By the way the service manual calls for rtv on the fronts of the gaskets and the torque specs are 2.0nm the first pass around and 8.3nm the second pass in the correct sequence. Other than that great video 👍
Awesome tutorial. Mine just what I was in store for. Not too bad at all. Hardest part looks like when your putting cover back on with gasket falling out lol.
Love all the Titan vids, not enough info out there for these under appreciated trucks. Maybe future Evap canister replacements/service. Maybe rear axl seals. Rack pin replace?
Good work bud very good work by just a question you didn’t think about undoing the negative on the battery because you were unhooking all types of sensors
Question : serpentine broke on 2004 Nissan titan. now, it turns over but wont start. ( did not replace the belt because, i thought it should run without it) also found out it had no oil on the dipstick. Could the belt have taken out a sensor, and or is there a oil sensor that would stop the engine from starting.
Did you use rtv silicone on the front? I've seen some videos where they apply silicone to either side of the hump on the front of the valve cover gasket is that necessary?
Fake news, they're serviceable with a hole saw or just use RTV 😁. Gasket has to be RTV'd in. You'll never get it to stay with the tight fit, then it rolls in the back and you're doing it all over again. This is especially true on rwd V6s. Also, no RTV on the front corners means it's going to leak. Cmon, that's Nissan 101 (along with the green connectors being stupid).
Hey I have a 05 armada se off road and it cranks but wont start I replaced the ipdm and the crankshaft sensor still nothing just the same crank no start could it be the camshaft sensor that could the cause of the no start
@@josephkoslov3251 I have that sensor I will install tomorrow morning I will keep you updated if run into problems can I reach out for help thanks buddy
@@josephkoslov3251 did your titan ever cut off while driving? Having issues with mine doing it. I did the ipdm test and it seems fine. Truck starts fine but cuts off here and there while driving
@@Major992 I'm having that exact problem right now with an 05 titan. It happens after she's run hot, like freeway speeds. Relaxed driving doesn't seem to cause it so far. I'm troubleshooting various items. Cleaned throttle body and Mass air flow sensor, ran ipdm test. Next is camshaft position sensor, since it keeps throwing that code on my reader. I assumed that was a side effect, but I'll swap the sensor now to see.
These are very high quality and thorough videos. Thank you!

Do you have torque specs for the 10mm perimeter bolts?

Sounds like an issue I had on my 05 Titan. It turned out to be the camshaft position sensor.
