Geezus the gems of knowledge that you throw out every now and then really really refocus and center the ideology of becoming a maker....Thanks for making this content.
Thank you for being Truthful!
Jason, even though my name is Chad, and I know how you feel about People named Chad, I like that you are you and you do what you do. You think what you think and say what you say. It is a breath of fresh air! Thank You!
I find watching you work to be calming and very therapeutic. Again thank you for your contribution during these trying times.
The flow of lines is amazing, great job. Thanks for more knowledge.
These videos are packed with information, thank you!
Thank man I’m learning so much and being able to apply it in the forge thanks and God bless!!!
Dang, that was not boring at all watching you grind that, as you suggested it may have been. It is all part of watching you reveal the sculpture you saw in it. Totally cool.
From the time I first saw you forge 5 years ago you continue to inspire me and many others. That is the ultimate gift! All the best

Hello Jason, Really liked when you were on the show FIF. Just appreciated your honesty as a judge. I feel real blessed that I have now found your talents on display once again on RUclips for all to enjoy! Keep Forging and have a wonderful day!!!
Great content. Love the hollow ground clip. Keep on keeping on
I've been a fan of forged In fire from day one. But these videos are exactly what I needed to pick up my personal torch. Thank you.
Learning so much just watching how you view a project from start to completion. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Loving the Wakizashi video's as well. Keep up the great work as a lot of us are learning a great deal.
Fantastic, and enjoyed being able to observe that process I will see it several times 👌🏾👌🏾
I can't be the only one that's decided that Jason is the Bob Ross of blade smithing
Love this guy😉👍
Fantastic content! Your team really found that perfect angle right over your shoulder at the grinder. Thanks for all the effort!
You are the Bob Ross of blacksmithing.
Didn't know you had a channel, just learned about it from Out of the Woods channel which apparently will be doing a video here this morning. Subscribed and looking forward to checking out more videos
Yes! Thanks for grinding the Barong, very cool interpretation of the profile and style. Been wondering about it since you forged it!
Finished grind brother. Thats the next step for me to learn. Close ups are fantastic. And the whys behind doing things are excellent.
Thank you very much for sharing Jason. I really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Jason, I should be taking (if the Good Lord is willing and the social distancing is over) the ABS Introduction to Bladesmithing in July at SOFA in Troy Ohio. I just this evening got word from Joel Worley there are spots still open and my wife said I could attend. (When you are retired and on limited income, you have to get permission to spend a big sum of money.) Just thought I would let you know. Hoping to have the Elemental Knife forged by then also. I am going through forging withdrawal since I can't get to my shop and can only do stock removal. But this is sure improving my grinding skills.
Amazing work
I like the tiger mythological part :D
Uncommon sense! Well put. So true! 🤯
Balancing an object on your finger tells you where the center of mass is and can can inform you where the mass distribution is. I find its a useful thing to be aware of when establishing rotational nodes when making swords. It's something that helps produce more consistent results and informs the weight and design of the hilt, as well as the amount of distal taper, and profile taper in the blade and in the tang. Mass distribution can also be useful for reducing fatigue and maximizing one specific function of a tool (i.e optimizing a tool for thrusting, slicing, chopping, throwing). I often balance knives and swords on my fingers during the making process but find it actually doesn't help the user/consumer at all. When considering buying a new weapon or tool it has to fit and feel right in the hand while excelling at it's intended purpose. Balance is a complex structure of things that are difficult to understand and calculate but are easy to feel (or sometimes see). Balance is physics and proportions, geometry, art and asthenic, mass distribution... feel, fit, form, and function. In this way a tool tells you what it is and how it is used as soon as you pick it up and move it around.
Hello from Syracuse NY
I'm so ready to get the forged series. Been doing nothing but stock removal, and I'm in the process of buying an anvil and hammers.
Awesome thx!! Learned a lot thx again!
Mr. Knight quick question have you ever thought of replacing those lights with LED bulbs he'd get a much stronger wider light
@@JasonKnightMS Watch what is called the color temperature of LED lights, 5k is daylight and 2700k is darn close to a warm yellowish light.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks for shering.
Do you have a signature blade e.g. Sax or Bowie, camp knife?
He's pretty much the kukri king but makes alot of different blades
Jason: I see that you have a sweet leg vise that you use for straightening in many of your videos. Where did you get ahold of that vice? Is there a brand or maker that you'd recommend as far as leg vices? What would you expect to pay for for one?
Blacksmith, check the forearms👍
The small multi camera doesn’t work
What respirator is that?
Question: do you primarily full quench your blades and oven temper? I dont believe Ive seen you selectively heat treat.
@@JasonKnightMS can I ask why you no longer do?
How would you temper a sword if you dont have a vertical heat treat oven like yourself? I've been thinking about torch tempering but I'm curious if you've got a better way
@@JasonKnightMS that's how I do most of them this is much to long for an oven though
👍
U should attach some alternators to all ur belt wheels n use all the charge uv saved fro sum frankinstine thing??? Niva no m8
Hello
U OK big man uv mentioned u want 2 hit people twice I fink.. Jus dnt take the camara guy wif u.. Denyabilitie n no need to hit him afta👍
I see these videos, and I notice the buckets, Lowes here, but generally the home depot version... not just here but everywhere and I'm all why the F do people buy buckets, they are like flies their everywhe... Oh yeah, most people are not loggers that spend at least one day a month replacing hydraulic hoses and refilling tanks...
Comment of slapping anyone who judges balance point has me questioning as a chef I like a heavier handle in my kitchen knives as well as felt he overall fell are you saying that is stupid not being hostile just a genuine question
Its really sad that you have to spend half your time on a video apologising for your opinion
