I bought this game and played it non-stop just to find out when I beat the main story line it gave me credits and had me start over... That's the only thing I hated about it...
That would be so kick ass. I tend to over use explosives in xcom 2. It would be cool if the enemy ai would catch on and be able to counter it on its on.
I bought this....I absolutely love the direction the series took...energy depletes on your soldiers. People form bonds...you get assaulted by the lost in droves..they are deadly..difficulty can be medium to insane. Your choice..all in all this feels like a better overall game...great job..
Game is huge, paid $27, it's worth full price. Upgrades make it superior and more fun than first campaign. 5 stars! Make a fantasy tactical rpg with the same engine!

...none of these are "changes", they're all new features that had already been prominently promoted. I wanted to know about CHANGES they were making to the existing game, like how Enemy Within gave Sectopods armour that halves all damage they take. This was nothing we didn't already know.
One confirmed change is with the Alien Hunter DLC. For those who don't know, the DLC includes three alien lords, amped up versions of three XCOM2 enemies (the viper, berserker, and arcon respectively). The problem people had with them was that these enemies had the ability to move and act each time your soldiers did an action. Even reloading gave them an action. This means most players have to rely on a lucky insta kill via repeater and a prayer to RNGesus so they don't get stomped. This expansion changes that so the Alien Lords only get a new action each time they SEE a soldier do something major. They won't act if a soldier does something out of sight or behind cover unless it's shooting or moving, and minor actions like hacking, healing, or reloading don't trigger the effect.
Forgot a main key point, the resistance base raids now have a version where members of the resistance is armed and protect their civilian counterparts.
Yup. I watched it on a channel not too long ago. Dev was playing with them and it showed after the preset mission they did ..think it is called "Lost and abandoned"..the reaper gained more of a bond with a soldier who served on that said mission.
Anyone can bond with anyone, with the exception of SPARKS :( And Soldiers can develop multiple bonds before you confirm them and lock them in, allowing flexibility
Its looking really good, but the cost is 40€ and that is a ridiculously high price for an expansion. Really hoped for something along the lines of 20-30€
Julle they say that original plan xcom war of the chossen was xcom 3 but they dont have a new script for that game and so they make it a dlc. price is ok if u think in that. pd sorry for my english i m not native speaker
The two new new classes look badass. The Reaper is the dream class for stealthy players and the skirmisher sounds pretty cool being able to Scorpio enemies
Too bad you get premade characters for the new classes (at least the first ones you get). Then again, I like the cinematics and voice acting for those heroes so I think it's a good choice.
The Lost are pulled straight out of the Binding of Isaac. They look like the most fragile enemies to ever exist, even more so than the original Sectoids.

0:29 believe you got that wrong in the abstract sense. They aren't playable classes. They are soldier classes. You don't play as them, you play with them.
It's like the other DLC, so you'll have to restart to get the full benefits. All 3 chosen will appear (unless already defeated) in the final mission, so it won't continue after the game's finished.
Just wanted to say, WOTC definitely feels easier and more fun than the vanilla Xcom 2 game. [If you are a Xcom 2 player or going to be getting WOTC and or Xcom 2 as a whole, hear me out!] I played Xcom 2 in Vanilla Form and it feels very aggressive and doesn't feel like you can win. I bought the Collection and had to (Forced to I should say) fight the 3 Alien Hunters (Viper, Berserker and Achalen Kings) and it really was a pain to even control the Avatar Project even being on Rookie Difficulty. With the WOTC, you have more options to choose from the start like Doubling the Avatar Project Timer and Timers with Missions. In addition, WOTC offers more options for customization, more ways to make your soldiers overpowered for late game and last but not least provide you with (as said: Fraction Heroes). Now, I don't think the Vanilla is bad necessary but I think they should have added features from WOTC to the vanilla (Like having the ability to double Avatar Project Progress) because its very difficult in the main game to juggle Alien Hunters, Avatar Project Progress and Base Building all at the same time. In Conclusion, to anyone who is going to get the Collection and try it for themselves, try the Vanilla at first see what you think but if you are feeling defeated and think it's too hard of a game play WOTC.
The one question I have at the moment is probably the last important one, but with the bonds thing, is it a romantic or platonic relationship? I'm assuming the latter, but the language of everyone who's mentioned it makes me unsure XD
Question: are these new classes actually new classes, or hero characters? And I mean that in the sense that, will there be other characters that I can recruit as these classes who are not actual characters in and of themselves like mox?
Jason Duverney they're more like special classes. You can't train a normal soldier to be that class but they're not just 1 hero character. I believe you can also customize them
i would love more detailed and cool customization options for consoles children of anarchy was ok I never liked their first level armor but I liked the rest but I would likw things that actually CHANGE the look of the armor and make things more diverse along with more headgear that would be awesome!
I just want the Damn game to run better then 8 frames per second!!! I'm not exaggerating, I have a decent computer, I'm on minimum settings and that's all I get! love the game but it sucks when I can't even play it worth a Damn.
Lets hope then. XCOM 2 strategic map is flashy, but it does not have much strategic about it. Take the missions with resources first and then the rest....Long War is a bit better :)

However, this expansion introduces a tonne of additional stuff that wasn’t needed for the vanilla game to stand on its own merits. It was more than enough on its own so you are just wrong about the ripp off part.

you can get at least 1 of each, but to get 2 requires investment, 3 would be a stretch, and a full squad is most likely impossible.
