I am so scared it is gonna come off. Please help.
Hi there I hope you see this even though the video was years ago. I would just like to know if you have any suggestions on why this happened:. I had my brackets put on all my teeth all the way back to the second molar my Ortho did not put all the brackets on back to the third molar or wisdom tooth so after about 16 months of treatment I just noticed that the second molar was now pushing towards the tongue on the left and the right side and the doing the exact same thing at the top of my mouth on the left and the right side now you should know that I had bumpers put on because I chose clear braces and they suggested that I wear bumpers so that I didn't break off the clear brackets on the bottom teeth when I was chewing. But now I'm thinking those bumpers caused this problem. What do you think or do you have any suggestions? My Ortho says that is nothing to worry about and it's not a big deal and that as long as the grooves or notches inside of my tooth lines up to the next tooth I shouldn't be worried and ortho saying that they're lining up pretty good.Any advice will be greatly appreciated so much thank you

I wanted to know I just got my hawley retainers and in terms of taking them out for only eating and drinking, do I need to brush my teeth before I put my retainer back in?? And do I need to clean them morning and night, so every day???
Can I drink lemon/lime water while wearing my retainers? Just got my retainers yesterday but forgot to ask my dentist, but I'm used to drink a lot of lemon water throughout the day, my water is not super strong on lemon probably like half of a lime or lemon per about 30oz of water...

@Ritika ❤️ Hello, I was suggested by my Orthodontist to wear the retainers for 6 months full time after my braces was removed, and then only during nights after 6 months , in total 1 year , i was wearing the hawley retainer after braces was removed
@Ritika ❤️ there will be a slight movement but not prominent and visible. I personally prefer wearing the retainers at nights like alternate days even now.
@Ritika ❤️ I may stop wearing it by end of this year coz I feel my teeth is perfect now and I was wearing the hawley retainer for 3 years now (1st year as recommended by my Ortho , rest 2 years as I felt I need to wear it ) but I recommend that you follow the suggestions by your Orthodontist coz as you know the scenario will not be the same for all the case and it depends on the severity and it varies... and I don't know whether you're in your braces stage or retainers , but I'd say don't stress much and everything will be fine and you're gonna have a beautiful alignment, even I was more concerned when i was wearing the braces but trust the process and allow it time...I wish you everything will be in place as your wish 🤞

I have a question please. I had braces. Took them out and placed a metal retainer for 6 years. Now i took it off and have these transparent retainer. But taking the retainer out, blood came out. Any suggestions please?
I had night time retainers straight away with permanent retainers as well. I’m still upset that no one told me that the wires were permanent 😔✌️
You have got to be kidding me 🥴🥴💔
Same happened with me i got to know it the day i was getting my clear retainers .... I asked the dr when will my permanent retainers will be removed she said it's for the rest of your life and my mind was🤯🤯 it's heartbreaking literally...... Spending so much money and still have to tolerate the retainers 😭😭😭
@@wajihaali6104 I feel you... permanent retainers suck!!! It's been a couple of months since I got them I still not used to them... it's annoying
@@ilariandre_ hey, were you given upper and lower permanent retainers together with clear retainer?
@@oscarbanks3810 yes, exactly..
My ortho is garbage, they estimated me 18 months for my braces and 2 years later and now they’re forcing me to get my braces off cause my contracts up but my teeth aren’t even straight, they suckered me into a 4,750 contract for 18 months...
Sorry to hear.
You should start mewing as it doesn't cost anything. NM
Thank you👍 you answered all of my questions in this video ❤️
I only have retainers on my bottom teeth because my upper teeth are pretty straight. I think that I grind my teeth at night do you think I need to go for upper retainers too? I only got braces on the bottom teeth for the second time. Thank you
Hi I have clear retainers top and bottom put I’m getting a permanent tooth implant . Once I put the implant can I request a permanent retainer from my orthodontist
Thank You Dr Collins. I have a 3 unit bridge (2 front upper central incisors and 1 lateral incisor). I just removed my braces 4 days ago. I am going to do some restorative work and change the old bridge with a new bridge and get some fillings on my canine to remove cavity. Can I wear my plastic retainer over the bridge? I am so scared it is gonna come off. Please help.
Do you whiten your teeth?
My Ortho says that is nothing to worry about and it's not a big deal and that as long as the grooves or notches inside of my tooth lines up to the next tooth I shouldn't be worried and ortho saying that they're lining up pretty good.Any advice will be greatly appreciated so much thank you
The only thing I hate when I first got my retainer was the taste.
when u all dont wear your retainerfor few nights does ur mouth start to hurt and teeth????
@Doom Slayer when u all dont wear your retainerfor few nights does ur mouth start to hurt and teeth????
@Doom Slayer same sometimes does ur mouth hurt when u dont wear it for w faw days
-Remembers the time my dog ate my retainer-
First 24 hours, I didn't even have retainers because they weren't made. I only wear retainers at night since I got my retainers, because they told me to.
Have your teeth shifted?
@@ariess7394 Slightly, but not enough to make my retainers NOT fit my teeth :)
Arent you from Tiktok?
Yes he is!!
I stopped and now I have to probably get braces again 😑
Dang.
im an idiot iveforgotten to wear my retainers for about a month. ive tried wearing them for the whole day today but its soooo painful and wont stay in... so i guess i have to get an appointment
I think you shouldn't drink anything but water. My orthodontist told me so... you shouldn't drink water with lemon before sleeping anyway... just drink as much as you want before brushing and putting your retainers on...
Should I have a gap in my bite/smile when I wear my clear retainer
I did, but it when away after wearing my retainers for a couple of days.
Yes I have the same thing
I just got my retainer and its so tight i cant even get it all the way in and it even gets stuck on my teeth and its painful

i didn't wear my retainer for like, a year. luckily it still fits, it still shifted a lot
@@changofeo4208 i just got mine and i have this problem
@@camila.gonzalez1 don't worry, It's only at first for everytime you dont wear them for some hours. After you put them on for about half an hour, the retainer sort of molds itself to your teeth
I have to wear them all day and night and I wear them just at night my dentist don’t know and they said my teeth look nice
My orthodontist is charging me extra for my first retainers. Is that even allowed?
And they didn’t mention the extra cost until after my treatment
Everytime I wear it it hurts
I’m super confused my orthodontist said to go straight to wearing it just at night but I’m scared that I wasn’t paying attention and I should wear them at day
my dentist said the same thing to me, wear them at night. I was also confused
Im dumb i didn’t wear them for like a month and they didn’t fit anymore and 1year later i havent used it now i gotta go to dentist and tell him what i did
I was searching retainers videos for some tips for later on and this popped up
I got my today
They told me to wear them full time for a week then night for lifetime. But after a week every time I don’t wear the retainers when I do wear them my teeth feel tight that’s a sign of teeth movement. What should I do.
Just got mine today. I'm only a nighttime wearer.
What if I grind my teeth but wear a Hawley retainer? What do I do?
My mom lost her retainer and waited months and had to get them again
I just gor retainers and my orthodontist siad to wear them every night .
My orthodontist said i wear it 24 seven for a month then only night after that
I have a metal retainer, how often should I change it
@Ritika ❤️ Hello, I was suggested by my Orthodontist to wear the retainers for 6 months full time after my braces was removed, and then only during nights after 6 months , in total 1 year , i was wearing the hawley retainer after braces was removed
@Ritika ❤️ there will be a slight movement but not prominent and visible. I personally prefer wearing the retainers at nights like alternate days even now.
@Ritika ❤️ yes, it is over , My ortho recommended to wear it 1 year with no excuses
Wait so if it still fits good there still good? :( because when I wear mine they fit but they go up a little bit
same here i be feelin like i have a shifted fit even with them on then i find myself feeling insecure lol trying to fix it myself throughout the day 🙃
Thank you
Thank youuuuu so much for expland,my ortonodt never expland me this and thanks to u i know now, i am wearing breaces about 1year and 8months i Got now rubberbands was so painfull at beggining now its ok.So can u tell me how long i would wear it to fix my deep bitte?
My orthodontist said I have have to wear it for the rest of my life and that just hit me like a nuclear bomb since I expected like one year or 2
So, you did no research? No even trying to be funny. Our gums shift throughout our life, so to then would the teeth connected to them. Just wear them so you teeth won’t shift too much. Yes they’re a commitment, but you won’t have to wear them 24/7. Just on and off for the rest of your life. No biggie, you got this.
@@patricew.4010 sorry your smarter than me. Nobody asked for your opinion
