Freddie King got a lot of inspiration and was heavily influenced, by those teens that would come to be known as ZZ Top. it sure shows in this video! Thanks.
sign of a great performer ...you build up the tension...takes until 3:21 until Freddie really let's it go...and again holds it back...for the next time..
@Kevin James like so many songs that have some similarities to others, I can listen to Footstompin Music by GFR and then Boogie Funk by Freddie King and hear the influence Freddie could’ve had on Mark, Don, Mel, and Craig
My Gawd, Freddy is electrifying! I wasn't prepared for the massive energy in this vid! I feel like statically charged. Maybe I should touch a lightning rod to get rid of that buzzing in my bones ...
I've got this performance recorded, with microphone, from the TV somewhere. I was fourteen at the time it was broadcasted and I thougth Freddie King was fantastic (although I listened to Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin at that time)
why this incredible guitarist is not best 10 list .why not Robert gray and Chris rea. we only like show men like JH who bites, crush the guitar ,wild on the stage.
Freddie was a Guitar God and I can see why Angus Young views him as an inspiration to his playing
He's an inspiration to all guitar players...

Imagine Freddie and Stevie playing together. Man my head would explode.
I don't think they ever did. Maybe Stevie might have opened for him back in the early 1970s. More than likely his brother Jimmie did.
Tysons Accosta yeah I think Stevie saw him a lot but new got the chance to play with him.
@Kevin James like so many songs that have some similarities to others, I can listen to Footstompin Music by GFR and then Boogie Funk by Freddie King and hear the influence Freddie could’ve had on Mark, Don, Mel, and Craig
