I saw Eric Clapton live in 1975, and it was one of the best concerts of my life. Clapton had finally gotten clean, and his performance was incredible. The opening act was Texas Blues Legend Freddie King, who was just dripping with the blues. Clapton came out and played a few songs with King during his set. After Clapton finished his set, there was a 30-minute delay. The crowd was getting restless, and then suddenly Freddie and Clapton came out together and did another 30-minute set of dueling slide guitars that was jaw-dropping. Sadly, about 6 months later Freddie King passed away.
