Thanks for the testing though I would've liked to see a genuine pair of Leatherman Raptors

Thanks! As a matter of fact I also have the fake Raptor and trauma scissors. I was wondering if they were any good.

Terrific video. Really appreciate the comparison. It was interesting seeing how the regular fabric scissors fared. I love all the features on the raptor but never used even the ring cutter in my ED. Now they've gotten rusty and dull, and I'm not one for taking mine apart to clean. I'm attracted to the simplicity and light weight Xshears as an alternative and this is kind of sealing the deal for me.. Thanks again for the great review.

Thank you for your comment, I think it's important to showcase the difference quality makes especially in something that can be considered "life saving equipment" or when time is of the essence. I think the Raptors are great and have their purpose and place but I as well enjoy how simple the XShears are and how well built.

@@rothesayprepper Totally agreed! A poorly made/cheap pair of shears can be more trouble than it's worth when needing to quickly expose a patient. I think I will leave my Raptor in my car for the belt cutter/window breaker feature God forbid I should need them. But the XShears should be very handy in the ED trauma bays. Thank you again and good luck.

Almost a bad comparison when you use a FAKE Leatherman RAPTOR ... I would not expect them to even done as good as they did.
"regular" scissors did a great job compared to the TRAUMA shears ( wonder what a high quality pair might have done ? )
    XSHEARS in 2022 are going for about $40 ... I ordered a few and have high expectations for those ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Ya the X-Shears are the way to go especially when Raptors are $120, they are nice if your looking for a compact solution. But I do prefer the simplicity and heavy duty of the X-Shears.
