I have a pair of Raptors and I absolutely love them - I'm a box medic in central Florida and have them attached to my radio belt and use them ALL the time, definitely my most frequently used tool at work

I bought like 5 pairs of County Comm trauma shears. Whenever I would let people borrow my Leatherman Raptors, I would notice a lot of people would try to hold onto them. I'd always have to ask for them back. 💀💀💀

Gotta say, cheap isn't always nasty. I got a two-pack of generic Chinesium shears off Amazon for around 13 pound (one pair for an FAK, one for around the house). I've used the 'house' ones to open clamshell packaging, cut fabric, coax cable, paracord, carpet, and god knows what else, and they have never let me down. Even the black coating hasn't worn off!
Don't know if I just got lucky, but it's the best value £6.50 I've ever spent.

Great video! Having tried many shears in the field, I find the xshears cut through absolutely everything and are wicked easy to clean. On the other hand, raptors are phenomenal rescue tools with multiple functions. It's all about preference, and what you need them for.

Cheers legend! I agree. It’s hard to overstate or deny the superiority of the XShears - but I’ll always carry a set of raptors or One Shears because oxygen keys are 👌 so useful haha.

After getting tired of using the freebies I usually use I bought myself a set of Xshears. Even just the way they feel in the hand is so much better than anything else I've used. I was considering a set of raptors but I already carry a Skeletool Rx that I got as a gift so there wasn't any point in something over double the price

Yea mate I totally agree! XShears kill the raptors. I have both and only ever use the raptors for said multitools (which you can get elsewhere individually cheaper) 🙌

X-Shears for me. They will go through anything but dony buy the buy their expensive rigid holster. Bulky and impractical.

I’m not sure they have holsters for that currently! MyMedEquip have the standard Leatherman holster for the Rescues.

Not sure if youve ever used or held a SOF-T TQ but if a pair of shears can handle that then denim is a breeze. Plus, most $10-$15 shears can cut thru denim.
