To be fair, that Jedi has clearly fallen to the Darkside himself. 1. Killed a surrendering Storm Trooper the was begging for his life. And was killed brutally anyways. 2. Taking his sweet time with another one. He deliberately took his time and ENJOYED it. 3. The final trooper had removed his helmet and was holding a blaster on a SITH LORD. That should be enough to make any Jedi question if he was defecting or even a undercover agent. Yet he not only killed him without letting him speak. He took the time to do so when the Sith Lord was FLEEING. The guy he was most likely there to stop. Yet he enjoyed killing so much he went after the trooper anyways just because he was there. 4. Yes before someone tries to say "But he was wielding blue lightsabers!", yeah so what. Changing your alignment doesn't automatically change your Lightsaber. They are not mood rings. In old cannon the crystal color was set in stone before you put it in, and new cannon...they are now somewhat mood rings...but you still need to take time to attune them to your Force aura. Heck in order to get a red Crystal you need to torture it (yes the crystal is in a way alive) in order to "bleed" it red. No matter what it won't just change. Look at Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. Fell to the Darkside, and not a single bit of red...even after the youngling massacre. No wonder the Sith was scared. That guy is not holding back anymore...and is reveling in the butchery.

Additionally, he actually wrote about Sith doing this exact thing in a way, commenting on how high ranking Sith Lords in the Sith Empire usually kept their Sith Warriors in reserve, which was dumb since they attained their rank through trials of combat and demonstrations of skill, yet were denied the privilege to fight on the frontlines.

Even in the original 3 movies, Vader is almost always personally involved right from the beginning. This guy was jumping into dogfights for goodness sake. All of the prequals it is the same for Anakin, dude was literally always on the frontlines or beyond going for the strongest opponent. If you include the novels, games, etc, then yes, there is even more, and it is even explicitly stated, but only considering primary media, Vader/Anakin is by far the most capable, and almost always has to be personally involved. You know, you could fight ALONGSIDE your soldiers. In addition, you could give the anti- Jedi soldiers weapons like ballistic guns, flamethrowers, and other weapons that a Jedi can't parry. These are preferred weapons by Jedi hunters. Jango Fett, for example, used flamethrowers and a rocket launcher.

Vader was (even in his restricted physical state) an active combatant who would enter with his Stormtroopers or fly Formation Leader within his squadrons. He led by example not by word, a trait carried over since before his defeat as Anakin.

Love that the attacker is likely neutral rather than light side but the trooper says f*ck it light side gotta be better. Also imagine a sith sending everyone (even the techs), in the attempt to weaken the enemy and to raise their own fear so they can draw more power. I've never seen a Jedi kill people who surrender with the exception of the Sith holocaust hundreds of years earlier. That's why Anakin said it wasn't the Jedi way when Mace tried to kill Palpatine, it's actually frowned upon and you're taught not to do it. That isn't to say Jedi never did, Pong Krell was infamous for his horrible treatment of his own men and his war crimes but in all fairness was aspiring to be a Sith.

It’s nice when Caleb finally uploads a skit based on source material I actually fully understand. But then again, I don’t watch any anime or play any RPGs, and I can STILL appreciate Caleb’s humor in those types of skits. Which just goes to show how talented and hilarious this man is.
There are a few exceptions, but not many. Darth Vader is one. Darth Malgus is another. Darth Sion is definitely such an exception. Even Darth Bane too, perhaps. All four of them are some of the beefiest absolute units in Star Wars lore, with Vader, Malgus, and Bane all making pain their personal concubine and Sion repeatedly getting back up after deciding he was too angry to die. Really, the tanky sith are the most likely to go hands on. If they can chew a missile and spit out the explosion, they tend to just waltz in - after all, what use is fear if you can do it yourself better than anyone else? That is to say - I think a majority of Sith who send lackeys first, are probably afraid. Though, there's exceptions to that, too - such as Sidious, who's simply winning 4d chess while everyone else is busy playing 3d chess.
*Count Dooku went head up against Syfo Dias, Komari Vosa, Anakin & Obi (twice), Yoda, Tiplee, Maul, Savage, Ventress the Night Sisters & Mother Talzin to name a few*

It was only after arriving on Mustaphar, witnessing Anakin choking Padme to death, hearing Anakin's allegiance to the Empire and THEN mentioning how anyone who doesn't side with him is his enemy IS the straw that broke the Camel's back for Obi-wan.

I realize when a Sith or a Jedi does that it's kinda just for style points, but still it seems sorta impractical. I mean, you're flicking your cloak out the way already, your hand's already started down that path where you can just grab it normally... You're just kinda stressing your space wizard powers for no reason other than to look cool. Also, realistically, who's doing this? You know, you could fight ALONGSIDE your soldiers. In addition, you could give the anti- Jedi soldiers weapons like ballistic guns, flamethrowers, and other weapons that a Jedi can't parry. These are preferred weapons by Jedi hunters. Jango Fett, for example, used flamethrowers and a rocket launcher.
Skilled enough Jedi can probably push the fire away or just dodge the rocket

Nope. Not really. Even though the movies and shows paint stormtroopers in a shitty way, the stormtroopers were highly trained soldiers equivalent to US marines in the real world. The normal foot soldier grunts were the imperial army shown in solo.

I've never seen a Jedi kill people who surrender with the exception of the Sith holocaust hundreds of years earlier. That's why Anakin said it wasn't the Jedi way when Mace tried to kill Palpatine, it's actually frowned upon and you're taught not to do it. That isn't to say Jedi never did, Pong Krell was infamous for his horrible treatment of his own men and his war crimes but in all fairness was aspiring to be a Sith.

Yeah, except for that first time we see him. He sends a bunch of minions into that counselor ship from Alderaan before walking out looking badass.
There are a few exceptions, but not many.
Darth Vader is one. Darth Malgus is another. Darth Sion is definitely such an exception. Even Darth Bane too, perhaps. All four of them are some of the beefiest absolute units in Star Wars lore, with Vader, Malgus, and Bane all making pain their personal concubine and Sion repeatedly getting back up after deciding he was too angry to die.
Really, the tanky sith are the most likely to go hands on. If they can chew a missile and spit out the explosion, they tend to just waltz in - after all, what use is fear if you can do it yourself better than anyone else? That is to say - I think a majority of Sith who send lackeys first, are probably afraid. Though, there's exceptions to that, too - such as Sidious, who's simply winning 4d chess while everyone else is busy playing 3d chess.
