I been maining a tank shaman on SOD, it’s the most fun I have in WoW in ages. Making a shaman tank in War Within will definitely bring me back to retail.
I always felt an Earth tree that specialised in tanking would be awesome for Shaman

Only if they give us 2H weapons back. Pigeon holing and funneling shaman into DW in BC onwards was one of the most baffling, senseless choices blizz ever made and I don't think they ever explained why.
Shaman tank spec is definitely much more plausible now. With this new patch cadence/cycle, they've shown they're willing to add specs mid-expansion. Alongside the shaman tank in the follower dungeon, I think it's a possibility!

I'm as degenerate as the next guy when it comes to goat porn but I actually find her character interesting, believe it or not. Some of us prefer essentially good characters quietly struggling with aspects of their faith or consumption by zealotry, rather than growly orcs growling.

I’ve always thought shamans needed the Druid treatment. Keep all the current specs, add a fourth tank spec, and then focus each spec even further into specific elements. Prot would be earth, Enhancement would be fire, Elemental would be Lightning, and Resto would be water and nature, with wind being shared between them all.
in vanilla that was the plan they were able to off tank then they decided not to allow it after patch 1.2
honestly them adding a shaman tank I think that would be really cool sense SoD has shaman tank as a proper thing so to have it live on in some way I think it would just be really cool
Nyckelharpa is Swedish/Nøkkelharpe is Norwegian for 'key harp', kind of a cross between a viola and a hurdy gurdy, the latter of which it probably shares Middle-Eastern roots. The instrument arrived in Scandinavian (mainly Swedish and Norwegian) folk music in the 17th century via Germany. It's the same instrument as is used in the Grizzly Hills theme, I believe, as well as lots of other fantasy movies/games soundtracks.
After the Thrallaclysm expansion I had enough of thrall to last 7 lifetimes. He was in every quest and dungeon it felt like.

I created a Shaman based off a character who uses a shield, but couldn't really get into being an Elemental Shaman. Having a Shaman tank spec that uses a shield would be fantastic. They attempted Shaman tank specs before, and I do hope they'll commit to it again.

Last legitimate mail tanks was when warrior and pally had to get to level 40 to use plate. Had to use mail before then.
I'm just going to call it now (because no one else has) that login screen is slowly breaking apart and its 100% going to burst open on launch day.

I suspect the undisclosed shaman "update" is more likely to be rolling it out to all races rather than getting a tank spec.

@@Robzeke Yeah, they said no new combos coming "immediately", but we've known since before DF released that they are already actively working on expanding the combos, and Shaman should be next in line based on the lore and asset complexities of druid and paladin. And, I'm not saying that's definitely what it is, I'm just saying that's more likely than a tank spec.
Trials is my fave short story so far, i watched Pyromancer do a reading and he did a voice similar to Thrall in tone when Thrall spoke, it gave life to the narration for me. that being said, i look forward to more of Thrall's children having stories, since one or both may go on to lead the Orcs one day.

It was always supposed to be a thing all the way back in vanilla but got cut because one of the devs had a hate boner for multi-role classes.

Pretty sure during the war crimes novel kairoz chose that specific timeline to bring garrosh to because an alternate version of him didn't exist in it. So unless he was born later or they ressurected our dead one we left in nagrand. I dont think it's gonna happen. I'm all for fighting a lightforged zealot army though xD

I miss Enhancement Shaman using 2H weapons.
Shaman needs it's Venthyr covenant ability as a baseline with the flame shock crit legendary as a talent and the Unity ability. Chain Harvest was EASILY the best ability shaman have had in a really long time...especially when the flame shocks it produced could crit to reduce it's cooldown.
Will I need external information to understand the story and the characters in The War Within?

my problem with each expansion is that by the end of the expansion prior you feel pretty bad ass. Then you’re supposed to start a new expansion where you will initially feel pretty bad ass again but then by the time you reach level cap, the whole cycle starts over again.. You feel like a wet noodle until you grind enough reputation, and dungeons.

I actually like the log in screen. It's like unlocking a chest. Evoker not being a tank was a missed opportunity and I think Augment Shaman would have been better lorewise and raiding. Just my two cents.

The yrel going crazy part is still one of the most outlandish decisions on blizzards part. I know we recently fought a massive war to avoid being enslaved by the orcs and we just reached peace after stopping a world destroying threat. But with 0 context and 0 plot, we are gonna make the far more peaceful faction the aggressor. The only thing i can think of is they got tired of the writing being the horde commits a genocide or atrocity, commence the next war.
What if that login screen will change over time, the longer we get into the war within exp :D?
Locking the main story behind a bloody rep/renown wall is completely ludicrous. There isn't a single MMO that does this.

Like i dont rly get the login screen thing. But if anything why cant they make one from every major race city where NPC and stuff just go about their day and you can choose what screen you want.
Then again. U litterly look at the login screen for maybe 3seconds before it goes into your char select.
If we get shaman tank then that's my new main class. Lol main pally currently but keep having to have ranged alts cause I don't like druid. Another class that can fill every role would be sick.
Having the campaign locked behind renown in any form feels bad regardless of how fast/easy getting the renown is. Not the total end of the world but it’s unnecessary.
In regards to the arathi light leader, im recalling the old god whispers referencing the light. Maybe they werent refering the that light bound dread lord.
Ive mained enhance since the burning crusade....we have had alot and i mean alot of nerfbats that really crippled our class fantasy or just survival, hell even relevance unless your knowledegable enough to make it work.

Locking campaign progression behind renown will always be a bad thing, especially if the breakpoints cannot be reached by simply doing the campaign and a few side quests. Many people despise repitition, and avoid world quests and redoing events they've already done once, like the plague.
Into the machine campaign is still busted. Doubt the expansion is ready but we’ll see. Leveling from 70-76 is pretty quick but from 77 to 80 it takes a long time. Giving by the second map if you do delves, dungeons & quest you’ll get to 80 easily.
I like what I'm hearing with this expansion, but I liked what I heard about Dragonflight, and Shadowlands, and BFA, and Legion... Ended up hating all of them (Dragonflight not as much, but still got old very fast). I think Blizzard has run dry on trust, but I will check in periodically, and if 11.3.7 is satisfying, I'll consider trying the expansion. I'm not holding my breath though, the spell has been broken for me. I hope those who play it enjoy it, though.
Seems like the same old hype cycle doesn’t it… sigh. Hopefully, we get a banger expansion someday.
