BTW TJ you can score the race with a dremel and knock it inward to collapse it with a chisel or punch if the slide hammer hadn't worked, takes a few minutes and it fall right out that way
I’ve got a sacrificial bolt that fits my slide hammer, that I weld to inner races like that to get out. I use mostly on ford 9.75 rear axle bearings, you can’t get behind them very well with normal axle pullers, it’s an odd size. Usually breaks the race lip them it does nothing.
Congrats on the 50k subs, John. The nicest most humble drag racer out there. You're always kind to your fellow racers. Just the best attitude and disposition regardless of the situation. keep up the great content!
That bearing driver is supposed to installed the other way on the handle so it goes inside the bearing and the shoulder engages the edge of the outer bearing race. Helps keep it straight.
50k to the man after my own heart!!!! I grew up using swap meet and leftover Parts and helping my fellow racers with my take-offs. So we could all afford to race It's not racing without competition, I have been beaten with my own parts. Gladly.
Lol. Pulling that bearing reminded me of the f#+kery I had going on trying to install a rear main seal in my sbf. Two rear seals later, I got it. Lol. Man I love the videos
Anything that involves a puller, a tap set or a bolt extrator is a miserable time. Good job on the 50k! Always smiling and you give away some of the best infos
When you only had the bearing shell left, if you had a tig welder, you can run a few little beads with stainless tig wire and shrink it a touch and it will come out easy
Congrats John you deserve way more subs. You are one of the hardest working racers on yt. I got one of those sets to pull go cart wheel bearings and it did not get them out ended up using a long bolt and a hammer
u need a cam bearing and installer kit john . right too for the right parts u cannot beat the hell outta roller bearings when installing them heat the block and freeze the bearing
You should go to the Christmas tree race and set a new pb with the mew car John and you can do some collaboration with all the big RUclipsrs in Florida start the channel off with a bang for the new year! I think the new car will run quite a bit faster than the old copper car!
Roller cam bearings should never be installed by hammering them in, they need to be drawn in. I made a puller out of a long piece of threaded rod, some nuts, and big washers, and use the right size adapter mandrel out of my regular cam bearing tool to pull them in.
U are kidding me right? Why would U not just call Brodix? OMG! Sorry........U are absolutely crude. How could U ever deal with 2 3 4 and 5. Congrats though on 50K plus! I can hardly wait for what comes next. Special entertainment going on here...........
😬 omg....roller bearings should be drawn in. At minimum! Take an old cam and cut the journal off. Weld that or screw that attach it to whatever you're driving it with. It'll keep it centered and keep it from crushing the bearing. 😬
Tell your friends. Let’s get John to 100K! Where else can you see content like this? John shows the screwups we ALL have made. 🤣

Aint no damn wheel bearing boy... Glad you got it fixed.

Congratulations on the 50K!
Congrats on the 50k. 👍👍👍👍
So John I was sitting here just Screaming Use the Heaver Slide Hammer weight and I think it was about 7 min in and you finally heard me lol
Been a subscriber of yours since July of 2019.
Congratulations on the 50K mark!
Always look forward to your videos.
John in the future u could tig a bead or 2 around it and then cool it really fast. They will fall out then. If the block was apart just mig it.
U definitely deserves it John this is your buddy in the wheelchair at Rockingham and around here at around White Lake area🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂❤❤❤
That bearing driver is supposed to installed the other way on the handle so it goes inside the bearing and the shoulder engages the edge of the outer bearing race. Helps keep it straight.
Congratulations on the 50k and fixing your mess up 😂 seal driver FTW
Awesome repair TJohn & Randy!🤩🤩🤩🤩

Yes sir.....my trailer is like a little swap meet....lol
I've had the same issue, little slide hammers just dont do anything. I ended up buying the heaviest slide hammer i could find and made adapters.
that was the ticket...
Lol. Pulling that bearing reminded me of the f#+kery I had going on trying to install a rear main seal in my sbf. Two rear seals later, I got it. Lol. Man I love the videos

It’s great to see I’m not the only one that makes it so much harder than it has to be 🤬🤬🤬.
Right on John! 50K!🥇🏆 That's awesome man! The next 50K Subs will come quickly, it'll be here before you know it! 🎉
Fingers crossed!
When you only had the bearing shell left, if you had a tig welder, you can run a few little beads with stainless tig wire and shrink it a touch and it will come out easy
I came to say "weld the race."
Congratulations on the success with your channel ❤
We all make mistakes...sometimes it's the only way some of us learn.
🤘
Beat it like it owes ya money!!!
That was a job for a Master Bater. Ole Fist Of Fury Type Feller 😂
😂

Dont feel bad - I sometimes cant even get the right bolts at the hardware store when I go with the bolts I need in my hand.
LOL, Same....
Happy 50K!
congrats on 50 k keep it up !
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good save. Fin job
You make it look so easy. LOL
Guy ran into race car at Union last Saturday in the shutdown. Have some body repair on the left side
Gratsz on the subs, but let the adults operate those tools. That's painful to watch especially on an Aluminum block.
On to 100K!😮
Damn TJ can't get no respective. Already having a hard way to go and your buddies coming in saying his is much bigger than yours. Lol
Congrats on 50k
Thank you!!
Tig weld a little bead inside the race and it will fall right out
Is it a roller cam bearing or a cam roller bearing?😛
That’s why I install the cam before the bottom end.
Great Idea...
Graduations on the 50 you should have 100,000 but RUclips
Roller cam bearings should never be installed by hammering them in, they need to be drawn in. I made a puller out of a long piece of threaded rod, some nuts, and big washers, and use the right size adapter mandrel out of my regular cam bearing tool to pull them in.
Cool 😎 !

I can hardly wait for what comes next.
Special entertainment going on here...........
Where do you get used Reid powerglide cases an used planetary from ??
Does that roller bearing have a hole in it to get oil? Or is it just lubed by splash?
THAT IS SCARY
I can’t watch anymore of this comedy!
😬 omg....roller bearings should be drawn in.
At minimum! Take an old cam and cut the journal off. Weld that or screw that attach it to whatever you're driving it with. It'll keep it centered and keep it from crushing the bearing. 😬
Sometimes you should let the professionals. Do things like that.
❤👍😁 great job
Thanks
TJ No Quit In You
Anybody tried deep freezing the bearings see if they go inn easier
Always my dude!!! I watch every video no matter the content ..... an you use my sayin .... is what it is!!!
Thanks a ton
U need someone holding the block. Your losing all the energy and just rolling the stand.
I've never seen anybody put a bearing in the freezer guess thats the hillbilly way
lol, wait till you see the video today......heating the lower timing belt pulley and harmonic damper to slide on the crank....lol
U. deserve it : life. ☆ the greatest gift☆
U are embraced with enthusiasm:..:
They recommend freezing the bearings . Heating the block .
Install bearing by a professional.
😆🤷,,,,,,
lol cant be stuck if it is liquid
HARD TO WATCH
You need a heavier slide hammer
My 10 lb. Is a go to, but I do a lot of heavy stuff, like differential work.
Is the bearing bore still round?
