@projectMac03 Good - I was worried if Tesla would pay out but little risky not to do such on their end. You're welcome & thank you for the video & posting the referral code. Ordered M3 RWD LR Blue for wife after watching your trip to Charleston. I did drive some others like the Subaru Soltara, Chevy Equinox EV, etc. Took Tesla delivery this week. Maybe we'll meet sometime. We visit Charleston, Wilmington and Asheville pretty often based upon seasons along with Death Valley in fall -- Go Tigers! Enjoy your car.
Can you do some 0-60 tests and performance testing? I see that its rated to be much quicker than the regular RWD and I think they threw the Performance rear motor in it, making it like the RWD performance models of old, as well as having a lot of power and being lighter and cheaper, this vehicle is of great interest to me, so as you’re one of the first people with it could you post maybe a short of a quick launch or so? I think we would be greatly interested :)
Based on the loose right side mirror molding being sloppy, the right door gaps being off and the paint nips on the same side all the way across the care, are a sign of this car being in an accident and been thru the body shop. I have worked with car dealers for many years and this seems like it's the case for your car.
At the pickup, we checked our first car. Too many issues, I said find us another one. They did locate us another at a different location. The next one was perfect. 30k miles in one year so far.
I disagree, while these may seem minor or unnecessary, a starter company, even one in business over 10 years now needs criticism to get to a quality control level that Toyota, Ford, GM, Honda and every other legacy automaker sets for their vehicles. Even other starter ev brands seem to have Way less quality control issues per vehicle.. Tesla needs criticism or they’ll continue to figure “eh they’ll just deal with it bc they love the tech”. Elon musk CAN build perfect cars.. He chooses to build higher quantity of cars quicker. Hey everything fixed for free or refuse delivery. They’ll realize to sell.. they need QUALITY on delivery.
The person, that responded to my service request on my front doors light strips cracks like your, blamed chemicals in cleaning products and quoted my service request as customer paid service because I found these cracks after a month of having the car. I tinted all 4 windows the same day that took delivery, but these cracks are showing only on the front doors light strips a month later. I mentioned that this is a well known issues that many other new model 3 owner's in Tesla Owner Forum discussed, but the guy said that they don't care about those and quoted it as customer paid service . Hence, they don't cover this under warranty. I swear that I would never buy anything else from Tesla with that kind of customer service.
Picked up one last week and was a horrible experience. Car was filthy literally. Tape marking and residue all over the paint. Paint was terrible in the rear mid aligned panel inside. I’m going to have it in service until it’s a lemon. Other than that drives great battery is great. Just too many issues for a new car and they low key just make you take delivery and deal with it. Yeah they are the best in the game right now but they really do suck across the board.
I was super pleased with the quality of my new Model 3. There are no issues that I've discovered during my 2 weeks of ownership. The all-season floor mats should arrive from Tesla tomorrow. I'm doing the paper on the floor thing as well. I have the white interior and have no problems keeping the door panels or seats clean. Coming from a 2024 Model Y, the ride, noise deadening, build quality, sound system, and performance are fantastic in the Model 3. The Y was great and the 3 just improves on the experience all around. Very happy 3 owner here. Thanks again for the reviews and drives you're doing on the Long Range RWD Model 3.
I just purchased a 2024 AWD Model 3 Long Range. I get it September 19th. I can't wait. Thanks for very informative video. I will be checking my new car all over.
Congratulations on your new Tesla. You mentioned you can't keep the car clean. Welcome to any car with a dark color. I recommend the 3D floor mats. A bit pricey, but they last forever.
My biggest issue is the steering wheel not being centered when going straight. Mine is off by just a few degrees. They said it was fixed, but it's still a problem. The other issues were door dings, scratches and chips in the paint. Those were fixed with no problem.
Had my LR RWD model 3 for almost a month. I’ve been watching all your videos since you started making them as most people don’t have much insight on this specific model/created quality content. Besides a minor panel gap in my trunk I haven’t noticed any issues in mine, but will be sure to check out the issues you’ve remarked on mine tomorrow. Keep up the good work man! And I got a referral code if anyone wants to purchase one. Would put it towards a OEM spoiler 😂
AS you test drove the AWD, does your car feel more zippier than the AWD? I know the AWD is faster 0-60, but how did the AWD drive overal compared to your LR RWD model? I am not sure if the less weight of 1 motor less makes it feel faster. Can you shed a light here? Keep up with the content, subscribed!
I took delivery of my refreshed M3 LR in stealth grey black interior in March. Absolutely love this car. First EV. Only Tesla. For the floor mats get the 3D Maxpider they fit perfect all weather
I've had the following problems with my 2024 Model 3 Performance which were evident at Tesla Service Center delivery: unbalanced tire, squeaking premium bucket seat, cup holder door doesn't close, squeaking center console and squeaking armrest, transport damage to the rear lower valance (employee charging or truck/train loading and unloading), two paint shop defects (fabrication), adhesive from paper covering during transport, unclean exterior, a rattling passenger door closure, and a few more defects at fabrication time. Tesla needs to start a verified X account for "Tesla Service Center" so Tesla HQ and Elon Musk is more aware and in touch with the drop (my experience) in initial production quality / delivery / and Service Center diligence before delivery. I won't elaborate on the two attempts at rectifying the problems (TMI) but suffice to say after two attempts at two differenct Tesla Service Centers, most of the problems remain.
Thanks for all of your recent videos! I ordered my LR RWD last week after watching them all. Got mine coming in this month and will be on the look out for these.
I learned yesterday just how bad Tesla paint can be. Had my 24 lr awd in the tint shop getting a quote for ppf and ceramic coating and they pointed out many flaws in the paint including spots where somehow had clearly tried buffing and/or wet sanding the paint (and did so poorly). Gonna take a bit of paint correction to fix it all before getting the ppf
How do you find the tesla vision front distance control when parking, compared to ultrasonic sensors on other cars? Especially interested in parallel parking behind a car in front
If your wheel shakes at 70, then your tires need to be balanced. To test, go to 80. If the vibration stops, then it’s definitely the tires needing balanced.
had a 2023 model 3 SR. Bought it at sky high price of 50k and that was before the tax incentives. Luckily, it turned out to be a lemon. Had a mis aligned frunk, they told me they couldn't fix it. Then at 3k miles, i was starting to notice the left front suspension was squeaking while hitting bumps. Mostly noticed it when inside a parking garage with windows down or in alley way. I had them attempt to fix it over several times. Each time they replaced a suspension part, it just kept coming back. So I lemon lawed it. Got my money back. Bought a Model Y Performance for 51k with the tax incentives, state 7500 and federal 7500. Had it for about a year. First service i did to it was at 3k miles. Mobile service came to realign the headlight. Had a huge gap in the headlight. Second service was at 5k miles with the Antenna. Car got stuck on an update and wouldn't update. Now just about a week ago, I took it in to replace a cracked windshield. They told me the car was throwing errors for battery failures at 25k miles. They replaced it with a "Certified remanufactured battery". Now I am definitely going to lemon law it again. Not sure if I am gonna get another Tesla.
Man. That sounds rough. Had my Model 3 since December 2019, and it's been solid till last week. Had to replace the 12V battery. 145000 km's. Some very minor rattles when the radio is off at highway speeds.
I'm glad you made this video! This stuff needs to ne addressed... Should not happen. As I see US market has really bad QC... And service is not that good either. Much better in EU to be honest... No such crap going on so often
The nips on the paint are probably air bubbles, chances are due to rushed production. They shouldn't pose a problem aside from cosmetics. You can check if the lumps reveal the under layers of the paint and do some touch up spots with a clear coat paint, just to prevent rust.
I just picked up a M3LR in Stealth Grey. Overall, I'm super happy with it. However, there are a number of paint and clear coat issues, passenger side dash doesn't line up with the door panel, there is a minor dash rattle (possibly related to misalignment), and the wheels are not aligned (pulls hard right). Tesla is going to address these issues but I have to wait a month. I plan to get the car detailed and ceramic coated along with tinting the windows and roof glass.
There is mention of having to put covers on the rear vents as things could easily drop into those vents and cause rattles. "Highland Air Condition Outlet Protector Rear Seat"
My biggest issue with the car is the panoramic sunroof- I’m 6.3 and it’s like having a heater above your head - can’t stand it - got to get some shades installed from the inside
I have a 2024 M3LRRWD. Had a rattle on my rear driver side panel, paint problem on the rear passenger side, and rear tail light gap. I suggest the weather floormats from Tesmanian.
There will always be issues if you “just stop and accept that there’s issues” Go but a chevy and look for these issues within the first 500 miles.. He’s not complaining.. he’s showing tesla how to improve as they continue to grow as a company.
I noticed that the right scroll button used to activate autopilot/FSD requires you to press a bit hard to activate. Not sure if that was done or purpose or if it’s a defect. Anyone else experience this on their new M3 LR RWD?
2:00 Don't attempt to fix anything close to the door seal if there is no wind noise, as you may end up getting wind noise on the highway after you fix something around there, which is very annoying.
My front license plate is coming off after 1.5 weeks of ownership.. hoping mobile service can do somethint today. They are coming to fix that triangle piece by the driver side mirror its got about a 1/4 inch gap at the top
Appreciate the video brother! I picked up my M3 a 8/30 and love it (pics on my page). I have to agree with you on the paint issues. I have a noticeable one on my driver rear side panel. My trunk is also misaligned. I believe that floppy mirror part might be the similar just. All in all Tesla is fixing everything and I’m really happy about the quality with everything else. I’m looking into PPFs maybe a satin or stealth.
Have you used this in inclement weather like rain? Did it feel like that back was gonna break free or any other issues? I’m trying to decide between a all-wheel-drive and a rear wheel drive.
I took delivery of my M3P 3 weeks ago and noticed the passenger door doesn't sound as sound as the drivers side door when you close it. Similar to yours. Is it easy to get it repaired or does it take a long time?
Could you please do some Performance and 0-60 testing with the new Long Range RWD? Me and my dad are both curious about one and its significantly quicker to 60 than the standard range counterpart, (4.9 seconds to 60 vs 5.8) I believe it has the rear motor from the performance and its hard to find numbers for total horsepower, but i saw one that said around 375hp! That’s the same as a 5.7 liter V8 charger going straight to the rear wheels, it would make it the most powerful rear wheel drive Tesla since the P85 and im really curious how it does in terms of performance driving and handling. Its pretty lightweight for an EV at 3,800 or so pounds so I think this car is really interesting for $36k right now as a little sleeper car that’s pretty luxurious and capable
Great video, thanks. I like the look and feel of the Tuxmat’s. I have used them in all my vehicles the last couple of years and they hold up really well and are easy to clean.
I ordered exact same one as yours and I think it is the best valueI I almost got white exterior but there are too many white cars on the road and I didn’t want to pay extra $1000 for it.
Do you know if they fixed the issue with the ambient lighting and its casing with the new door panels they installed for you? Cause won't the cracked/bubbling strip issue just happen to you again sometime later?
@@TJC450 Imagine making a right turn then immediately making a left turn. After steering the wheel you cant access the turn signals. And yes as of now ive looked into battery fires n that it looks good enough to not worry about it.
@@projectMac03 Yes i recently visited a tesla and sat in the model 3 😁 was epic. What surprised me the most was how much better the signals felt than i expected. Only problem is the signals being unaccessible after steering (making a right turn then immediately a left turn)
The triangle at 2:06 is the same issue I have with my 2018 LR AWD. Since my car is already out of warranty, I just stuck some 3M VHB double-sided adhesive into the gap to bond the loose plastic cover to the underlying rubber.
I never buy the first year of any new redesign for a car brand for this reason. These are build things that usually get iron out as production years on.
I think stuff like this is probably going to be very common with Teslas nowadays cause they don't seem to care about QA and will give everything a pass. I remember watching a video a long time ago of a Tesla employee who did delivery inspections once they received the car to make sure it was good for the customer buying it. They prob don't have any of that anymore and just try giving the car to a customer once it arrives to their location. Also not sure how you plan on doing the referral code pinning but if I get lucky, let me know and I'll make another comment w/ the link that can be pinned!
I’ve got a 2022 Model 3 Performance. I’ve put 76k on it. I’ll never go back to ICE unless I move to the middle of nowhere. If everyone investigated their ICE vehicles as much as they do Tesla’s they’d find just as many problems. It’s only bc of Elon and politics associated with him and EV’s that people dissect them so much.
ive had mine for about 3 weeks with 300 miles and I already have fading on the glossy plastic on the drivers side mirror trim. I was told that it might not be covered under warranty which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Do not recommend getting a Tesla at allllllllll!
Tesla is famous ( or notorious) for shabby quality control. Elmo's focus is not on this company, he is too busy trying to gain more personal power and money for himself.

Good information, I’m picking up mine Friday
We're picking up our LR RWD this Saturday. I plan to carry a check list with us. I'm curious of how much charge is usually in the battery when new.
Mine was 60% I think
Mine was plugged in to a charger at 100% but it was an indoor delivery warehouse.
@@adriangarza5695 What part of the country?
Mine was at 96% on delivery (Savannah, Georgia.)
When did you order? How long did it take?
How does it handle with RWD? Is it fun on the twists? As to the paint quality, that is a known issue with Teslas.
Very fun to drive. A lot more playful than the AWD imo.
@@projectMac03 Thanks ! ;)
@@projectMac03 Did u test drive the AWD if so did u not like it?
@@lilgshock07 I thought it was great, RWD had more range at a cheaper price.
@@projectMac03 very understandable
The better choice is a BMW I4 40💪😃as a Tesla.
TESLA MATS!
Why display shows red car,
congratulations! get new Model 3, do you interested in Model 3 accessories ? we would like to make cooperation with u
Be careful. You start “fixing” things you could open Pandora’s box of issues created by fixing stuff.
Hey,this is Hansshow,a popular brand who make Tesla accessories,do you interested in review our products?
3D maxpider mats.
Floormat: Tesstuff.

ive had mine for about 3 weeks with 300 miles and I already have fading on the glossy plastic on the drivers side mirror trim.
Why is the interior so cheap and shitty looking? Where's the speedometer? 🤔
SPOILER ALERT: Misleading title. Engagement farming detected.
Μεταφραση στα ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like EVs but the Tesla Model 3 has the stupidest door handles and I do like physical knobs so I don't have to deal with the monitor.
