@MattFradd the Assyrian Church of the East, which Sam's family nominally belonged to is the non-Catholic equivalent to the Chaldean Catholic Church. They are Eastern Rite Christians. They make the sign of the cross exactly like Byzantine Catholics and Orthodox Christians, in the Middle East the native Assyrian tongue is a branch of Aramaic the language of Jesus, and they celebrate Liturgy/Mass in the classical Syriac dialect of Aramaic. Like Catholics and Orthodox they have valid Holy Orders, Apostolic succession of bishops, and all 7 Sacraments. They separated from the Catholic Church after the year 381 AD when they rejected the Dogmatic declarations of the Third Ecumenical Council held at Ephesus. Their ancestral homeland is mostly divided between the modern predominantly Muslim and Arab states of Syria and Iraq.

Sam is an apologetics beast. Sam has THE most amazing memory for Scriptures I've ever heard.

Sam was one of the first guys who had me question islam.. a serious journey of questioning everything about islam since 2016. Thanks be to God I got baptised into the very same catholic church (2018) I used to walk into when i was sad, happy or to even just to sit there quietly never knowing I was in the chapel seated infront of the tabernacle for the last 25yrs.. yes it took me that long to understand it was Jesus all along walking with me. Praise be to God.

he actually ended the blood sacrifice of animals and made a mockery of the BAAL worshipers who were killing their offspring. His death burial and resurrection on the 3rd day was to prove His Godhood. Wanna know about islam? Lowest suicide rates among any group of people, modest, follow the book, 22% of total christians practice, 48% of muslims pray 5 times a day let alone practice. Muslim women wear hijab, are modest, are creating the most successful societies today to combat modern degenerate society. What about the christians? Basically dying off. The united states and UK went from christian countries to athiestic, and now actually research shows its shifting towards islamic, solely because of conversions.

Same here, after he made the sign of the cross, I found myself in tears. Couldn't explain why. I was born into a Catholic home and we all left the church and became protestants, which I still am but there's something humbling about making that sign. Kind of says iam nothing but for the cross.

In the process of doing a Christian apologetics series at a Assyrian church, kids really need to understand how to talk about their faith to non believers, thank you both for being great mentors for the future generations. We are all one church in Christ, we may have different traditions but God loves all the houses that worship Him.

we dont worship Mary, we venerate her. The reason you cant tell the difference is that you merely venerate God.

@@lufhopespeacefully2037 But the Trinity is in the Torah, and it is then confirmed in the Gospels. Made in the very likeness of our All Merciful and All Loving God. The Trinity happens to surround everything we do, it's all around us in just about all aspects of our own personal lives. We are only temporary in this world. We are living in the limited dimensions of both Time and Space. Our God exist outside of Time. We all will cease or die at some point in Time. It is our All Loving God who has granted us the Gift of an eternal existence with him, the possibility of an intimate relationship. We are like Gold being purified. We are Loved and all created with absolute purpose yet with the gift of free will. Within the confines of our limited existence we see Time measured by 3 dimensions; Past/Present/Future. Within Space we are limited by a measure of 3 dimensions; Length/Width/Depth.
It doesn't stop there. It is also within our own personal efforts to "Pro-Create" the process of Life itself within the blessed Family concept. One Man who comes together with One Woman to be gifted a child by the Grace of God and the Host of the Holy Spirit.
The first 3 words of the Torah written down in the book of Genesis, "In the Beginning " , the translation in Hebrew is termed the "Bereshit" , is it a coincidence the most unique language known to Mankind happens to be the only language ever spoken that can be interpreted in 3 various ways? No other language does this.
We then reference the Biblical text , the Gospels describe the Christ, "The Word became Flesh", and walked amongst us. The Bible is filled with many examples of what the modern lens often struggles on many concepts such as Baptism, the Consecrated Host, the Body and Blood of our Lord either symbolic or actual transformation. The Trinity is certainly a difficult thing to understand if not by Faith. The best analogy that I can share is the example of Water. Water is the base substance of both Ice and Steam, yet you would not see frozen ice as liquid flowing water, or when you heat up water to a boil and create steam, water can transform into vapors. All three are known to come from one source, water. So you can see the similar characteristics as we see the Trinity; the Father , the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
When you read the first book of Genesis, it clearly speaks to the reader in 3rd person. I don't make any claims that my understandings are absolute, but as I said, it is by Faith that we all come to know Love. Love and Truth are one in the same, synonymous. The Christ said; "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The translation from its original language is clearly saying, I AM God, I AM Love, and I AM the Way, the path to an Eternal Peace.
The Bible has several stories that are spoken in Parables , especially by Jesus , whenever he wanted to get his point across. So just saying , their is a variance from what is termed as a contextual interpretation and from a literal interpretation. As Jesus told the Pharisee's, Destroy this Temple and I will build it in 3 Days! Notice , there is the 3 once again. Lol.

The much older Hindu Vedas had a holy trinity.Called the trimurti, it was Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer, three individual deities that are also a single deity.

I’m Catholic and I’ve always loved the work that both David Wood and Sam Shamoun have done for Christianity. I’ve learned so much from them over the past couple of years. Both great debaters and always give a great account of our faith. I’m full of appreciation, keep up the good work, in Jesus’ name.
rami Well put it this way, my wife is not Catholic but she truly believes that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. She literally heard the Gospel and believed it. She wasn’t born into the faith or brought up in it yet she “believes in the one he has sent”
Granted Catholicism is the original Christian faith but to believe in Christ is to be a Christian.
rami They believe in the Holy Trinity, they believe that Christ died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, don’t know about David but Sam clearly places emphasis in Christ’s Divinity by acknowledging that Mary IS the Mother of God.
So what denomination they are, I don’t know. But what they believe in as Christians is the same as us Catholics.

I was raised by a non practicing Catholic and a raised Baptist turned spiritualist. I went to a non denominational church on and off as a child and on my own in highschool. I am now a 33 year old woman realizing I’ve never actually read/learned the Bible. Im attempting to correct that. Happy to hear your stories of also not always being who you are now. when sam spoke about his heartache about not eating the bread of life it reminded me of my own experience similar to his. I am roman catholic am baptised, did communion and my conformation as a roman catholic. Never really had the faith when i did those thing because i wanted to do it but did it out of respect for my family. Lost my way a lot recently more so when i was dating a woman who i held higher than God may he forgive me for saying that. i was and still am in a situation that i am going thru but thanks be to God i see the light at the end of the tunnel. Glory be to God i have found my way back. it was january 7th and i did not go to sleep that day till 4 in the morning and my mother told she was gonna go to mass at 8 am. i set an alarm and it did not wake me i awoke on God's will thanks be to Him. still struggling to get up and i prayed while i laid in bed and ask God "lord if it is your will give me the strength to go today and hear your word" not even a minute passed by when i prayed that little prayer and like a shot of espresso i woke up with the strength of Samson and was dressed, teeth brush and ready to go. Get in the car with my mom and she loves to hear the reading before she goes to mass to prepare herself for the Word. so it was the first reading we both heard (Is: 60 1-6) and the first lines were "Rise up in splendor oh Jerusalem!" and my ears shot up and my eyes lit up too and hearing these words i felt like God was speaking to me and telling me today is your day you find me. so with this excitement i was ready for listen to God's word and believe again. get to church we listen to the readings and get towards the lamb supper. i can't receive communion because i have been away from the church for almost 2 plus years and haven't confessed. i went to the priest to receive my blessing arms crossed and knelt in front of him and he prayed over me and when i got up i started to weep. got back to my pew and cried even louder and was sad and upset that i couldn't receive the Eucharist. my mother rubbing my back the people around me were probably looking at me as if i was weird probably for crying and once we got to the final prayer my mother told me see if you can ask the father if theres a day i can confess. so i waited for the Father to finish getting out of his wardrobe and with tears still in my eyes i asked him if i can set a day to confess and By the grace of God he said "why not now? do you have time?". I said yes and still tearing up till we got back to his office and i let out a loud cry confessed all the things that were poisoning my soul and was wanting to be right with our lord Jesus Christ all glory be. once i finished confessing, in the back of my mind i was thinking it would be great if he could let me receive the Eucharist before i go home. and after he absolve my sins, without missing a beat he asked me "would you like to receive communion today?" and my heart and soul rejoiced and i cried even more tears after hearing him ask me that question and i said yes! He walked me to the blessed sacrament and with tears in my eyes i knelt in front of the blessed sacrament and the words that still bring me joy as i write this he said to me "the body of Christ" received it and never had i felt the pain for two plus years of not receiving this Bread of Life go away so quickly and i felt like i was on cloud nine like i was in heaven rejoicing being in communion with our heavenly father. my mother was waiting for me outside of church and when i saw her i embraced her and said "finally your son has back home". it's been almost 2 months since that day i can finally say I am a devout Catholic. God has performed a miracle in my soul heart and mind and i have never felt so free to have the will of the father the son and the holy spirit in my being. i am truly blessed and honored that God saved my life with his merciful love and grace. Just wanted to share my experience when i heard Sam speak of his. Thank you Father! i Thank you and I bless you for all these gifts you have given me and continue to give me. i am forever at your mercy and will. Oh Lord keep guiding those who are lost and are seeking you. may this experience of mine that i share to the world give them the strength they need to find you and may they be patient and enjoy their journey to find you. thank you lord in your sons name AMEN!

Even those who are generally indifferent in their practice of the faith, or who misunderstand the faith, do instinctively know that God is working in that moment , and that it is humbling to us all to be in the midst of that. I suspect most are moved to love, not judgement. Welcome home!

You can consult the teachings of the Catholic Church, including prayers that ask for Mary's intercession not just for Catholics but for the whole world. Don't you think Jesus listens to his own mother, who is ever virgin, so prepared because she is the holy vessel of God? What is the first miracle.of.Jesus? It all stated from my first encounter with the voice of GOD coming down from Heaven where I saw the Bible come down down then the cross and finally his praying hands telling me with a voice like thunder that he was leaving bc the world did not love him. I cried and begged for him to take home with him and as I repeated it I was being lifted . I was 10 years old. Many dreams followed and my faith grew. However despite that throughout my life I have gotten off the path but my faith has always been strong! Thank you both! 🙏

I was watching Sam shamoun for years when he was first in Jesus vs Mohammed with David wood.
I absolutely loved Sam and followed his every move. Until on Facebook around 4 years ago Sam went on a long and hateful crusade against the Catholic church. I politely said to Sam i am Catholic and i love Jesus, but understand the mistakes of the Catholic church. I was so upset and let down when Sam continued to tell me i didn't know God and to leave his page. I was almost in tears. I am now watching this video as u haven't seen any content from Sam for years after relentlessly following him.
I've always loved you Sam and now i pray you can see even though the Catholic church can be corrupt there are Catholics who love Jesus Christ with all their heart.

Matt Fradd is the first Catholic I've encountered who clearly loves Jesus like a first century believer who expresses it and grasps having genuinely been spiritually born of God through faith.
I also love how he preaches to mohamedans. I have seen dozens of videos of his with David Wood. However, if he rejects the one, true Church of Christ, as I think he does, he is a heretic. I pray he will convert to catholicism while there is still time. God bless him!

you believe in the religon of devil worship, idk if you know this but the devil worshippers back then used to sacrifice the innocent for the sins of the guilty just like your vampire god loved his son so much that he sent him down to die for man and his son even prayed to his god not to be crucified but the father loved him so much that he rejected him... the only way to be forgiven according to christianity is if you accept blood sacrifice of an inocent man that did not wanted to die...

I’m Ex Jehovahs Witness came to a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour last February and the beautiful trinity doctrine that we were taught to oppose from birth. I like Sam’s attitude of being a Biblicist first and the journey of being lead into all truth, wherever it leads and whatever the cost. True Christian Boldness!

Yeah I was watching him talk and I was like....he is awfully Catholic. Then he mentioned that he looked up certain of the Early Church Fathers...then I thought, "Well of course!" That is what converts many of us. I was converted by the Scripture and then I looked up difficult passages to understand what the Early Church Fathers thought and, next thing you know I am getting baptized.

He needs to withdraw from public ministry until he has repented of his Christ dishonouring behaviour and confronted his demons. He has been called out many times for his behaviour. Some negative comments on here about SS are from people who have witnessed his offensive behaviour.
