Since this is nearby, I'd say it could be she. I've never found a grave though, perhaps the Strange Man may help in this? The place is run by outlaws and it would stand to reason she would go there if it had to do with monies. I'd doubt she would go far, travelling during this era is slow at best, Four days of food is not much for someone to travel far, so I believe she is nearby, this location is very close and wouldn't take her long to travel. Since people, of that time, erred on the side of giving some room for a delay, it means she expected to be gone no more than 2 or 3 days. Since we must assume she was giving for going and returning that doesn't give many areas nor distance she could have travelled. She had to be in that area...Chez Porter would make sense for her to search for those men. I believe she found them... and they say above what happened.

The saddest part is that in the game files there's something that says "talk the kids to leave the cabin" and "take the kids to Valentine" where their death could have been prevented. It was scrapped but no one knows why.

If you come back to Lenora view a few days later after finding Jim dead, they'll be a new letter in the doorstep. It's from Mildred, Jim's wife, telling him that if he wasn't sure about marrying her, he should have told her sooner because now she is heartbroken and waiting in her mother's house with everything packed, wondering why he's not coming to pick her up.
I felt so sad for them, so I've been looking for Mildred. I don't know if you have a video on this, but here it is what I found:
- There's a woman you can find whose horse collapsed. She's stuck under the horse and you can help her. She mentions Mildred, saying something like "What will I tell my friend Mildred?". Mildred's friend lives in Valentine, but I don't think Mildred lives there, though.
- In one of the missions of "The Artist's Way", with Charles Chateney, you go to an art gallery. There's a scandal and when everybody is leaving, an older woman tells a younger one something like "Mildred, this is not a place for us!" and they go. Does she lives in Saint Denis? I don't know. You can't really really because it's hard to see her face since she's wearing a hat, but I think she looks similar to the bride in the picture.
That's it. I hope I can find Mildred some day.

Honestly, I find Bayall Edge to be the creepiest. It’s all alone in that swamp with the Night Folk. And all the creepy references to Armadillo, your honour and the fate of the Van der Linde Gang. Not to mention that painting and the mirror.

Rising Phoenix I did that. I never knew why it says that but I always thought that the Strange Man was a supernatural entity. The angel of death sent by God to account for John Marston or even God himself. I’m sure that Blind Man Cassidy even alludes to this. But it is an interesting description by Rockstar.
I am The Senate I viewed him as the Grim Reaper of the RDR universe. And technically speaking the Grim Reaper is a serial killer. He’s chooses who lives and dies and when they die, and since he collects souls and the strange man calls himself an accountant he always fit the description of the Grim Reaper to me. I know people theorize that he’s the Devil of RDR, but that never made sense to me because why would the Devil give John the chance to redeem himself in RDR1 with all his side missions?
Elijah is one of the small stories that really stuck with me. Poor kid just wanted to go to school, but he died in shackles in the mud just weeks away from freedom. I guess it’s so poignant because there were countless real Elijahs throughout history.
Clawson’s Rest isn’t creepy , it’s just sad , those kids saw their mom for the last time without even realizing it

@@GrayGaming-uv9md I saw somewhere, can't remember exactly where, but there's dialogue at Chez Porter where they talk about a woman that they kept tied up in the woods and their Pa made them bury her. Considering these two locations aren't far from each other, plus they tended to rob people (hence the treasure in their barn) and she was going off to get back the money that someone had stolen from her and her children, so there's a decent chance that was her.

When I found the meteor house I thought there was going to be more meteors so I ran. Then I realized and I went back to the house to light it on fire but my cocktail hit the fence and caught me on fire and I died and fell off the cliff

Luckily I missed that jump scare. I actually came across it while riding a wagon in a mission, I was just driving by and a bear came running out of the cabin and went into the woods. I was more confused than scared lol.

I remember my horse was scared and couldn't really get close to the cabin. When I saw the bear I was like ahhh now I get
I saw the cabin and I went to the back door to go in. Bear came right out and my horse threw me off and was laughing at me while the bear was eating me. I never got the jump scare until my second play though.
The fact that the details from each one of these cabins alone strikes emotions in us, even though they are not even meant for the main story or side quest really, just goes to show how detail this game truly is.
Just wanted to add, Meteor House, almost shat myself when I walked in the shack to scattered body parts.

One of my big fears living alone having a pet, is how if I go out and end up dying by accident, then my pet would be locked in and starve to death :'(

This reminds me of that time I found a cabin with two dead prisoners behind it.
It’s the cabin near Shady Belle, and there’s a random encounter where you save someone’s wife from there. I did the encounter and about 3 or 4 in game days later I came back to see a few dead prisoners.
That was at a place called Crawdad Willies...after you get the stranger mission from the man asking you to help his wife, if you go back a few days later and walk through the house/cabin, there will be a dead body laying there and if you walk outside by the back, there in fact are two prisoners there...I just completed this one and you can actually find one of the prisoners alive and he'll ask you for help as well as explain to you what happened to him and the other prisoner. IF you help him, he will tell you about a gold bar that's hidden under some rocks not far from Rhodes Train Station.
These little things that rockstar put in there games really make me respect them as developers. This is why there games are worth the wait

Say its 1920 and a earth dam went out you can watch the town flood and the people screaming for help as you watch from a roof as people who can't get to a roof drown.

The old Harry fen one is a secret bounty that you can do there’s some pieces of paper you can pick up on a desk in the house and when you open them just wait a little and a bounty will appear at Rhodes sheriff office

Clapped YT I don’t think there are any more Easter eggs towards slavery, basically you go back to the cabin and you need to fight a guy who’s protecting the bounty, you knock him out then go after the bounty who is hiding and tries to kill you with molotovs, easiest and quickest way to complete is on horseback, I think the bounty is $70

This game is just amazing. It’s gonna take a long time for another to reach this level. The years and care it took to be done are perfectly represented in this video. They created a truly organic tangible universe, where the gamer isn’t truly in control, stuff happens besides what you do, it’s just too great.
For real. I just started playing a month ago and tried to switch to another game but nothing measures up to this game. So I just start be play throughs or mess around on old ones and I'm still finding new shit. It's unreal.

Just yesterday online I found a cave I've never seen before. Me and my buddy had a good ol time exploring. I think every time I play it strikes me how incredible RDR2 is. I just wish Rockstar felt the same way.

When I came across Number 3, it freaked me out so much and made me sad. I just stood there as Arthur for a good 5 minutes just feeling awful for that family.
It's also scary because while there's a very small chance people still use furnaces now, pipes containing methane or carbon monoxide can still break. It's just the 1890 equivalent of that

I remember walking around at night exploring, going to all the different cabins on the map I hadn't been to yet. I happened upon Osman's Grove, and while I wasn't immediately freaked out the creepiness weighed down on me. Even though everyone was dead, there was such a semblance of life here, and I think that's what made it feel so creepy. You're alone, but you sure as hell don't feel alone.
I can’t be the only one who loves the environmental storytelling in this game, the sheer detail is unmatched still to this day

I found the scorned love murder cabin very early on in my first play though. Shocking but I was excited by the level of detail in the entire game
The last one is more sad than creepy, it’s really depressing thinking about 2 children slowly starving to death and realizing the fact their mom isn’t coming back
This content is honestly brilliant! I agree #1 is probably the creepiest to think on and the detailed backstory behind each cabin only adds to it.
There's another cabin up in the Grizzlies, on the same latitude as the giant's cave, the Witches Cauldron, and The Loft. Two men killed each other in a shootout by a small brick shack, I think there were some gold nuggets in a lockbox there along with express ammo.
The sound effects and the music give me the chills

I think the creepiest is the underground "photography" studio west of Valentine. (If it's part of the main story, I maxed everything out before even completing chapter 2, and barely made a dent in chapter 3 before going on-the-line).

Everytime I entered into a spooky cabin I always think I'm about to get ambushed by some deranged killer.
The soundtracks to these videos are the same as those paranormal stories
Yeah that one with the two kids was pretty rough. And you have to think back in the frontier days, that scenario is very easy to see happening.
There is actually a good explanation as to why the mother never came back. Down the road or trail, whatever you want to call it, you can find a farm with a large family residing in it. It’s Chez Porter, you can rob the family living here either by yourself or with Javier. But traveling to Chez Porter will trigger some unique dialogues. One being that some of the boys were talking about a woman they found and robbed her, and one claims that “Pappy be boiling about her, the way she guggle at ya now.” and the other responding “Digs her up and ask.” This conversation was abruptly ended by “Pappy” rushing out of the barn and firing a shot in the air and telling them to get back to work. I have a feeling that they buried her alive someplace and left her die obviously. Leaving the two boys to starve and their mother dying in the process. Written By airchancellor -_-

The weird thing about lenora view was when ever I wandered by the place in story mode and and online there was always a small dead bird on the porch. Every time. Also on a unrelated note in online only.( I’ve never heard it in story mode) sometimes when ever I commit a dishonorable killing on a lone npc in a secluded area I hear howling in the distance. I heard it for the first time during October and assumed it was purposely designed as a Halloween thing but the last time I heard it was a few weeks ago.

Has anyone figured out what the colours on each of the skull masks represent? They are all different and have a symbol on them so they must mean something
Yeah, I'm also strugling with this one. If I'm not mistaken, the colors are green, Black and orange right? I think I actually found that those three colors are repeated on more places, but I unfortunately can't remember where. I would love to hear something about it.

I guess it was the locations, the cat skull has green cause it is found in a swamp, the ram skull has orange cause it is found in new Austin, and the pagan ritual mask has black either because of the dark environment or the ritual itself.
Maybe they have somthing to do with each color on the sundial?
My favorite "creepy" cabin I guess you could say is the one were there's two kids waiting for their mom to come home and she never did. It's more sad I guess the poor kids were hoping to see her again even though she's probably dead

Hey this reminds me of something I’ve found in various cabins, when I loot the inside of these cabins I can often find messages in the drawers that seem kinda like it knows what I’m doing by taking the stuff in them. I found two in Roanoke I don’t remember the names though

There's one like that in the shack where the you save trelawny from the bounty hunters

I think what gets me with many of the cabins you can explore, especially the one by the river that has a comic book for Jack.. Is that many of these places have the 'lights' on, yet no one is home. Makes you wonder if someone was watching you (kind of wish there was as a scare if nothing else). I think more killers or lunatics like the serial killer should've been around, or more cannibals/ritualists etc. Still an amazing game.
The meteor house is pretty freaky. Imagine just enjoying a meal with the people you're living with, then getting crushed by a giant flaming rock. Can only wonder what it might have been like for any friends of the owners stopping by for a visit.
Thing is they didnt even know it was a rock. Because they got absolutely obliterated the moment it hit the house.

The clawson's one is actually worse than you think because the mother didn't simply go away she left specifically to confront some Bandits who robbed them sometime earlier and it's suggested that they killed her
All of the countless hours I’ve put into RDR2, and the first cabin, I’ve never known about, I for real have to explore more up in the mountains, it’s beautiful up there.
If I came across that bear one without having seen this, I'd have an instant heart attack.
Also, the thing that's creepiest about most of these are how sad they are and what it says about how evil humans can be. And the creepiness just hits differently when it's bodies that have been there for years and you've likely passed by them hundreds of times.
Please explain the mad preacher found at bodies of water throughout the game.
Not that I know anything but he says that he never sleeps and he says that someone hasn't sent him the message.

TomNeal05 I’ve seen him around. He’s angry at God for not “sending him any more messages” and he thinks that he’s some sort of messenger for God. (we know this because he says Him, which I think is capitalized in the subtitle dialogue, which is used to mean God). so not very special, but interesting
@@christopherguglielmana132 I didn't know he shows up near different bodies of water in the game, I frequently remember seeing him along the Dakota River north of Valentine and seen him somewhere else (can't remember exactly) and never thought anything of it

I’ve just about completed my second playthrough of the game and found the letter at Lenora View and the wagon crash as Arthur. But upon revisiting the cabin as John, I discovered a letter left on the doorstep from Mildred saying how she felt that James had stood her up and ran away before their wedding. That follow-up note actually made me feel pretty sad that she never found out exactly what happened.

For the Vetter's echo cabin, if you explore the mountain nearby, you can find a bloody campsite. I think that was the artist's camp and the bear chased him home.
You should look at a cool Red Harlow thing. In the Saint Denis polic station and look in the top left on the criminal posters, it sort of looks like him.

Awesome video! I was roaming the world for a while, visiting every cabin, house and shack I came across. After seeing some of the things you covered in this video i had to stop playing for a while because the thought of what horrible sight might be on the other side of a cabin door was just too depressing.
