Ohhhh, is that what happened there? I haven't played this yet (but really want to now after watching some videos on the game) so I had no clue what the hell that thing that knocked him over in the bushes was. Lol.
The spookiest Night Folk encounter was when they ambushed me in the night, scaring my horse away. When I tried calling her back, she wouldn't respond, forcing me to go to her and find out the night folk were holding her hostage and waiting for me to kill me, but obviously, they'd failed. Still, I found it the creepiest as that was the first it ever happened to me in all my playthroughs.
i struggled to trigger their encounters, and then i did and even completed the mission involving night folk, and now i dont ever see them even if i try it seems they will never spawn again as they are literally encounters
whoever did Arthur's sketches is hella talented. Each and every one of them, and there are thousands of sketches, including the map doodles, have so much character. I love Arthur's drawing of Penelope's sister. A normal person would see a deformed monster, Arthur sees a lonely and sad woman. When John said to Charles "I have become kind the draftsman myself" I snickered "yeah right" out loud.

Officially my SCARIEST Night Folk encounter. There's a Legendary Bounty Mission on RDO, the target I think is Phillip Carlier or something like that. The story is after committing his crime he went underground in Bayou Nwa for years, and living life away from society has done a toll on his mind. What's scary is this fucker not only drugs you before trying to kill you when the mission starts, but when you survive that ordeal you're literally left in the middle of the swamp with absolutely no clue as to where to go. Meanwhile the target has gone into complete hiding. And to make matters worse, he has terribly ill-natured alligators protecting him, and they'll immediately target you if you're simply in the same vicinity. But that's just the icing on the cake; this bounty mission is the only known time in RDO where you legitimately encounter Night Folk. Their lack of vocal communication makes them the perfect ambush predators. As I'm patrolling the Bayou for the bounty target, it's too deathly silent. I'm watching for incoming gators and human silhouettes in the trees. But for long minutes nothing happens. And that's when I heard it. The faintest sound of a knife being pulled out of its sheath. Had it been just a mite fainter, I wouldn't have heard it, and it would've been instant death. But it was just loud enough to hear, and I did the quickest 180° spin before maiming the fucker with a tomahawk. I've decided I'm making all the noise at that point, because that's when all of the shadows in the trees started moving. All hell had broken loose at that one moment.
@@maazuponvelocity There’s something TERRIBLY wrong with these Night Folk! They’re not like the Skinners and Murfrees where they’re just raving mad savages or sadistic cannibals. You sure know how to tell a story. First time playing RDR2 for me, and just encountered my first night folks twice in a row. First was the infamous hanged man ambush, second was a woman seemingly wailing, knelt on the bayou's muddy floor. Asked her twice if she was doing ok or needed help, then she started hissing like a snake and several red dots appeared from nowhere on my map. Never before had I run as fast as I did that time hahaha!
dishonorable mentions...to the serial killer, the murfree brood, and the skinners. for some of the most gruesome scenes i have ever seen in a video game.
Got chased by two nightfolk dudes one time; thing is they didn't appear on my map as red dots. So I thought I lost them after a while and got off my horse to pick something up and they were actually still after me. That scared the crap outta me
The creepiest encounter for me yet is when i was once going through nightfolk territory (i was also carrying the body of the saint denis vampire on horseback for some reason lol)and there was a wagon with a beheaded man in it, my horse got spooked and threw me and the vampire over and i had to fight the nightfolk. When i called my horse back and tried searching the area for the vampire body, it wasnt there anymore 💀.
I'm a little disappointed that the serial killer Edmund Lowery Jr. wasn't included in this video as he's definitely another creepy aspect to the game, but overall I'm happy that you revisited all the other spooky easter eggs and points of interest from RDR2 again for the Halloween season! 🎃
Not sure if this is something done on purpose, but the name "Edmund Lowery" is very similar to Eddie Low when shortened, the name of another serial killer in GTA IV. Crazy coincidence.
I hogtied the vampire and waited for the sun to come up, nothing happened. So he's just a serial killer, not a vampire. But what was interesting is that I did this on the riverbed near some crocodiles, and they were afraid of him. They approached him to eat him, but then were spooked away for some reason. So something is definitely up with him. Anyways I put him out of his misery eventually and took the knife.
Not necessarily. In the Dracula novel and movie the sun does no damage to vampires. It only weakens their power. The change in the lore for that came about due to the 1922 Nosferatu movie when they needed a way to kill the vampire in that movie and improvised the sunlight solution.
Or hear me out everyone… it’s almost like it’s not an actual vampire and just a dude portraying one during such time period😮 crazyyyy… especially given he dropped in one headshot. Almost like it’s a random encounter to experience beliefs, or tales of that time in a somewhat “realistic” way

Gertrude Braithwaite is not the victim of a demon’s curse. She was either born mentally ill and physically deformed (because of in-breeding), or a tragic illness made her that way. Maybe she drank contaminated water while on a visit to see friends in the neighborhood of Butcher’s Creek. And the stuff was so toxic that it not only ruined that whole community, but it ruined Gertrude’s life and changed her personality, which some illnesses can do. None of the Braithwaite’s besides Penelope ever even talked about Gertrude, and from the way Penelope treated Gertrude, I’d say she’s not a reliable source of information, biased at best. I think Gertrude was a victim , not only individually of her unsympathetic family, but also one of many victims of corporate greed and the careless mishandling of toxic chemicals that weren’t properly disposed of, but dumped in a nearby community’s water source, with tragic consequences.

Still ingrained in me the first time discovering the Braithwaite girl unintentionally. Giving me the best jump scare of my life.
9:01 I love how the ghost was right in front of John and he had absolutely no reaction 🤣
3:40 was not expecting 🤣 ,LMAO
Arthur yelling “creepy bastards” after killing the night folk sends shivers down my spine bc of his voice crack out of fear.
6:26 This is straight out of horror movie 😭 If I passed by this area and didn't know about this easter egg, I would've definitely freaked out
Another excellent video Mr. Strange! In my opinion Manmade mutant there would be something deeper, to investigate and interact, but in the end the rockstar ended up discarding 🤔
3:40 Strange man: "stupid goat! you make me look bad!"
OOOGA BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA
i remember the first time discovering the pentagram i immediately got gooosebumps and felt paranoid like if something was watching me lmao
The beauty and power this games has!
That you feel real and true paranoia in your real life just by seeing something supernatural and evil.
Love the ghost train, it's like the ghost train from Ghostbusters II.
Another great video! Are you going to do something special for Halloween this year? I remember last year the awesome little short film you made at Shady Belle with John and Arthur. Oh and the goat smack and music pause had me laughing, thanks for the lighthearted treat. 😉
Even though I’ve seen a lot of these cool secrets, I enjoy watching your videos so much. From beginning to end, you make everything so fascinating! Keep up the phenomenal work 👏🥰
J'adore tes montages ça donne encore une autre dimension à cet incroyable jeu dont je ne me lasse pas, j attends assidument tes publications bravo Strange Man🤘🙏
how in the world have I not run into any of this after putting 130 hours into the game ? amazing
Those are rookie numbers!!!
6:10 the creepiest place in the entire game at night for me
Those are better than actual horror games
KIFFLOM BROTHER BROTHER!😂 also, I've been thru bucher creek a few times, and every time, I feel like I'm going to be attacked. The people in that small settlement look like inbreads and cannibals.
My brother showed me this game over the Thanksgiving break and it stuck with me. I finally bought it last month and I am emotionally invested in this game, lol. I have 2 jobs and 2 kids, so I can only play on the weekends. My sister came and watched the me play and said the game gets my blood pressure up, lol. It's so detailed and awesome. I'm only 46% in, but after I'm all done with rdr2, I gotta play the first one 🤷🏽♀️
The Pentagramm under the House in Butcher Creek is directly under the big R on the map. Maybe it's just the Rockstar Logo with the star.
True
Don't know if you know but you dynamite it and the glow will disappear, if you stand outside butcher creek you can see a red glow in a window behind the deformed man that plays the banjo.
Ol’ Lucifer himself decided to troll you for snoopin around his creek
Love how most of these are in the swamp areas
Excellent video bud, like always
Man your cinematography is fantastic. How do you do it?
My first encounter with the Night Folk was in the pitch black after going to investigate someone hanging from a tree, turned round and just saw these people with white faces slowly walking towards me. I actually thought it was some sort of Easter egg and they weren’t human, I basically panic dead eyed them
Lmao the sanest decision possible
Pretty much the same but since i had already heard of night folk i wasnt all that scared and just dead eyed them
Braithwaite secret : someone uploaded a video were if you take the woman there before her trip she says she will help her once she gets to New York. I wonder if you go back there with John she is not a skeleton.
Just saw all the horror videos man you made them so cinematic i wish this game was non stop with horror creepy scenes. This legit could be a movie or mini series👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
3:37 this made me laugh harder than it should have
Awesome video, you covered all of them, the only one i missed was the serial killer
This game never fails to entertain, it will always make you want to go back and play it all over again.
Best RDR2 content channel
This just tells me that I reaaaaaly need to explore the game more. I am sticking way to close to missions. Had no idea there where so many cool Easter-eggs like these to find! Awesome!
honestly the music mixed with the scene from the ghost of Agnes Dowd has me weeping.
Here’s hoping you bring us something special on 31 October 🎃👻
I'm starting to think that the human bones in butchers creek are sacrifices and that's where the town hides the body's
The outhouse girl isn’t possessed, just mentally ill.
Exactly right
I thought so too. A lot of mental illness back then is so quick to chalk up a demonic possession.
Same thing.
John getting knocked over by a goat lol I love that you kept that in.
So somehow arthur is a good man but a nightmare for all this ghosts😂
New upload? Sensational.
The worst night folk encounter is when your horse is spooked by a crow feeding on the carcass of a mutilated horse, bucks you, runs off AND WONT COME BACK BECAUSE A NIGHT FOLK IS PETTING IT while his mates come in and stab you up
I remember one of my first times playing this game I came across the voices in butcher creek. I had my headphone on, it was the middle of the night, and it absolutely scared the shit out of me!
Dude, i love the way your Videos made. I mean super interesting, tense but altough funny. The Scene with the Goat or with Gavin in your Braithwait Video and also the Story Ending with the Emerald Range Secret.
And its very nice that ur newest Videos have a Voice over. 10/10 Nice Job. (Im non Native English speaker, sorry)
The whole of rdr2 scares me 💀 the music, the forest, random little houses, literally scares the shit out of me
I really love your videos, and look forward to them. Thank you so much for the hard work that you put into them, your work is simply amazing!!!
John getting headbutted by the goat while peeking sent me LOL XD
This game never stop to amaze me, its so big in every way
I avoid the Lakay area at all costs at night 😂 I hate the Night folks ambushes, if I see something suspicious I nope right out of there 😂 dunno how many heart attacks I've had 😅
I respect the consistency
10:42 hold on now 😂
Based
It's so Scary even the Horse kinda gets uneasy when Approaching such a Creature
Voice actor of agnes ghost did a perfect job . You can feel the pain and sorrow in her voice
Kifflom Pumpkin, Jack o' Lantern!
Two Uploads in 6 days... Legendary Strange Man
8:27 I saw that train in the game and I thought it was just John remembering the train heist!
The best part of the video was the goat! 😅😂🤣
I think I needed the goat to be at the end. Now I’ll have the night folk dancing through my dreams 😂
That was a ghost when I played the mission I thought it was a random old lady
I keep hearing dowd When I Go Looking For Aligators Or To Mess with the night folk
there was a cabbin somewhere near Valentine I think which has beds with dead people innit but if you comeback after a while you don't find the remaining of the corpses
I think that is the one where there are two dead little kids because the Mom left to go do something and locked them inside. There’s a note in the cabin saying what her plans were
I just found this. Between the Loft and Meteor House there is a skeletal remains embedded in a rock. It may just be me, but the remains looked like a giant as well. Like the one over by Mount Shann…
I Call butcher creek cannibal creek because of the people there...
