    • @charwest9449
      @charwest9449 5 лет назад +5

      He is a tool. He's a sycophantic Yoko hack. He kissed up to her the whole time he was writing his book on John Lennon, The Life, uncritically printing every LIE she told him about how she didn't know who John was but when she met him HE fell instantly in love with her, and how he chased her, and was always the one pursuing her even in their marriage and through his affair with May Pang! He makes May Pang look like John's secretary. BUT this Philip Norman got a shocker at the end, because, after he dutifully printed every word Yoko suggested, she didn't even endorse his book, because he hadn't kissed her ass ENOUGH.

      I am honestly disgusted the way he spoke about Ringo, especially since this was a time Ringo was struggling with alcohol abuse and was not in a great place mentally. The way he just wrote him off as if he didn't matter was just awful. And I am 100% certain George would have never let what he said fly if he had heard what that man said.

    Philip Norman is correct about McCartney, though ("he re-writes history, all the time"). Check any interview or concert program after John Lennon's assassination, including the July 6 Esquire's "Paul McCartney Opens up about Lennon, Yoko, More," where I quoted Norman. McCartney has an obsessive, unhealthy need to get John Lennon's name off the copyright of "Yesterday," yet ignores how his own name is on about half The Beatles' songs written by John Lennon alone, especially from 1963-66. McCartney's comments have ranged from the more-hip-than-them "see, um, like I was the actual weird one all along, really" type to claiming more credit on songs, such as "Eleanor Rigby." Biographers and others have long since revealed in that particular case that Paul came with part of one verse and part of the melody. John wrote at least half the lyrics (he said 60%). George Harrison wrote "three lines," as he says in the above interview, including the chilling "Ah, look at all the lonely people, where do they all come from." Ringo contributed the piece about "darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there." Even John's lifetime friend Pete Shotton contributed. At concerts or in interviews, no one will hear about this, will they.

    • @charwest9449
      @charwest9449 5 лет назад +2

      Philip Norman rewrites history. And he wasn't even THERE. Got most of his "information" from Yoko. He wrote a book on John Lennon YEARS after he died, relying on HER stories alone. She never liked Paul, was always jealous of him. Ironically, Yoko ended up not endorsing his book because even though he dutifully printed every word she told him, he had the audacity to also get some other interviews, and she felt he wasn't very nice to John. Philip Norman is a Yoko hack.
