    Glad this gun getting some attention ,its an absolute gem for the price . I bought the PDP PRO SD 4.5" and I love her ,it came out of the box ready to go and with a nice trigger, it is not a small pistol at all but I'd definitely carry it if I didn't live in brown bear country as this would just pee the animals off. So ya haven't had any issue at all mind you only had a bucket o bullet through her 250 rounds roughly so all good. Just wish came in different calibers...10mm would be an amazing offering ,

    Great video? I just bought the PDP 2.0 after carrying the PPQ , since it came out around 2011. There is also a guide rod option that is supposed to be excellent , it’s by ZR Tactical Solutions , it’s supposed to dramatically enhance the shooting quality of the PDP. Thanks for the excellent video. I build ar15’s but wasn’t sure about doing the trigger on my PDP, but with your video I have the total confidence that I can do it myself. To me, Walthers are the best pistols on the planet. I’ve never had a single ftf with my PPQ, highly accurate and best triggers out there, imo.

    Still too big for a true EDC, in my opinion. I love my PDP, it has one of the best striker fired triggers on the market. I wish Walther would put out a true PDP micro compact to compete with the P365, Hellcat, etc. Give us a PDP with a 3.3-3.5" barrel, 15 round capacity, width of only 1", and that same great trigger.

I'm looking at buying this gun for a green dot Holosun 508. I've had red dots on an M&P M2.0 9mm and a 10mm but I didn't care for either. The co-witness sights were a big distraction for me. I like standard height or none at all. From everything I'm hearing these guns have great triggers as is. If so I see no need to change. I know that some are trigger snobs but a polymer striker isn't a 1911. There is nothing like a 1911 with a great trigger.

The round will be pinched on the bottom of the feed ramp and bottom of the breach wall. I tried changing to a new oem guide rod and even a sprinco guide rod, no luck..... And it's not a magazine issue either, I'm able to get all 8 of my mags to inflict the issue. I take immaculate care of my pdp and treat it like my child so it kills me to not know what's causing the issue.... Different makes also have different attributes. They have have different costs to consider. Walther and Springfield each build their guns in different ways. If your plan was followed guns would be nearly the same and too expensive to sell.

    I've fired a full size 4.5 (I think) at my local range and liked it's size and accuracy. Do you think it practical at all to carry IWB with a full size 4.5 or even a 5 or would it be too much of a pain and I should just go with one of the compact models?

    • @VanceOutdoors
      @VanceOutdoors  2 года назад +2

      It's all personal preference, body size/shape, and how you carry it. Some have no issues hiding a full-size gun, and others cannot, even if they wanted to! A carry gun is a tool. Not necessarily meant to be your range gun, but something practical to carry all the time. If that is a full-size gun, it's a full-size gun. But you want something you don't ever worry about concealing, meaning size-wise. If you worry about it, you will find more reasons to leave it at home on the dresser, or in the safe, VS on your person. Coming from a 5' 8" 160 LB guy who carries that exact gun in the video appendix, with extra mag daily!

      @@VanceOutdoors And does the difference in grip between the compact model and the full size matter aside from capacity? I carry a CCP and it fits my hand well but I'm not very satisfied with it when I take it to the range. And when I fire the PDP full size, there's half an inch or so of empty space below my hands on the grip, but I like the feel and accuracy seems just fine.

      I'm 6'3", 215ibs and carry the 4.5" full size pdp iwb with no issues. I wouldn't carry anything bigger though. The glock 19 "and other similar sizes is right at that perfect size mark for me.

    Walther is awesome till slide lock spring retention tab sheers off then it's a safety hazard waste of money because no where can you get the replacement parts and Walther doesn't respond to any communication. Making that tab out of plastic is the biggest design flaw in the industry.
