It worked, helped alot and saved my time. Just remember if you don’t have cmos battery in the laptop then don’t worry, just press and hold the power button for 2 minutes. It will reset the bios. Then plug in the battery and charger. It will turn on.
My experience- I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 3567... Replaced the HDD with SSD nd put the HDD in caddy... I saw ur video gave it a try nd at first I failed... Then I did the same thing this time left the CMOS battery out for a bit longer nd also pressed the power button for 1min after putting CMOS battery nd before putting laptop power .. nd then it started working... Issue resolved after I removed one of the rams, opened the device and it seemed to be working normally, and then I shut it down. Then I changed the place of the ram that was already in the device and added the other one (all of that shall be done when the battery is unplugged of course) then I opened the device and it worked. Thanks Man!!!

This saved my laptop today. Dell Inspiron user here. I had similar issue 2 amber LED and 5 white LED BLINKing . Fan noise was there but screen was black. Followed the instructions in this video: 1. Drain off static (remove adapter and battery) press power button for 30 seconds 2. Now remove back cover , dvd drive, keyboard panel & unscrew everything 3. Remove the RAM and clean it. Place it in new DIMM slot 4. Remove the CMOS battery. Let it rest for some time (some people say 1 hr and I’m not sure what is suggested in this video) I rested it for 10 mins before putting it back on 5. Finally fit back in everything. Put the battery back on and power it up VOILA! My dead dell came alive! Thanks to this channel as it saved me $. From next time please consider adding more captions (not that I don’t understand but makes it more easier to understanding) Again good luck and thanks again brother !!

AHHHHHHHH fixed!!!! FINALLY FIXED IT!!!YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYYYYY. Okay so i had tried multiple times before it hadn't worked. I tried it today it worked!! Here's what i did: 1. I removed the battery this time. I hadnt removed it before bc i had an internal battery and i couldn't pull mine out like the tutorials i saw. (If uou have latitude 7390, or if you have a tag type of thing on the plug of your battery just pull it upwards itll come right off. Dont go to pull it sideways.) 2. I kept the CMOS, RAM and the the smaller card that looks like RAM outside for a long time (30 mins approx) 3. I made sure to clean everything thoroughly, blew with a lot of pressure too. Yeah that was it. I hope this helps somebody! And thank you so much sir for helping us through RUclips

However that didn't immediately resolve the issue: my laptop still wouldn't boot up. So after that I took out one of the RAM memory modules. At this point the laptop booted up fine. Lastly I put back the RAM memory I'd taken out previously and ever since everything's been working perfectly. Maybe my old CMOS battery had run out of charge and that's what was causing the issue? According to Dell the CMOS batteries in their laptops should be replaced every 2-3 years.
Turns out I was wrong. It wasn't a hardware issue at all: there was nothing wrong with my CMOS battery or RAM memory sticks. The problem was with my operating system: I had made some changes to how hibernation works that prevented it from returning from hibernation. Anyway now I've reinstalled my operating system and now everything seems to work smoothly again. Fingers crossed it stays that way...

However this time I decided to first figure out why the LED light on my laptop was flashing like that. After a little bit of Googling I found an article on Dell's support website called "A reference guide to the Vostro Notebook Diagnostic Indicators" (article number 000141346). In it there's a section called "Diagnostic LED Indicators" which describes what the various blinking patterns of the LED light means. In my case there was 2 amber (orange) and 7 white blinks followed by a pause. According to the article that means "LCD failure" and the suggested resolution is described as "Step 1: Flash BIOS to latest revision. Step 2: Contact Tech Support for further troubleshooting". I downloaded and installed the latest firmware, which infact had been realeased that very same day and ever since then my computer's been working like normal again. And I never did contact Dell support about it. I also opened up my laptop to inspect the display cable running from the motherboard to the LCD but could find nothing wrong with it (which isn't surprising since my display has always worked flawlessly and still does). So at this point I'm pretty much assuming there was a bug in the firmware. The funny thing is though that I started having this problems about 2 months ago but last time I updated my firmware was 3 moths before that. Oh well, the important thing is the damn thing works again! 😀

Hlo sir actually my laptop is Dell Inspiron 15 3000 i5 and it's keyboard is attached , so it only opens backside , sir my yellow light is blinking 3 times and white light 1 time and I am unable to find CMOS battery in it can u pls help me to locate .
