I love the last tip! I'm a Queens native and I love being able to step away from busy Manhattan :). NYC is very expensive so good luck to everyone out there trying to move here!
Yes, PLEASE make a video on how to make friends in nyc or in a big city in general. I’m moving to nyc in less than a week and am a little nervous about making new friends. Your content has been very helpful and comforting. Thank you! 🤍
In my experience, in building laundry is often poorly maintained, also fellow tenants either dont pick up fast enough or they dump your clothes on the floor if you arent down exactly on time. Many laundromats offer drop service where they eash and fold your laundry. It isnt cheap but if you are saving money on rent in a no laundry building, it may be worth considering. It was the first "luxury" I added once I could afford it.
@@mohuyakhan so, I'm looking to move to NYC this spring. I'll be going to school at QCC but I was unsure if I wanted to live in Queens (im pretty unfamiliar with the layout of nyc btw) but since you mentioned you live in Queens i was wondering if there's a nice more "city"-life (nothing crazy, just fun things to do) there in queens. I was looking in manhattan obv but its for suuuure out of my budget unless i get really lucky somehow so i've begun to look at brooklyn. but queens would of course would be closer to my school but i still wanna experience that "city living" you know? anyways thanks for reading this ramble, idk if you can help...:) thanks!!
Thank you so much for making this video. I been in the process of looking for my dream job in New York City. I am born and raised here and rent is so expensive. You made my plan easier for the future thanks a lot
Omg thank you! This video was so informative and helpful, definitely writing all these tips and tricks down 🥰 I'm making my way into highschool and want to be as prepared as possible for moving into a big city after college. I look to study in France during college, and from there move onto working and living in NYC! Not quite sure what job I would like to have, but something business or fashion related would probably be my in the categories of my "dream job".
Def need a video on how to make friends in nyc. I move from Texas and have zero connections there. When i interned in the summer, i had to do a lot of things by myself
omg Hi I’m moving from texas next week! And crazy coincidence but my name is A Chisolm too😭 just spelled a little different sooo maybe we can be friends once i get there :)
I move there in August for my corporate job post grad school. Luckily i have no student loans or debt in general. Unfortunately, i also have no credit history. No clue what to do about that. Plus i want to move in before i start working. So i can't provide paystubs. Ugh it's mess alright
I know it’s a bit out of pocket for me to ask, but due to household circumstances I’m planning a move to NYC at the end of February-at 18, and if you know any cheaper landlords with rentals, I would be so grateful if we could message about it 😭
Chelsea brought me here .. After I saw you on HER channel ! ( In case anyone’s curious : Chelsea Callahan … another realistic NYC vlogger living in Queens … Chk her out !)
Well if you like a city that gives rats birth control and the people don’t know how to drive tolls are ridiculous rules and regulations are insane. Government sucks in the area. And the cost of everything is insane. Oh and 90% of the people are rude as hell.
HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!!! cant believe it's already 2024 🫣 who's finally investing in themselves this year??!!! ❤️❤️❤️
me! I'm planning on moving out this year and found this video very helpful. Thanks Mohuya

yessss, big queens girl here too! I do love many areas in Manhattan, but it's also so hard to let go of the rich culture in the neighboring boroughs 😭
i’m 17 and really want to move to nyc in the next 6-7 years! already saving up wish me luck 🤞
good luck! ❤️
Same here! Good luck to you!

thank you sm ❤️❤️ this is the year for you
The "3 pay subs" sucks for freelancers. Some property owners or real estate agents are turned of buy us. Also the up hair do 👌
tell me about it 😭😭😭 it was rough af
I’ve always wondered…how do y’all move furniture to your apartments without a car? Moving service?
yeah or you sell/donate/throw away everything and start fresh or you have friends and family who have cars that help!
this vid was so helpful. thank you . I really wanna move to NYC but with bengali parents, they dont wanna let me go lol. You gave realistic advice tho
girl i've been there too!!! let me know if you have any more questions and i'd love to help or make a part 2 💖
OMG three weeks ago, perfect timing.
hi welcome!!!
If possible could you please make a video about how you invest your money? Like 401k, Roth IRA, etc?
i'd love to! it's already on my list for video topics for this year :)
Great video!! Thanks for all of the helpful tips :)
of course!! 💖
What about using my parents as a guarantor. Do you think that’s helpful for the process? Or even them co-signing with me?
yup they can co-sign for you!
thanks for this! i wouldve never thought to bring the documents you mentioned

it's so rough without all that. look into subletting apartments on facebook groups until you can get some more history :)
this is so amazingg!! can u compare NYC to other major cities maybe like you and a friend can compare and contrast NYC and DC or NYC and Boston, etc
Thankfully got a spot with no broker fee no security fee just flat out 1700
congrats!!
How big is it? Me and my gf are wondering about moving up there in a couple of years after saving
Just like you said I would suggest anyone moving save up a lot before lol 😂 it’s expensive anywhere but especially nyc
hahahah that's why i started working from age 15 😭😭😭

Yeah don’t move here. Worst state ever. 60 years old been to 23 different states and this state is the worse by far.
Interesting. Would you care to expand on that?
You’ve never lived in Louisiana I see..
