I agree wholeheartedly and am praising the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit with you! Sadly, there are some in this comment section who STILL do not believe in the divinity of Christ, even after seeing this evidence. 🤦♀
Except this isn't evidence for anything actually true, except that people centuries after Jesus believed that he was a god. That isn't miraculous or special in any way.
Did you catch that this was built 200 years after Jesus' death? This is not proof of your claim. I would imagine knowing how easy it was to be claimed to be a god back then, that there were probably people who considered Jesus to be a god early on but there were probably some groups who thought every possible idea about Jesus. Remember Caesar was a god too.
@@jollyandwayloIt’s proof that Jesus’ divinity wasn’t established for political reasons in the council of Nicea 🙂. If you want earlier mentions of Jesus’ divinity, we have a whole entire thing called the New Testament that you can check out.
@@eclop07 Yes, this video seems strange since the gospels are believed to be written less than 200 years after Jesus' death. So why is this supposed to be such an important discovery?
Paul wrote about Jesus before 70 A.D.. We know this because he never mentioned the fall of the second temple. That would’ve been such an extreme event at the time, Paul would have absolutely written about it. Proving that his scriptures were written prior to 70 A.D. I believe that’s the earliest written information that we have and can verify. In addition to all the other mentions of Jesus from his enemies. God bless all.
@@oliver8160 the worst one I’ve ever seen is the fact that they believe allah tricked Jesus’ followers into thinking he was crucified. Thus damning 7 centuries of followers of Christ into believing he’s God. Lol. I don’t know how they get outta that one.
Paul would certainly have written about the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, except he, like. died in 64/65 AD. It's pretty well established among New Testament scholars, even secular historians like Bart Eheman, Kipp Davis etc that Paul's writings date to the 50s
Councils only affirm that which are established apostolic traditions/teachings, and usually to determine if new doctrinal innovations are consistent with orthodox belief. So the idea that Christ is divine is ancient to its very beginnings of the Church, not because a Council defined it. 😊😂
Exactly, Jesus said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Jesus viewed himself as God and made clear the trinity and included it as integral to the Church from the very start. It's so silly people argue such a thing. They study and argue anything except looking at the bible most of the time.
We also have the early church creeds from 0-2 years after Jesus which establish deity death and resurrection of Jesus. Long before the Gospels were written, even before Paul converted. Christians should have great confidence in the historicity of the new testament, it's exemplary.
Good point. Maybe it is because the mosaic is the original source and in case of the manuscripts we only have a some years later rewritten papers? I don't really know
@@Lone-Lee I get that but everyone is acting like this will destroy Unitarian positions as if we don't have earlier written evidence of Christians professing Jesus as God.

The message of the dream was that when this place was uncovered by archeologists, it would mark the beginning of the great tribulation and a Great War. It was a warning to be ready. So exciting !!! Especially because I know one of the main arguments against the trinity or the divinity of Jesus was the “council of nicea created this idea of Jesus being God”.. 😅
Which is very funny, since the existence sabellians prove the belief Jesus is God predates Constantine's birth. While even gnosticism believed Jesus was a divine being, an emanation from God that wasn't even human (since for gnostics matter is evil)

Not even close to the scrolls, from which we gained an enormous amount of information about the Judaism of the 1st century. But what this find does suggest is that persecution was nowhere near as prevalent as early Christian literature might suggest.
Persecution from Rome was not immediate and consistent. It came later slightly later, hit a peak, and then subsided. Hence it would not be surprising that there are things from a time when it was not at its peak. 230 was well before peak persecution in the 250s.

I heard Islamic arguments that Pauls writings are inconsequential as Paul never met the living Jesus. Hence he did not have any tutelage under him.

Councils only affirm that which are established apostolic traditions/teachings, and usually to determine if new doctrinal innovations are consistent with orthodox belief. So the idea that Christ is divine is ancient to its very beginnings of the Church, not because a Council defined it. 😊😂

Not even close to the scrolls, from which we gained an enormous amount of information about the Judaism of the 1st century. But what this find does suggest is that persecution was nowhere near as prevalent as early Christian literature might suggest.
Persecution was always there
@ Not too serious if the Christians could build churches with expensive mosaics advertising their beliefs.
Persecution from Rome was not immediate and consistent. It came later slightly later, hit a peak, and then subsided. Hence it would not be surprising that there are things from a time when it was not at its peak. 230 was well before peak persecution in the 250s.
Because it was a nightclub on Saturday and a house if worship non Sunday.
No different than today.
@ There were several periods of persecution, beginning in the 1st century, and not solely at Rome. But the survival of the inscription certainly indicates they they weren’t as extreme as one would think from reading Church authors like Eusebius.
