- (Since I'm pretty sure you'll ask about that Cadillac, that was its first outing on track after 17 years of inactivity. It had some ECU issues so it wasn't running at its best and you'll notice some bad misfiring sound from the twin-turbo V8. It will be ready to race again in the future) ;)
Last weekend I was at Circuit Paul Ricard for a great 3-days event organized by Racetrack Days during which there was also the final round of the French ROSCAR Championship. Many many cars took part at the event, even street-legal supercars, but this video is fully focused on the various race cars I recorded during the first day of free practices/track day. Hope you like it!

THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!!
I have a lot of respect for the engineers who take thier time to revive all of these older cars back into working order, especially when in many cases they are learning about these specific cars on a car-by-car basis due to how unique and complex they are.
That Cadillac LMP-900 car is gorgeous, I do love the LMP/IMSA/WEC Cars.
Edit:
Also, that "Solution F TC10 V8" featured at 8:28 in the video, is it based on a Chrysler? Strange looking car for sure, kind of like it thanks to it's odd appearance & crazy body/aero.
I did a quick google search on the Solution F TC10 and it sounds like it's an in-house design and then they slapped a Chevy LS7 in it. I've never heard about this car before I watched this video. Very interesting looking car.
@@schigeraXD It sure is very unique, It's design feels very South American blended with a bit of Italian mid-noughties concept styling.
The use of a Chevy V8 LS7 platform engine isn't all that surprising, off-the-shelf, and relatively cheap in regards to both performance-per-dollar and cost-per-part for maintenance.
I wonder if the LS7 was tuned or adjusted at all, or if it truly is just directly off-the-shelf, they offer a good amount of adjustability from a base starting point so I expect some adjustments have been made to fuel flow, valve timing, and various other parameters to increase peak RPM's and reduce overall fuel consumption.
The little Northstar that could. I wonder what would've happened if GM kept their Cadillac LMP program for the 03 season. Maybe it could've given Audi a run for their money.
I really wish Cadillac had put more effort into their LMP program, that was such a beautiful car.
At least they’ve made it up with the DPI efforts
TakeNoPrisoners very true 👍
@@takenoprisoners6604your wish came true
Ah the cadillac. Amazing! I never unterstand the cadillac 3 year LMP programm back in 2000-2002. At the end cadillac was competitive to the audi's and panoz. Then they ending the LMP programm in 2002.

@@greatcolor thanks!!!
2:12 Maserati growl, more please. 🍻
Those Maseratis sounded really good indeed!
I’ve had quite a hard time finding footage of the LMP-02 that wasn’t in Forza Motorsport. Thank you
Edgy Car same! Very cool car. I remember it from FM4
FM1 had also this car
Per Jalopnik (from a Bozzy quote lol) this is the first time the car has seen the track since it competed in period 17 years ago
cobrafan427 so that’s why. Wow
It seems that you are going a lot at Paul Ricard currently :)
I got to see the first Cadillac at the Portland race back in 2000 or 2001. Initially they were normally aspirated so they were a bit down on power next to Audi and Panoz. Eventually they got turbochargers and got more competitive.
They were always turbocharged. The issue wasn't so much the power, but the chassis. The first car was based on a Riley & Scott which was already a bit aged in 2000 when the Cadillac LMP program started. The 2002 car that is shown here was showing a lot of promise, finishing on the podium at Petit Le Mans that season, but it was too little too late as GM axed the program to concentrate on the the Corvettes.
Side note, I envy you getting to see ALMS live in that era. The Panoz mostly. I wish I could have seen it live in anger and not just TV.
@@BDR_Photo absolutely correct. Sadly the cadillac LMP program ends in 2002. The car was for the first time competitive in the LMP class.
@@BDR_Photo That Panoz was a monster
@@loudspeed2562 wait, would the 2000s be considered an Era for can-am racing? I don't know if it's spelled can-am, it was basically open cockpit race prototypes from the '60's and '70's
Some amazing cars (those old Maseratis are so charming), but I´m honestly surprised by that SP/300.R. Must be pretty rare, haven´t seen one yet!
Great video anyway!
I just love the deep V8 growl. And the Renault GT car. And yor awesome camera work! :-)
🙋 Hi and thanks Bozzy 👍 ♥️ your channel much enjoyed 😎
It's confusing because there was more than two northstar LMP models (cadillac). There was a different one with the same rear end but a different front look.
this is honestly the BEST background music.
8:27 What is that?
A "Solution F TC10 Cup V8" per the description.
Growing up I remember Our Neighbor had a 57 Caddy Ragtop with 2 tail Fins
as Huge as a F18..........At Least from my 3ft tall Perspective.LOL Thanks Bozzy!
It looks from this video like Cadillac caved in and designed in a single huge fin horizontally. It's still got two vertical "tail fins" holding it up though.
So many cars I had not heard before! Yes!
Those maseratis are the best sounding cars out there. Love the yellow Renault 👍
This and eldorado, the only ones i would drive
Oh it's a Renault. I was trying to work out what that orange and black thing was.
buddy out there rocking the IMSA Lites car! lol love it
Elan Mazda DP 🤔 DP for Daytona Prototype?
No, it's just the model number. They raced in the old IMSA Mazda Prototype Lites series.
I would love to get my hands on an LMP3 car
I love them all 😂
An aural and mechanical orchestra of some of the best instruments man has ever created.
Tbh the entry of the mistral chicane isn't that bad
I'm surprised that I never have heard of that old Maserati GranSport. Great to see that on track though! Great footage as always! Loving the mix of vintage and current!
Ferrari 333sp.
I enjoy watching the classes like this (and Group C) because of the variety of shapes and sounds with brands I can tell apart. Formula 1 I haven't watched in years. Enjoying photography I liked being track side at the old Trans-Am series for the same reason.
the only engine sound less exciting than a flatplane V8 is an inline 4.
both engines can be made better with an open intake or Individual throttle bodies or more RPM but otherwise they are not great to listen to.
I love your videos man !
Your videos are great. You must have a great camera cause a cheap camera with bad rolling shutter would kill those lovely pans of yours.

Gherdfikol Maserati
Kieren Standen obviously... I placed the marker as a reference... I needed to prove a point to my father about a Motorsport practice by that Maserati Coupè GT3
Gherdfikol or thought you was asking what it was
Kieren Standen nah lol you’re good... just a bookmark for me
Here’s another one 2:11 lol is it me or do you think it’s sounds like the BMW Z4 gt3
Beautifully-shot video - thanks for all of your postings!
Love the caddy! Do you know who currently owns it?
Do you live near Le Castellet now ?
sPACEje No he is based near Monza!
It's a sound jewel box(╹◡╹)
oh my gosh that 333sp absolutely howls
Love the variety in this video!
Is Cadillac seriously getting into LMP ? Holy shit. LMP is infinitely more exciting than F1 (IMO)
It's from 2002, American Le Mans Series. More info if you're interested jalopnik.com/americas-most-pointless-le-mans-car-is-back-1839892321
