Make sure the keyfob is at least 35 feet away from the vehicle while doing the install or you will likely get engine code issues. You can usually clear them by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes or if you have a OBD reader clear them that way. 2018 Ram 5.7
Holy cow what a difference! I took it easy with my 2014 Ram because of wet roads and cops out but my truck was flinging mud on our dirt driveway with barely a touch of the gas 😂
Who the hell would want that? It just makes the last 50% of your gas pedal useless. Nothing like having to barely touch your pedal and you light up your back tires. Pointless mod.
That’s what you get for messing with your truck with such a stupid mod. All these things do is trick your brain into feeling like you’re getting more acceleration out of less push of the gas pedal. Dumb in my opinion. Especially for $300.
Your dealership depending on how anal they are might try to void the warranty but you can remove it before taking it in and they'll never know the difference. Just like they can technically void the warranty on your vehicle if you replace the exhaust system with anything but the stock exhaust but most places overlook it unless you are making major upgrades. It doesn't improve HP so no it's not going to increase your top speed,it just takes the delay out of throttle basically improving the time it takes to get to top speed. If you want to increase top speed you need to increase Horsepower and and tuning and possibly removing the governor will help too.
When you start having problems with shifting and acceleration with a check engine light un plug the pedal commander and see if IT ALL CLEARS UP!! I had mine for a couple of years and just recently ran into these problems!! Until then I really did enjoy it but at $300 I guess I'll just deal with a less responsive stock unit!
Unfortunately I have to send my back the next day after its arrival. I installed it on my 2019 RAM 1500 but engine light turned on and throttle light turned on. I drove it around the block and the gas pedal went limp, not working when I press on the pedal. I've tried several times to install but it didn't work. Wish it works so I can feel what people are talking about.
@@bartholomeus1941 i dont have the hemi, but it does exactly what they claim. I installed in my v6 ram and it definately feels peppier. It takes the delay out of the throttle response. And gives the truck more throttle with less pedal input. Super easy to install

Great video and great product. My only minor beef is the supplied velcro tape doesnt work well in warmer weather. Otherwise imo, worth every penny
Just installed one of these. It made a big difference but in couple of days I had to have my truck in shop to have fuel pressure sensor replaced.

I was told by Pedal Commander you should not be switching while driving.

Doesn't void warranty. I had mine in and had warranty work done with it in still. Doesn’t do anything changes to the ECU

That may be the reason why it didn’t work properly . Im sure they are working to make for 19 and up
