    Looks like a good setup! The poop room is awesome but that Bouge RV step is crazy!!!!! I never even knew something like that existed!!!

      Thank you! We debated about getting the pooper room. Last time we went car camping, we were pretty secluded. We were thinking the same would happen this time. We were so wrong. We were camping with 300 of our favorite friends. So grateful.
      That BougeRV stepper is awesome. We didn't either until they reached out to us a few months ago. We have used it a bunch.

    Very cool - thank you for this vid! My wife and I just purchased a '22 Forester and I'm subscribing to a bunch of channels of folks who own Foresters and use them for their outdoor adventures for some great ideas. Thanks! Liked and subscribed.

      You're so wonderful! Congratulations on the new purchase! We use our Forester (Fez) all the time! We're looking at doing and all terrain setup for tires because we're scared that we'll blow a tire with some of the off roading we do. We had a car camping trip planned but unfortunately my father (Anna) had a stroke so right now we're just posting life updates via shorts til we can get back to creating content. Have you purchased anything for your Forester? We're a Subaru family through and through haha

      @@AnnaDandAdam First off, so very sorry about your dad's stroke. I hope he recovers soon and fully. 🙏
      No, we haven't purchased anything for our new Forester just yet, that's because we just bought it yesterday and it arrives to the dealership in about another week. 🙂
      I did however own a little 1984 Subaru Hatchback (4-speed manual, 1600cc engine) which ran like a champ and got 42 MPG on the highway, but I sold it in 1990 with 97k miles on it to buy a stationwagon because we needed the cargo space to move around furniture and appliances, and get ready to start having kids. 🙂BTW, the Hatchback was only front-wheel drive, but Subarus just run well off-road, period. My little Hatchback did pretty darn well on some basic dirt roads, and was confidence-inspiring!
      Thanks for your channel and I look forward to learning more about what ya can do with a Forester! Cheers!

    haha fun and entertaining video. Cool to see what gear you guys carry, This gives me ideas on what yo get for future travels. Subarus are the best adventure cars and that area looks beautiful outdoors.

    What brand and size is your owning? I found that the 6x8 ft one I tried was too long to even attach to the roof rails of my Forester. Ok, I found the answer after finishing your vid. Did you have to modify your rook rails to make it attach correctly?

    • @AnnaDandAdam
      @AnnaDandAdam  Год назад +1

      Hi Lisa!! We have the Yakima SlimShady 6.5 foot. We have been super happy with it. It fits really nicely on the Forester, even with the roof box.
      For the installation, the first time was a bit of a pain because we had to keep adjusting the brackets to find the right spots to get it to fit. Once we had the brackets lined up, we tightened them down, and that was it. We can put it on and take it off with ease. The roof rails live on the Forester, so it is always aligned.
      We had originally tried the Thule awning, but that one requires Thule roof rails. We have two sets of roof rails (Subaru and Bouge RV). It didn't work with either of them. The Yakima is universal.

    What is the size of your awning?

      Hi! Thank you so much. We have the Yakima Slimshady 6.5 feet long awning. It's worked out great so far!

    Do you all use window screens and any specific showering system to use? Thanks!

    • @AnnaDandAdam
      @AnnaDandAdam  Год назад +1

      Hey Brian! We've added some new things since this video, here's our updated one: ruclips.net/video/-JPez3m3qUc/видео.html
      To answer your questions, yes! We use window screens now and you can find them along with all of our car camping essentials here: kit.co/AnnaDandAdam/car-camping
      As for shower... Whenever we're staying anywhere without a shower we will either bring wash clothes (in our car camping link I included) or pay to shower at a commercial campground. People who live long term on the road in the US will often buy Planet Fitness memberships and shower there or build their own system for on-the-road-showering. We're never away more than 2-3 nights at a time.
      Thank you for watching! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    How tall are you two?

    • @AnnaDandAdam
      @AnnaDandAdam  2 года назад

      Great question, Adam is 5'7 (1.7 meters) and I'm 5'3 (1.6 meters). Adam says there's still some space between his feet and the back door of the Forester.
