Just did this yesterday in Oct. No snow but the last vertical climb up to get to the actual lake is also very sketchy! Worth it but TAKE YOUR TIME

My dream since I was very little girl was to travel around America .. in a decent size camper van , with a small trail kind of bike stored in boot ir in back of van … ooh & maybe, probably definitely a taser gun , bought from back of a car boot 💜🦄

What about refrigeration?
For this one we used a cooler with ice packs and packed a lot of foods that didn't need refrigeration like Peanut butter and jelly for sandwiches, tuna, apples, etc. Since all these things are expensive to buy we didn't have a budget for a fridge/freezer but will eventually. Thank you for watching!

Well, we didn't make it even to chasm junction in July. It was a great hike anyway. You are wise to know your limitations and avoid some terrible accident, which I hear happens a lot on that part of the trail that is on that steep sideways slope, when it is covered in snow and ice.

Hi! If we're staying the night there, we leave them set-up outside as a little dining area. If the weather is not great, we leave them under the awning. Hope that helps!

6’2” and I can sleep in the back of the ascent in the same way. No need for the head support though. (Awesome video for either vehicle) Should add without moving front seats as well.

When you saw the black bear on the trail, do you turn around? Did it happen on the hike in or hike out? We'll be at GNP next week and we're a little worried about bear sightings.
Thank you for your comment. When we saw the black bear, we were together walking and talking. Adam spotted the bear first. The bear popped it's head up out of the bushes and looked at us (no joke) like: "So... are you going to go or should I go?" and it waited a few seconds and when we didn't move it just crossed the trail and kept going up the hill. We waited about a minute before we kept going. We warned other incoming hikers about a black bear and to make sure they were aware and making noise. You will likely see a bear so be bear aware, have your spray and make sure you talk/make noise on the trail so you do not scare them. Make sure you research what to do when you encounter a black bear and a grizzly bear. For example, on our first day about five minutes ahead of us on Hidden Lake Trail on Logan pass, people were saying they had seen a Grizzly. The rangers quickly dispatched to make sure people were safe and not doing anything stupid to get hurt. We did also saw a Grizzly on the way to one of our day trips, it was by a reservoir. The rangers were there keeping an eye on it to make sure people were safe. Hope you have a fantastic trip - this park is absolutely breath-taking and worth the visit!
You see how you had the camera pointed at 4:30? If you would have walked in that direction the art gallery was on the right side by those cars.
