Lol ive gone through six blades and two foam rolls.😅 Granted they are getting better and better but the tips are giving me issues. Honestly, it's all just practice! A sharp craft knife is essential! And a Dremel to sand them down afterwards will really help! 😊 You need to be slow with the cuts as going too fast will cause issues, but yeah, the sharpness of the knife is the biggest thing you need to get right! 👍
@@TheFoamWitch right. That makes sense. This is my first cosplay that I'm actually crafting myself. Very tedious moments. I had to recut my spikes completely and this last set looks a lot better. loved the video, very well explained and informative. for painting this what are your steps? do you further heat seal, liquid seal then prime, paint and clear coat or some other method? and do you know approximate angles to aim for for the dofferent angled cuts?
Thank you so much! And for painting it would be heat seal, then liquid seal (which also acts as the primer depending on what you use) and then I use gold airbrush paint sprayed on using my airbrush. Hand paint the black details afterwards and I wouldn’t clear coat! And angles, im not really sure to be honest. It’s probably close to a 45 degree outward angle 👍👍
thank you! some other questions i had, for the liquid seal do you recommend plasti-dip or a rubber sealant? and how many coats of airbrush do you usually use?
@@justinmccarthy4066 I can’t say I’ve used either of those to be able to recommend.
