What would you recommend for a quick visor for an spd red helmet? I have to make last minute adjustments to my helmet before a con this weekend, any advice would be extremely appreciated my ranger friend.
Type in face shields on Amazon because there are definitely some that are pretty large, you could try to find a big thin clear plastic storage bin but that is quite a huge visor 🤣 I don't envy that task
The mold of this helm is off ... No offense to you or this work whoever you buy your files from isn't it..

Yeah if you watch my other videos I actually talk quite a lot about how I don't really enjoy do3d files the set of files was bought as a gift for me so I worked with what I had 🤣🤘🏼
Not sure if you're familiar with it. But what would you recommend for the eye visors for a Kamen Rider Geats helmet?
Often I feel like people usually print them and drill a punch of holes, have you ever looked up diy vacuum forming? Could print the eyes then vacuum form them

How much does it cost you to build a helmet start to finish?
Depends on the helmet really, if you have your own 3d printer it's not too bad also depends on what plastic you buy, this yellow ranger took almost a whole roll to print.
Who did you say had the nice helmet files that you WOULD recommend? It was hard to understand the name in the video. I tried searching a bit. But I didn't find anything close to what I thought you said. Thanks in advance.
honestly i cant recommend them the files look to be stolen. Nikko has all the rangers, if you buy a quarterly membership with code Quest youll get the membership for 40 and get all his helmets or do3d just red did theirs if you used q4n20 you get 20% off

Yeah i also printed a second kit just in case the sanding it down ended up still having a paint issue if any onld paint was left behind.

Thanks! It was pretty tough figuring out what i liked, best some were too pale but kinda fit the early 90s washed out vhs look but i think this one turned out well

I may need to try that 1k Clear Coat. I've been using that rustoleum silver on a few projects, but when I've put a clear over top of it, it loses all of it's luster and turns to a dull grey color.
the duplicolor 1k keeps it looking great for sure

Have you ever had issues with the krylon paint before? Is it something that should be avoided or was it a bad reaction with the primer?
Hard to tell, kapturerealms on insta is doing a yellow Mando and said he had the same issue with sunbeam yellow
You should always paint metallics over pink or yellow, it gives you a better look than black.

What was your process to sand it back to the start?
Go all the way back to 80, needed the harder grit to take off the cured paint
I love the clean simple look, Panel lines to me just makes the helmet weaker. I built a full Halo suit with the original Master Chief helmet(just so I can wear it while riding my motorcycle) and left off the panel lines. FYI the entire suit is actually DOT approved and the helmet has a built in video recording system with full 360 degree recording capability
Lol I'm glad you through in the DOT part cause definitely didn't want people riding around in pla helmets
@@SaturdayMorningProps yea I had to make the entire suit out of carbon fiber. 6 months of testing just to get it approved by the DOT.

Do you put Guides in the Front and Back of the helmet so when you close it, it lines up perfectly? Or just The Latches outside and elastics inside?
I dont ever add any, some modelers have tabs on them some dont.
