I made this pillow a few years ago ... Calif for Family members .. and I made Wisconsin .. for friends as a thank you for having us for a visit .. beautiful state
What a great project for your scraps. Even the really small pieces could be used for places you want to highlight. Thank you so much! I’ve lived in 35 states and 12 years in Germany. Think I’ll make a quilt with those on it.
Thank you so much for the state outlines. I did a pillow last summer for MN from a pattern that I picked up during the state Shop Hop. My daughter is moving to another state and it will be fun to make her a house warming gift of her new home state!
Thanks so much for sharing this fun project and including links to download and print the different states! Had a thought that during this unusual situation we're all in, those currently home schooling could use this project for a lesson in geography as well as arts/crafts/sewing, especially if creating a project with several states or regions. If you had access to fabric with fruit, veggies or whatever the state/region was known for that could also be incorporated. Could create pillows, wall hangings, table runners, etc...
Such a cute project. Thank you! I am planning to make several so that I can have a pillow with both me and my husbands state. I also want to make them for the kids so that they have their birth states and the state they live in.
From west Iowa. Chilly and windy too.. I am putting togeth a couple envelope pillows to go with quilts I made last Christmas. If I have enough fabric I like the idea of doubling the backing fabric on each side. To me a single layer always seemed a little thin.
Look, you are not Jenny. You are your own smart funny person. You have your own way of doing things which work. You did an enjoyable informative video. If you keep doing them, it will it easier for you. I promise.

What a fun project. I love making pillows so this is a win-win to make as a gift for a guest visitor. Thank you for the lovely item.
Thank you Courtney and MSQC team. Enjoyed the tutorial and appreciate your team's willingness to keep 'em coming.

This is perfect for my couch in the basement where we like to get cozy. It will look nice but I can use soft fabrics. Love it!
I loved it when you were explaining how much you enlarged the pattern. You said, "When you blow up your state..." That really made me laugh out loud.

I love states projects but I live in Colorado so it would just be a rectangle haha. I love the slanted strips!!
Well, your state is one of the easiest to actually piece instead of applique, at least!
