I am not ashamed to admit it. After 2 years or so on a 300, I moved up to a bigger bike, a Z900. I didn't like it for a number of reasons, but one of the main ones was that it had more power than I needed or wanted. I am back on a small bike now and I love it.
I have ridden a fz07 and it would be a fantastic second bike. I have opted for the the r7 as the motor is the same but I like the r7 seating and not being thrown into hyperspace by a bigger bike as papa yam has stated 😂
To a large part, I attribute this process to objectifying wonder. I've been riding for 6 years now, about 10 bikes owned, many more tried. Without living through the fast pulls of a sportbike I doubt if be so comfortable cruising around on my maxi scooter. Been there, felt the exhilaration, experienced the normalization of near death high speed risks. I still think about high speed pulls, but now that I've had a few seasons here and there of it, I find more pleasure in the city and highway cruising I spend 90% of my time doing. Try it but do so safely homies
@@acrazedtanker1550 I flip cars. Had a truck. Dude wanted it real bad. Ended up with cash and an sv1000. Had zero plan to ever ride a motorcycle. But while I was waiting for it to sell, it started taunting me. So I got a helmet and took it out. Realized real quick that it was too much bike and traded it for something slower. That was march 2020.... dmv has been closed or vastly backed up ever since. Can't get in to get my damn endorsement.
The reason I wanted a stronger bike: getting up a hill without the fear of an overheated bike. I started on a 50cc moped, got my A2 licence and upgraded to a 500cc Benelli. Kind of a big jump but it was worth it.
i started on a 50cc ped as well, because its all i could legally ride at 16. got myself a yamaha yzf r125 now that im 17, and that felt like one hell of a jump from 3 horsepower to 15. cant imagine how it mustve felt on your first ride on your benelli.
@@jonathanjoestar__ Lol bro I started on a 50cc broken moped (3times all of em broke) which gave some great learning experience (and also hell) have a Ninja 250 rn but I'm not old enough to take the MSF Course fuck the law
1. Ride a SV650 for a year or 2 ...get comfortable with the power, weight, braking and handling...put heaps of Ks on it in all conditions. 3. Get on a busa and do 1 pull 4. This should be mind bendingly quick...might scare you off a bigger bike for now or you might fall in love 5. Buy a busa regardless 6. Realise that it's just a bike...like any other bike...you decide when to go fast and what your right hand does 7. Enjoy and understand your limits and explore them within reason. Ride your own ride, never try to keep up or show off and don't trust cars on the road and you will be fine. 8. Keep the SV and take it to the track...the street and track are different planets...stick with the SV on the track! Nothing wrong with having more power or more bike that you can use on the street aslong as you can control it and yourself.
The thing i like the most about riding my n1k is that the bike isn't struggling at all with normal riding, including cruising at 80+ mph on the highway. I don't like to be maxing out my machine to get through a normal ride.
@@gapplebees9295 I sort of agree, but the SV650 isn’t pinging off the rev limiter at 80mph. My drivetrain is stock, and 80mph is about 5,000rpm in 5th on a 6 speed transmission.
@@jshumphress13 the sv650 is a fine motorcycle. There are a lot of bikes that will barely hit 90 downhill into the wind though. My little bro started on a vstar 650 and it struggled to hit 85. You can barely pass trucks here in Tx on that bike. I didn't say everyone needs a 1000cc bike. I just said that's why i like mine.
My 1st bike: Honda Grom My 2nd bike: Suzuki GSX-R 600 The GSX-R came with a free pair of flip flops and the guy I bought it from took my helmet away from me, it was the weirdest thing...
Started out on a 600cc 75hp inline-4 motorbike. After a year of learning and improving my skills I felt like it was missing character mostly. I switched to a VFR800 from '99. The low down torque, top end power and character of the V4 engine were exactly what I was looking for. I have been riding it for over a year now and done more than 10.000km, and it still excites me every time. I plan to stay on this platform for much longer, maybe even forever!
I’ve been on my 06 Honda 919 for almost 6 years now. It’s top speed it fairly limited at around 145 mph but it has plenty of power. You can take corners very quickly on it and it’s quite practical in a way. I enjoy riding and learning new ways to unlock the bikes full potential very much. I started on a old Honda 450 from like 1980 if memory serves. I don’t know that I’ll ever need a bigger bike on the streets than my 919. It does everything you’ll ever need on the streets. I live in northwest Missouri. If you’ve never seen or ridden around this area, you’re really missing out on some great roads and views that are breathtaking. Ride safe.
Started on a 650 18 months ago, it’s was scary for me the first few rides. But now it’s slow, I’ve out grown it, I can drag a knee, I can beat Harley’s one handed. It’s time to step up, probably why I brought a zx10r yesterday.
I've been riding 650 class bikes for almost 20 years. A long string of sv650's and FZ07's. It was all the power I ever needed. Finally got myself a Z900. Not because I wanted more power, but because I wanted the next level of quality, smoothenss, adjustability, and fit and finish. Going from a twitchy, temperamental FZ07 to a buttery smooth z900 was a life changing experience.
I switched from my Ninja 650 to my S1000RR after a year and a half. Mostly because it was a present to myself and partially from my family and friends but also because I feel like my bike didn't challenge me enough, no matter how much I pushed it. I really think it's dependent on your personality and what you expect from your bike.
@@AntaresSQ01 mainly takes forever to get there. 130 is pretty good, but if you need a mile of straight line to get there you're offering up a lot of risk to do it. acceleration feels good man, not trying to set track lap records lol. Would feel the same about a Lambo, just feels good to rip it. Not gonna be the Stig and not trying to, especially on a public road.
Went from a gxsr600 to a tlr1000, took a 10 yr break (kids), bought a ninja 650 5 years ago,, still love it and will probably be last bike I buy. Parallel twin, more than enough power, sits higher and more comfortable, lower I surance, and 50-60mpg. What's not to love.
My dealership handed me the keys to a Niken after 1000 kilometres on an MT03 and I was really wondering what I had to do to get the speedometer past 100. I tried pinning the throttle, I went downhill throttle pinned. I then realized after getting stuck behind a van I realized it was set for miles per hour instead of kilometres per hour.
I went from a ninja 650 to an Aprilia RS 660. While both bikes are close to the same CC, the RS 660 is more powerful and a hell of a lot more fun to ride. Plenty of tech and power for my needs.
Got a 2008 ninja 250 I paid $1500 for in Australia. It was all I could afford at the time but I love it! It’s been my daily for almost a year now and I’ve done around 6000km on it. I’ve learnt so much about riding and control and even heaps about maintenance! I was definitely mechanically noobish! Looking forward to getting my full license and working hard to be able to upgrade to something bigger! One day...... one day
I rode a CBR600RR, which I loved, for 10 years then upgraded to a 1,000cc yamaha MT10, which I love and have been riding for 3 years. I have over 30,000 miles of riding (mostly commuting) and I still like watching beginner bike videos.
I am a Harley boy 52 years young. I started on a 1984 Honda CM400 in 1992 moved into a 1988 HD sportster 883 then took 18 years off to do a little family raising.. got back on a 2003 HD lowrider in 2014 that I've put 75K on and acquired a 2014 HD streetglide that Ive put 12.5K on in the last 12 months NY riding. back roads, twisties through the Catskills and Adirondacks and commuting. both bikes have a lot of displacement 88 CI(1450cc) 103CI(1690cc) I'm thinking of adding a naked bike to the stable Yamaha MT07/09 or Duke 690/790. dropping the CC by about half but increasing the fun level by who knows....enjoy your channel much and love the HD banter
the thing is how frequently you ride your bike. i rode a 125cc for 1.5 years and now I have a MT03 660cc with 48bhp for the a2 license. its WAY quicker and has tons of torque, but would still enjoy a ride on a 125cc. if you ride your bike everyday, youre always wanna get something faster but if you get back to your bike after lets say a week not riding, that speed of your bike will again suprise you. its all about the discipline
I ride a 125. Still fun. I do kinda wish I had a bigger bike for the thrill and not to worry so much about cars. Been riding for 6 months now. Fell only 3 times😅
This is a fair video. 1st bike i got i restored was a $300 02 Shadow vt750. After 5 years i finely sold it direct at $2300. Went and got my always wanted 2014 Valkyrie and a huge difference in power and luckily I was ready for it.
I do seriously love my Duke 390. I’ve been pushing it a bit, learning how to drift. Sure, sometimes I would love to have a 790 or 890. I just know I’m learning some great riding skills.
I bought a Ninja 650 as my first bike and honestly was a little scared off at first. Finally after a year and half of riding I’m getting a ZX14R. Just kidding but I am stepping up now to a ZX6R that my cousin is letting go for dirt cheap. Just needs some TLC. But from starting on that 650 I can not only get that bike up and running like new. I can properly ride it and ease into what will eventually be my dedicated track bike. Jokes aside this channel has really helped me a lot in getting into motorcycles. Love bikes, love the community, and love this channel.
I bought a bike to use for 100k + miles. Not a toy to keep upgrading. Ninja 400 is perfect, not too fast, not too slow, light, easy and always fun to ride. I can ride it every day and love every minute of it. Even after years of riding a 650. I'll probably never get a liter bike.
I started on an R3 and rode it for 11k miles. I bought a ZX6R a year later that I still have and have done almost 10k on it this year. Made me realize that I need something more comfortable. I’m torn between the Z900 and MT09. I’ve done lots of research on both and I can’t decide. I’ve always loved Kawasaki since I was a kid, but I’m leaning towards going back to team Yamaha for a while.
First bike, a Samurai 650cc, Second bike was a FZ6, But then I got my Connie 1400.... I will never go back from a Sport tourer...The detuned ZX14 engine is perfect all around and it's nimble and comfortable for the longest rides.
To preface I've been driving driving standard cars for over a decade and love all things racing. I bought a 2020 ninja 400 in October last year, put around 9000km and did a few track days on it. Bought a 2021 MT 09 in July and have put another 8500km since then. Lucky enough to pay cash for both, still have the ninja as a track toy and the MT is for the street. Love them both still.
I started riding in 1978 and have been through just about everything. My current main bike for the last 5 years has been an R3 and it is one of the most fun bikes I have ever owned. Ordering a 2022 MT-07 just because, well, it's an MT-07, everyone should have one in the garage.
Started on my vitpilen 401, I genuinely still love it but plan on getting an XSR700, have tried to sell the husky a few times and have actually told people no, looks like I’m attached, two bikes for me 😅😂🤣
Starting on a 700 (Tracer 7 GT) and absolutely love it. It's all about how good your self-control is, I say beginners can start on a 700+ as well. You just need to be responsible enough. Don't know if I'll ever upgrade though, because insurance above 700cc is absolutely ridiculous here in Austria. 🇦🇹 Not throwing a whole monthly wage out the window for it. ☠️
I started on an XSR700 but I had dirt riding experience to back it up. Love the bike but definitely crave a little more power and preferably cruise control and adjustable suspension 😂
When I turned 18 during the pandemic, went out and got myself a Yamaha FZ1. Starting on a 1000cc was definitely terrifying but for the hang of it. Really need to know your limits. Ride safe out there
I can imagine once you ride it consistently for a month you will have a sense of muscle memory on how not to go nuts and control the acceleration I am getting a iron 883 Harley( because I love the sound and look of the bike) and once I feel 100% comfortable on that I want to get a ninja h2 even thought that thing is a speed demon I am not really reckless on my driving and only plan on cruising on it because the sound and look of the bike is astounding to me
Started on a 250 x6 suzuki,at 16yo ,2 years on it, had cars next 17 years. The bought a new 93 zx11 kawi and finally to a 2oo2 zx12r, which is my current ride ! Still enjoy it at 63 yo
I started on a 650 v strom, rode it for a year and got a 1000 v strom. It’s faster sure, but mostly just way more planted on the highway and more comfortable. Less stressful in cross wind too.
The whole A and A2 license is a little misunderstood in US I believe. I live in the EU and started on an MT07 which is classified as a “big bike” in EU. It all depends how old you are. So, you can start on a 1000cc bike in the EU too.
Back in 2017 my older brother convinced me to get my endorsement and buy my candy thunder blue 2005 Kawasaki EX-500 (Ninja 500R). Fun bike to learn on but eventually got bored of the styling and wanted a fuel injected inline-4 600cc. Specifically the 2003-2004 B1 ZX-6R 636 and bought a red one this Memorial Day for $3,200 w/ 16,000+ miles. My inspiration for wanting this 636 was BakerXDerek & his old green 636.
I started on an 800cc ducati monster. Wasnt a fan and now i have a Daytona 765. Yes its slightly smaller displacement but it has more hp so im not complaining, i love it
My first bike. Which i still have after 2 years. Is my 2005 1100cc Honda Shadow Sabre. Didnt want a cruiser that was 750 or so. Screw that. Didn't want a mid 1000's one. So 1100 was perfect. Its big enough and got plenty of power. Back seat super comfy for my girl. I love her
I had a 93 cb750 as my first bike which is like a 400 for a regular person since I’m 6’6 and 370 pounds lol, put on 25k miles in 2 years and upgraded to a fjr1300 and I’m happy with this bike for the rest of my life
Someone stole my R3 three nights ago, perfect timing for this! Rode it for nearly a year and a few months, 6k miles on it, been on 3 hour rides, rode in heavy rain for practice, helped me get really comfortable taking corners 15-30 over.. its time
@@EVsSuck777 Even if insurance gave me full money for my stolen vehicle, I'd still be mad, because as a gearhead, I'd have a personal connection to the vehicle, meaning that you stole one of my friends or best friends. Especially since the guy is describing all he went through with that very bike, I'd be even more pissed off and hellbent on finding the thief and punishing them.
As a noob I started on a 1250cc Harley Sportster and after 4 months bought a second bike, 995cc Ducati Street Fighter V2. Will keep both for a while and master them. My next bike will probably be a Ducati Panigale V4s as a third bike once those are paid off.
Live in the Netherlands and the requirements for getting your license and riding on public roads are very strict with riders taking lessons with a registered instructor before undertaking both a skills and road competence exam before your let loose on your own. As i result I was confident enough to start on a triumph street triple rs, put 7000 kms on it this year along with a couple of track days. I am now getting a bmw s1000rr as i want more power... i know i won't even touch the surface of what that bike is capable of but I don't care.... ill take it step by step and as long as i understand my limits and don't drive like an idiot I'll be a-okay. Keep practicing....
I got my S1000RR this year, it's an insane machine, you definitely need to take it to a circuit at least once. I personally also just love to go crazy with it at night when the streets here are empty 😆
I’ve been on my panigale v2 for 8 months now. And I’m strongly considering something like an rc390 to learn myself some track riding. One thing I’ve learned is that having a certain type of bike over another doesn’t make you any cooler.. Edit: unless of course it’s a turbo busa
Been riding an old 250 for years now. I still love that old rat bike, got loads of memories on it. But I’m buying a big 650 dual sport for this summer and fall. Excited as hell
I've been riding dirt bikes and been on my dads hurricane since I've been 2 and half, I went for honda pcx 150 back in 2018 and now for 2022 im getting my speed twin
Im a cruiser guy oriented toward performance (dont like big, heavy, bad handling bikes) so I got an and Indian Scout Bobber which has (some) sport bike character. But after a year Id like more so Im stepping up to a Ducati XDiavel. Comfortable, balls quick, and handles well too. Ducati magic.
Something newer riders tend to forget, is that jumping from a 40hp bike to a 160hp bike is the equivalence of jumping from a bone stock econo car like a Gen 5 Impreza with an anemic 152hp, to a Corvette ZR1 with 755hp.
I've got over 55,000 miles of daily commuting rain/hail/shine on my CB500F in the last 5 years. Hit 5 kangaroos, 1 wallaby and 1 deer in that time all between 40-70mph and not come off yet lol do all my own maintenance except changing tyres. Saving to get my open licence & upgrade :)
I went from 125cc hyosung aquila SV to a 2017 triumph bobber within one year and only 3k riding experience. And I still drive the 125 from time to time. It is all about discipline.
Worst mistake I made was starting on a 300, slow AF. Switched for a liter bike after a few months and haven’t regreted it since. It’s all about the ability of the rider to be responsible.
I've had my 2013 ninja 300 since 2012. I've covered over 21k miles on it plus another 25k on the 13 zx6r 636 that I had a few years back. To this day I've never got bored on my 300 and it always makes me smile since it was my 18th birthday present from my dad. I plan on getting the ninja h2 carbon next year and I can honestly say I'll probably be riding my 300 more then it 🤷♂️
Started on a 2012 Ninja 250 then moved up to a 1993 Katana 600 and then moved up to my current bike my 2017 Triumph street triple 675R and this bike is an incredible amount of fun...I will get one more bike after this and that will be my dream bike a 2011-2015 zx10r ....The street triple is fun but I just want a little more power after 140 mph on the straight aways and the zx10r provides that for sure..after the 10r I think iL hang up the gloves and helmet...with that said the Triumph has been a blast so far..after taking my father 2021 zx10r for a spin tho that 1000 power for anyone who has ridden one knows its unreal and a very addicting feeling .Hopefully iL have my liter bike some day .There awesome.Just gotta choose wisely where and when you fully crack open that throttle .
20 years of riding, 7 racing, and I'm STILL wanting a faster bike. I'm tired of being limited to a 186mph stock limit. I paid for it, I want to use said power. I want a 250hp missile that has minimal electronic nannies.
I understand you can certainly unlock the limiter but the 10,000 electronic aids still gets in the way. I want my S1000RR to stop holding my hand and just let ME decide what is actually unsafe.
I started on a 600 and have only had 650s since. My first bike was a ‘96 Suzuki Katana 600. Next was a 2002 Kawasaki KLR 650, and I just recently got a 2009 Kawasaki Versys 650 as a commuter. Despite being happy with my collection, I’m always looking for more bikes.
I like how I still watch these videos even though I have been riding for years and have a gsxr 1000 😂 My list of bikes GZ250 Ninja 300 Sv650s GSXR 750 GSXR 1000
As a big leather daddy harley...who started life on a crusty hyosung 250gt...i can say that faster is not always better...bigger is better for long range cruising...low revs huge torque... however if you are after faster...well then the big four for speed...(or pre rotax buell) and the litre bike makes sense...but as you found out with the royal enfield ride...slow is good as well...
after 5 years of driving in vietnam. I'm finnaly upgrading from a 150cc. most likely getting a Ducatista monster 795. I've driven in floods, major typhoons, extreme heat. I think I'm ready.
Started on a Honda CBR1000RR SC57 straight after I got my license and drove it back to my place in a 3.5 hours ride through heavy rain on the German Autobahn. However, Germany is rather strict in term of license requirements, so this was after having spent 16 instructed training hours on a MT-07. Also, throttle response on this CBR1000RR generation is not that aggressive in the lower rpm‘s due to the 4 stroke, and I had some experience going fast / training my vision by riding a sports car as a daily for the last 4 years :)
Really glad I watched this. I daily a 300 dual sport and I constantly want more power and have been considering selling it, but when I walk out and see it I still become giddy and I'm to emotionally attached to sell. Maybe I'll do the two bike thing instead
I've gotta wait til my 19th birthday before I can get my A2 licence (UK)... nearly 4 months on the bike and I've whacked 3k miles on my 125. Sucks having to wait, but looking to buy a CBR500R for the next bike!
I started in a 2020 Ninja 400. I put 12,000 miles on it in 11 and a half months till i got t-boned in a intersection. Unfortunately i promised my parents i wont get on another bike. Almost lost my leg. Blacked out on impact.
This might be the perfect video for me to step in. I’ve always had Harley’s. I won’t count any time on dirt or pit bikes because it was never time spent learning. Just someone letting me ride their bike for a few minutes. I started on a Sportster for a few months then jumped on a Dyna and never looked back. I went to a bagger then back down to what many call a Dynatail because it used to be a Dyna and now a Softail but I’ll just call it a Street Bob because that’s what it is and always has been. They can kiss my ass if they think I’m calling it a “Standard” it’s a Street Bob. I had 2 of them when they were Dyna’s, I know a Street Bob when I see one. We can even call it a bobbed Super Glide if that makes you happy. No matter what they are. The only thing that matters is how hard I always rode them. Pushing them to 100% all the time and thinking it was perfect and how they’re meant to be ridden. I rode plenty with all my friends on naked and sport bikes and always kept up enough that I wasn’t riding home alone from getting ditched. But there was a nagging want for a naked bike. Since I started in 2014 the FZ-09 made it’s debut and caught my attention. I’m a big guy. Short but big. So the lack of a proper suspension always turned me away. I still wanted one and thought maybe I could still ride one but I wasn’t going to buy one without knowing because I’ve seen the tank slapper videos. I had gotten a nice payday from a lady totaling my first Dyna and had enough to buy one outright with the stipulation that I wanted to test ride it. They declined even though I said I won’t need a loan. So I walked away and continued to build my skill on an iron horse which I’m almost certain they call them that now because they handle like one. But because like I said I could keep up with friends, I thought it was good enough to get the job done. Fast forward to 2021 and Yamaha fixed the suspension issues on my beloved MT-09. So I said screw it I’m buying the first one I see and I’ll just live with it even if the suspension still sucks. Now my Dyna Glide Street Bob Standard sits in the corner watching as I giggle in glory every time I take out my MT-09. So I say. Learn the basics on a lighter weight cruiser. Then when you’re comfortable get a naked bike and never look back because everything else will never make sense again. Also because it’s low but still heavy. So you get used to something heavy, but it’s low enough, that even at 5’6” like me (with my T-Rex arms and legs) you can comfortably get both feet down while learning.
Bought a zx6r earlier this year and put about 4k miles on it in a few months, im pretty comfortable on it but its definitely got more than im willing to take at the moment
if you comfortable on it try pushing it to its limit and keep it there. if your still easily comfortable and safe then you could check out an R1 or a zx10. same style more speed. so many people want big bikes but don’t even go 10 over lmao
I’m 3 years and 40k miles on my 300. Time to upgrade to a bigger sport tourer that will handle the highway better but I’m keeping the 300. Nothing quite like riding a slow bike fast.
I started with my suzuki vl intruder 125cc as we have no choice on UK as starting point, had it for few years tbf and I've put just over 50k miles on it and yes it's actually lasted with all year riding in the gloriously unpredictable UK weather until last week when my gearbox and motor decided to abilatorate itself, got full licence and had couple of diff bikes whilst still owning the vl, yet that was prob the most reliable n robust one out of the lot until it went bang. Think it's time to get big bike for all year riding as I'd say there bit more robust for high mileage rather than for the reasons yammie has put forward. Either way great vids yam keep up good work
I started on a chinese knock off of the Intruder 125, great bike as it had that full size cruiser feel with a small engine...but i felt even for a 125 it was sluggish so i know have an 08 YZF R-125. I left it late to start riding as i only started riding the start of the year and i was determined to get riding before 30 (just about did it) I am sticking with my YZF for the remainder of my CBT which is about a year and half then i will get full license and get another cruiser with a bigger engine...something that i can throw on the motorway all day would be great :)
another tip, if your lil bike got impounded cause you had too much fun and wound up with the red and blue behind and you forgot your insurance, buy some junkyard upgrade, worth the time and effort and tears for the lil guy.
I got scooter when was 13 and make first driving licence , then i move to Yamaha RD 80 mx from 1984 . Yes , it was having cluch and 14 hp in 2 stroke woow so much power! I was riding like 3 years and lot of upgrades , then i jump on Aprilia Extrema 50 1994 , this had even more ! But was litle to small. Then at age 23 I safe money for big bike! GS 500 39hp 1994 . I ride 2 years , made 15000km , change tires , drive all across country, check every type of road even woods , it was adventure! This year it hit me , riding with my gf it didnt have enought power to catch other bike to 60mph on longer roads , and now i'm enjoying hyosung 650GT R with 82hp. It got everything i need. Probably dont move to bigger bike for some time ,but after 20000 km we think about something bigger or after 30000 🤣
A lot of bigger CC bikes now have different riding modes. Keep it in the lowest mode until you get used to the bike and want more power. My XDiavel feels like a 300 when it’s in Urban Mode and feels like a monster in sport mode!
funny thing tho...I have ridden a bike down to the beach and into the water. Twice. A BMW R1150RT (touring bike) once solo (couple of passes in the surf) and once with a passenger (good 1 mile rip up the wave line). Bike was fine, but had a lot of salt to wash off.
Great timing, I just did an hour ride in the rain on my 650, and now I'm thinking all those litre bikes I've been lusting after are probably not necessary. Nice to look at, but do I really need to do 70mph in first gear? BOOOOSAH!
I went from a Vulcan S to a Z900RS to a Ninja 1000SX, and i picked up a Victory Gunner after the Z that i still own. If i had the foresight to what kind of bike i actually wanted, probably would have skipped the Z but I'm glad i bought it because i learned naked bikes aren't for me.
I bought a beautiful 2022 Z900 RS Cafe in April of this year. Great bike, but I REALLY miss my Ninja 1000 SX. I bought it before I realized that the new 1000 SX has cruise and quick shift. Cafe is for sale. 1,800 miles and not a scratch on it. Hit me up! Been eyeing an H2 SX SE, too.
I have an R3 that I'm learning on. I've had it for 3 months and put around a thousand miles on it and I believe I'm ready for something with a little more power. I am in the mountains and after just a few group rides that were 2-4 hours, I can outpace the big bikes in the corners. Only thing is that she is absolutely screaming and sits are redline most of the time to make power lol. Once we get on the highway it is kind of rough on it too. I'm always between 5th being tapped out and 6th not having much left in it. Edit: I rode with a buddy today that has a KTM 690 that bragged about being the fastest in the corners out of the group. We got to a stopping point and the first thing he said was "you are damn quick on that thing" lol.
My journey So far: Got a Aprilia 125 at 16 put 10k km on it Got an upgrade at 19. Bought a ninja 650. I put 20k km on that than upgrade 2 years later again with a bmw s1000r. I did 20k km on that as well and last Saturday I got my M1000RR. Planning to put at least 200k km on it before I get another bike

Hey Yammi! Would you say a 2005 Honda Shadow 750cc would be to much for a beginner?
I subbed bro… have been, let’s get it.
Yammie I am literally asking random people to sub were gonna get that TURBOOOO BUSSAAAAAAA
Was it the amount of power it made, or how it delivered it? Torque vs HP?
This makes me want to vomit, no offense
What you get?
I started with a 1,000cc.
Quickly changed it out for a 250, then 400, then 650, and now a 700. 700 is where I plan to stay for quite a while.

Love my Benelli!
i started on a 50cc ped as well, because its all i could legally ride at 16. got myself a yamaha yzf r125 now that im 17, and that felt like one hell of a jump from 3 horsepower to 15. cant imagine how it mustve felt on your first ride on your benelli.

1. Ride a SV650 for a year or 2 ...get comfortable with the power, weight, braking and handling...put heaps of Ks on it in all conditions.
3. Get on a busa and do 1 pull
4. This should be mind bendingly quick...might scare you off a bigger bike for now or you might fall in love
5. Buy a busa regardless
6. Realise that it's just a bike...like any other bike...you decide when to go fast and what your right hand does

07’ VFR, couldn’t ask for anything else!
I started riding last year with a 125cc Supermoto and made 12427 miles on it. I recently sold it and now own a Duke 390 since 4 days. i love it
I’ve been on my 06 Honda 919 for almost 6 years now.
Congrats on your zx10r. What year did you get it if I may?
At that rate, you're headed straight into MotoGP. Congrats!!
Congrats on your new beast. What year?

The XS 750 triple is one of my favorite bikes, that I've never owned. I've had two CB 750's, a '78 and an '81. Right now I've got a Buell X1.
ITS ABOUT DRIVE 🏍️
ITS ABOUT POWER 🐎
WE STAY HUNGRY🔧
WE DEVOUR💀
Couldn’t agree more with you! 👍🏼
No offense, but most riders' definition of "pushing it" is slow AF. That 650 prob had a lot more to teach you - best of luck on your S1000RR
You mean no matter how much you twisted the throttle in a straight line it'd only do 130mph? right? lol

I rode my R3 for 8 months and upgraded to a Zx10 2017 model, I for one am loving it as my daily ride.
Check out the older Fz1s and Fz8s… they are more comfortable then the Mt09s in my experience.. also bullet proof engines and dirt cheap prices.

I like how I still watch these videos even though I have been riding for years and have a gsxr 1000 😂
My list of bikes
GZ250
Ninja 300
Sv650s
GSXR 750
GSXR 1000
How the fuck do you start on a 1000 😂😂😂
Really glad I watched this. I daily a 300 dual sport and I constantly want more power and have been considering selling it, but when I walk out and see it I still become giddy and I'm to emotionally attached to sell. Maybe I'll do the two bike thing instead
did you keep it?
@@ShiestyTeige yeah I did. I now have a klx 300 and a wr426 lol
@@pandamoto That’s awesome bro it’s cool you held on to it
I've gotta wait til my 19th birthday before I can get my A2 licence (UK)... nearly 4 months on the bike and I've whacked 3k miles on my 125. Sucks having to wait, but looking to buy a CBR500R for the next bike!
The 500r is an awesome bike. Rode my friend’s and it was fun
Haha that's nuttin bro I only had my bike for about a month already put 3k miles on it. Is a cb125f
I love these types of videos
I started in a 2020 Ninja 400. I put 12,000 miles on it in 11 and a half months till i got t-boned in a intersection. Unfortunately i promised my parents i wont get on another bike. Almost lost my leg. Blacked out on impact.
Currently riding a 50cc moped lmao might aswell upgrade
Went from a 2018 SV650 to a 2018 Street triple 765R after a year.... no regrets
video starts at 2:45
yayyy! finally mention of the z400! i just bought one today!
Love your videos sir
My progress:
Yamaha DT50SM moped 50cc
Suzuki GS500E shithole
Suzuki Bandit 650 S (35kw)
Aprilia RSV 1000 2003
I've had my 650 for 3 years. And about to pay it off. Im disappointed he didn't say
"Yes you deserve that zx10R!"
Please don't buy your first vehicle of any kind on a down payment. It's the worst financial decision ever, especially on a motorcycle.
funny thing tho...I have ridden a bike down to the beach and into the water.
BOOOOSAH!
Nah. You don't need it. It makes you a lazy rider in my opinion
Great video. I think I got the message. I need a turbo Busa for my next bike! 😉
New rider on a kp mini 150cc having a blast learning and I’m gonna ride that dude into the dirt.
Metal rod in my leg gonna make it hard to go too big
I have always wanted faster bikes. Love that speed rush! Now that I have an MT10 I feel I'm good. Fast enough for this lifetime anyway.
Don't worry. You have unlimited lives.
My journey So far:
Got a Aprilia 125 at 16 put 10k km on it
Got an upgrade at 19. Bought a ninja 650. I put 20k km on that than upgrade 2 years later again with a bmw s1000r. I did 20k km on that as well and last Saturday I got my M1000RR. Planning to put at least 200k km on it before I get another bike
Lol good luck with that
Don't get ne wrong, the M1000 is an amazing bike, no doubt about it, but 200K km is too steep even for Japanese 00s bikes
Did you notice a difference between s1000r and m1000r?
@@broccoli-fn5406 bruh the position isn’t that bad. I did 200 km/125 miles in 3 days (it’s winter where I live so can’t go longer than city rides). I am optimistic in what I said
@@markusionescu3957 You said 200k km (200,000 km) that's a lot of distance lol
I went from a 50 -> 250 -> 400 -> 500 -> 650 -> 400 -> 125 (32000km though Africa) -> 950 -> 450 -> 125 -> 700
What’s the rush to get to the fastest bike out there?
Started with a 700 Tracer yamaha (but was like 26-27y old and after an extensive European mc-rider's exercise and exams) and changed 20.000km and 3y later for a 1000SX with now 8k km on the counter after 1y in covid quarantine.
Can't wait to do my actual first trip to another country next year if life permits.
I do miss the twin some times, the sound was different and you could be a little hooligan without getting yourself in jail. This 1000SX though... 120kp in first x.x
