    It is depending on that moment situation. At each time there is chices. Sometime one of blcok, middle court push, drive or lift can be the best option. You have to select the best shot at the moment. If opponent is very good at interception then lift could be the option. If opponent has got bog smash then block or middle court push can be the option. It is difficult to say which is the best. Lee

  • @coachingbadminton
    @coachingbadminton  13 лет назад

    @Bazigor500 Hi, Thank you for your comment and I will certainly put that in my mind to make more clips on where to smash to create chance for front partner to intercept. Thank you very much for your time and effort in posting your comment. Happy badminton. Lee

    In a match, there will be so many different siturations and players will choose the best possible option at each time depending on what is available and what is possible for them. Sometimes opponent may ready for intercept then it is better to lift to the corner. This is a tactic but you have to choose right time to use it considering all other factors. Lee

  • @coachingbadminton

    the best possible way to defense such smash will be flat push or drive to the middle court or to the rear court. That is why when you defence, you must be ready for forehand and backhand 50%/50% not 70% backhand and 30% forehand. Hope I have answered your question. Lee

    So straight is the most basic to perfect before using cross shot as a deception, this teaches me a lot

  • @coachingbadminton
    @coachingbadminton  11 лет назад

    Yes depending on where the shuttlecock is. I hope it works for you. Lere

  • @coachingbadminton
    @coachingbadminton  12 лет назад

    Ones you lose your balance and ones your position is not good so you are far to reach the shuttlecock then it is difficult to make good shot but you must try to do the best possible shot in that situation. That is why you have to find right place and be ready for all possible options in that situation. That is the level of play. Lee

    I think that is also a very area to smash. You should also look each player differently as thir posture will be different. Some may be ready for backhand side more then you should smash more to his forehand side. Lee

  • @coachingbadminton

    That is better then not practicing. There is always way to meet your embition. Of course feather is better but you can make your condition more beneficial. If you can control the prastic shuttlecock then you can control the feather so much better. So be positive and practice with it. Lee

    That means that he moves well and he has very good court awareness.
    Only way to do it is to make tight net play so his lift will be limited. You also should try to change the pace of your shot and your movement to break his steady and solid movement. Such kind of player is the one difficult to beat. and you have to work very hard to beat. Lee

    Hi coach! Im a big fan for more than 4years now. I know you are truly sincere in helping improve our badminton. May I suggest you consider improving the audio on your videos. It's kind of hard listening with all the background noise and echo. You could probably use a lapel mic or shotgun mic. But if its too much to ask, i would still watch every video you make. thanks a lot coach for everything!

    It is difficult as soon or later you have to smash to create chances. Of course deceptive clear, check smash, slice smash, fast movement at the net and drive can also create chances. you may try to develop middlecocurt and net speed and let your partner do power smash at the back is the solution. but try to improve your smash. Lee

    There are so many depend on to answer your question. You should go closer to the net if your partner smashes from about middle court as you expect weak return. but you should not go much to the net if your partner smashes from deep rear court. There are also depending on which side/how deep side and so on. your position and expectation will be different. So it is difficult to give you a simple answer. Lee
