    I am very pleased to know and thank you for letting me know. Which serve to do in singles is simple. Check your opponent with low, high and flick service and you know which serve he is good and bad to return and you use it. If he get used to your low service then you can change it to high. The answer is depending on your opponent. Lee

  • @coachingbadminton
    @coachingbadminton  11 лет назад +2

    Yes it is the situation when opponent has attack choices so when you have to cover the full court. Thank you for your comment. Lee

    That is a very good point. as level goes higher players will do more deceptions then you have to learn how to see the real action. I am going to make more deceptive shots clips and same time I will make clips how to see it. Please give me a little more time to make these clips. Lee

    TQ so much for this technique as it helps me a lot in my singles game now. I no longer easily get caught wrong footed by my opponent. Now i really enjoy the game as it's less tired if your footwork is right. TQ sir.

  • @coachingbadminton
    @coachingbadminton  12 лет назад

    Try this. 1. Make your impact poing in front of your body and hit clear more straight direction the cross. 2. sometime hit clear like smash (fast attack clear) 3. do not do full smash but do check samsh or fast drop shot 4. set determination to run more then him as what ever you do if he runs faster then you nothing will work. Above tacktical shots only work if both of your abilityy is similar but the key thing is move faster and prepare to do one more shot then him. Lee

    Great demonstration Coach Lee.
    Your videos are really helpful. About a year ago, i used to play poor. i even sprained my hand.
    But now with your help I've learned to play well. I've learned to smash and some backhands.I've seen korean professional playing and tried to imply their style and it helped.
    I just like to play for fun.I like badminton very much but I don't want to make a profession in it.
    So all I have to do is learn by playing myself against other competing players as I can't go for training :) ....So here comes your videos with excellent explanation which prove helpful.
    My biggest problem is covering the court as i get very tired and my heart starts beating rapidly.
    Once i told you that i got sprain in my hands and how can i smash better without spraining them and you said that if there could be any way so that you can see my playing style....here i've uploaded a video just for fun....If you could see my playing style and explain me where can i improve

      Hi Nitish
      I did see how you play. Your hitting is not bad.
      The things you could improve is footwork. Learn start steps, steps to each corners from the base.
      This will move your level to another level higher.
      By the way you are playing a very nice hall.
      Start to learn steps.

    1. Try to hit more infront of your body
    2. Try to hit with more wrist
    3. Your hitting action has to be done in front of your body
    4. You must hit with forward action not backward.
    Try to view the smash clips again and try one by one. I hope you findout how to hit clear and powerfull.

    Hi Lee, Ashwin from New Zealand here. I am a right handed player. I am playing a left handed player in singles and I am having trouble when he serves high and deep. Hitting a powerful smash works half the time but when I use a clear he easily pushes me around the court. Could you please give me tips on how and where the clears should be hit and how to be more deceptive. IMPORTANT: he is left handed and he keeps centre of court as base.

    Dear Coach, your videos have helped me improve my game a lot. I always watch a lesson before playing with my friends and they are amazed at the improvements that I am making.
    A question: Have you considered coaching students over internet, by getting video recordings from the student, and creating custom video lessons for the student based on the submitted video? I would very much like to get lessons from you that way.

      I am most pleased to know that you are enjoying my clips.
      Only problem about the way you ask me is that sometime I am not able to make clips for each players.
      I tried to do it but my available time to making the clips is the issue. I am sorry. Lee

    Hi coach Lee,
    I always learn something whenever I watch your videos.
    BTW can you give some instruction on how to improve the power of the clear. I always have problem and don't seem to have enough power to send the shuttle to the back no matter how hard I try. I think I am missing something in my stroke - some technique I am not doing right or what. I turn my shoulders I swing as hard as I can, I try to use my wrist more etc but still don't have enough power the clear to send the shuttle to the back.Most of the time I reach 3/4 court.

      I think there must be a reason or reasons why.
      Please record your hitting action and let me have the link then I will view it and let you know what I may find.
      That will be the best way to spot the reason/s. Lee
