Amanda, you have gold in front of you with this show! Once you get used to the strength of the accents, I'm sure you'll agree it's one of the finest sitcoms ever made.
i'm half scotts so got it straight away but yep one of the finest sitcoms , the greatest ones are the ones that are believable real life situations which still game has in abundance ,,, you will die laughing when you get to ,, back off ya spooky bitch ,, in the episode , one in one out .............
The final ever episode was a real tearjerker btw, I will admit to saying I cried my eyes out after watching it, it was really well done, I sobbed like a baby :'(
you have just opened the door to the most classical comedy series to come out of Scotland. It ran to nine series and it never grows old. To fully appreciate it, you have to react to full episodes, and more importantly start at the beginning - Series1-episode 1 !! It is like a fine wine, it gets much better with age ! You are in for a treat.
The one with Big Innes and Isa's Toilet ...I bet you will never ever see something like that on any other comedy show ....truly original and as funny as hell.
This was an absolutely brilliant show and ran for several series and always extremely funny, once you get into it you soon pick up what they are saying, the last episode was really sad as the inevitable happens when we get old, definitely worth watching the whole series.
This show is pure Scottish comedy gold. It's an amazing show and no one does bar banter like the Scots! You must watch this show. Like blackadder the final episode of the show will give you watery eyes and really hits you in the feels
So glad you are watching still game Amanda, pure class. Hatch is my favourite episode. Please continue with still game, I will wait with baited breath. 🤣🤣👍🏴
The guy who plays Boaby looks like Nick Cave 😅 plus, it's good to see you reacting to some Still Game, I've got the boxset! The Two Ronnies one was my favourite 😂 "It's 'Shut up, ya prick' fae me!" "And it's 'shut up, ya prick' fae him!" 😂😂😂
Scotlands best tv show , it has life skills in it . This is an education , please watch them you will not regret any of it , big inis and the jobby is class
Such a classic series, love it, and they nailed it. Aside from Jack and Victor, Winston is amazing throughout. S05E01 "Drama" love the one when Winston gets his own back on the bookie that did a runner.
Aye and then he ends up accidently kicking his false leg out the window at the end with all his money he got back stashed in it and losing it all again. 😂
You should watch or do Reactions to Still Game, just remember they are Scottish. The more Episodes you watch the more you realise you know or knew People just like the Charactors.
When they did the Two Ronnies one, it occurred to me that although you've reacted to the Two Ronnies, you've maybe not seen their whole show, which always ended with one saying "It's good night from me" and the other "And it's good night from him".
For billions of years since the outset of time Every single one of your ancestors survived Every single person on your mum and dad's side Successfully looked after and passed onto you life What are the chances of that like? From Edge of a cliff by the Streets So try to remember that life is a precious gift that should be enjoyed
I found still game when working in Edinburgh years ago. It’s a fantastic bbc classic. Cauld is still one of my favourite episodes but that are all awesome.
Sometimes it's not easy understanding the Scottish accent, and some of the phrases, but I could understand it, my brother explains some phrases to me he lives in Inverness, had me in stitches 😂that stream, hope you are doing OK amanda, all the best mark
Funnily enough being a native Glaswegian I always thought they slowed their accents down for a wider TV audience. I've lived in N.Ireland for 20yrs and still have my broad Glaswegian accent only I've had to do the same as Ford & Greg and slow it a little.😁 I've been reading the comments and they're spot on, this show is comedy gold, the best Scottish comedy of all time and as stated in the comments the final episode would bring tears to a glass eye.👍😂
I remember the day that I watched the demolition of the actual Ruchill Tavern /The Gimlet Pub (The Clansman) - it was a sad day! By the way, when Jack and Victor call Bobby 'Boaby' - this is actually Scottish slang for what you also know as 'Dick'.
You may not have understood some of it as some references were very British comedy characters. Like the Two Ronnies was a classic sketch comedy series presented by comedians called Ronny Corbett and Ronny Barker. Hence, the Two Ronnies. You should look them up, too. They are absolutely hilarious! 🤣 PS: I watch this show when I feel depressed and then I forget about all my woes! 😍😍😍
Yes, the final show rips your heart out…… The one where Craig Robertson the comedian, is an old famous Hollywood stuntman for the stars. But what happens later hurts a guy as well ….
i love still Game meet Tam Isa and Navid from this and there sutch nice people also seen still game live in Glasgow its great to see some americans react to it.
Youve opened a can of worms now Amanda...you have to go back to Ep1....might take you a few episodes to get the accent and understand that all the main characters are in their 30s and 40s playing older people. It is written only by the actors playing the 2 main characters of Jack and Victor, but they write great lines for all the characters. A US youtuber called bxkid17 watched the whole thing from start to end, ended up in the Scottish newspapers as a superfan and cried when it was all over, such the attachment to the show....go on Amanda
I’m guessing there were some other references that you might not have known… “goodnight from me, goodnight from him” was the close of every Two Ronnies show
The first few series are pretty consistently good. It gets poorer in the later ones because they lose a lot of the character-specific context. They're supposed to be old men and the comedy is supposed to be about them and their older friends contending with their typical lives in current day Glasgow. When they lose that focus on them being the older generation and the situations start to be random or contrived then it loses a lot. Still Game at its best was driven by the characters as much as the situations.
Scottish patter best in the world....having worked in the building game in Scotland all my life its just fantastic 😂😂 I once asked an old joiner if he had an old chisel his reply "aye son but she's at hame" 😂😂🏴
Still Game is a rare Gem that is good from start to finish, also if know one has has mentioned it the barman Robert = Bobby is also slang for… yes you guest it
As an older Scottish man I can tell you that a lot more of us are like Jack and Victor simply because we love Still Game. The case of the Tunnock's Teacakes cracks me up every time. 😊
Start from the beginning if your gonna try and watch this hilarious sitcom, just remember to wait till after the credits end, there's always a little bit extra that completes each episode
If you watch full episodes then make sure you watch after the end credits as there's always a scene at the end of every episode. Although Still Game is really worth watching.
There’s some good clips of the characters singing songs in the pub “The Clansman” that are really funny to watch. The line “two pint prick!” is instantly recognisable to everyone here in Scotland 😂 I had a guy in my team at work at one of the events I was working at who was Still Game daft. One of the other supervisors and I passed him one day to check in and he left us speechless when he greeted us with “look who it is; Condom and Dildo!” 😂
As a Scottish lass & having been to bars similar to this. Yes the grey brigade can be as bad or if not worse depending on the bar. I believe the US have lounge lizards & barflies? We definitely have those types. We have the sports bar lot & the grey grumblers. Mostly the grey grumbers. The barstool has conformed to my arse so it is mine types. My best friend & me are Jack (me im short) & Victor (my pal) loved the fact that they have funny names for the episodes. We even have the mugs to prove it. 😂
My faves were the Two Ronnies and Porridge, which most people won't know about. Also Black Adder because Hugh Laurie who played House was hilarious.. But Porridge was where it all started for me...
My favourite episode is "Big Yin", series 3, episode 4. Jack and Victor get their old friend Big Innes to clean up Craiglang of a gang of rowdy young neds.
Hi Amanda. That was so funny. Listening to your ancestors! haha! Did you get the Two Ronnies bit? brilliant, hope you enjoying this spell of sunny weather, Cheers Amanda😄😄😄
Hey Amanda, Paul from Scotland, try and react to the full episodes, you won't be disappointed, I believe still game is the only Scottish sitcom to make it across the pond
Brilliant series, a spin off from Chewin The Fat , another great comedy show from Scotland. Typical Scottish humour at it's very best. Jack and Victor will forever be Icons " Two pints prick" lol
I wouldn’t worry about not understanding what they’re saying, most of Scotland struggles to understand Glaswegians 😂😂😂 check out the pish pot episode, that kills me every time I watch it
Amanda from the Latin means (worthy of love ) and from Hebrew ( a gift from God) the name Rae as a surname is very well Kent in Scotland's border lands .
I found this complete series on one of the streaming services and would watch 3 or 4 episodes a night and got quite involved with the characters in the series BUT the last episode had me sniffing the tears back and that only happens when the dog dies
Still Game is worth watching from episode 1 right through to the end (that last show will give you a lump in your throat and welling up). I really did like the episode "The party" but they're all great. Then try Scotch and Wry, that's going to have you laughing too!
Amanda, you have gold in front of you with this show! Once you get used to the strength of the accents, I'm sure you'll agree it's one of the finest sitcoms ever made.

Some folk tried to suggest it's like a Scottish Last of The Summer Wine or Only Fools and Horses, it's vastly superior to the latter in my opinion!!😊
What chance would she have with Rab C Nesbitt?
The final ever episode was a real tearjerker btw, I will admit to saying I cried my eyes out after watching it, it was really well done, I sobbed like a baby :'(
Aye the final 3 mins😢😢
I know eh. Hope they bring out a prequel
Thanks for that a didnt need too cry tonight
I done the same
Same here 😢😢😢
This is what Scots are like in general, some of the best banter I’ve ever had is from (in no particular order) Scots, Mancs, Geordies and Scousers.

The Vital Spark, the Steamie...
There are loads. It's the BBC; they try not to commission anything North of Watford.
I've lost count how many times I've watched still game front to back. Best TV show ever made. Gives an accurate image of Scottish humour lol 👍
Would LOVE if you did the full episodes. It's an incredible show. I'd watch for sure.
YESSSSS!! Full episode reactions 🎉🎉🎉
As a Scottish lassie still game is brilliant and a defo must watch 😂😂😂😂
Don't think it translates to the non Scottish that well.
Back aff ya spooky bitch ha😂😂
Aye it’s a good crack like
You should have a look at the Still Game episode called 'Courtin'.
Jack and Voctor go on a date
@@bobiator1hopefully the lass doing this reaction doesn’t go into her local and ask for a pint of guiness
Still Game has lots of characters, the relationship between Navid and his wife Meena, or indeed Navid's character in general is so funny.
HERE SUSAN WINSTONE IS SOME LAUGH THE BANTER 👍
Best British comedy EVER, even better than Only fools and horses imho, it's my all time fave anyway :)
I agree....you just can't chose a favourite character...they all have great parts
Completely agree
I disagree, but it's a close second. Only by a whisker though
@petergilmartin2906 OFAH,s has some classic scenes, but Still Game is laugh a minute comedy....much better
More of a Scottish comedy than British. As took awhile for it to be shown in england
Each episode has such a great story, always both funny and touching.
The one with Big Innes and Isa's Toilet ...I bet you will never ever see something like that on any other comedy show ....truly original and as funny as hell.

Brilliant seeing a American reacting to Scottish Humour as a Scotsman
As a scotsman a like the fact you recated too this and still game is a must watch quotes are a must

So glad you are watching still game Amanda, pure class. Hatch is my favourite episode. Please continue with still game, I will wait with baited breath. 🤣🤣👍🏴
As a Londoner I love Scottish and northern English humour, the insults are verbal gems 💎 just like a verbal kick in the bollocks. ❤
Absolutely andy 💯‼👍
I'll translate for the Scot's a kick in the bollocks is a kick in the baw's or stains.
@@24magiccarrot 🤣👍

So glad you have got to still game, The best comedy show since Only Fools and Horses.
Amanda, it was nice to hear the snort laugh make an appearance. It was a very good sitcom.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 funny and great lines. Thanks Ms Amanda. A good laugh to start the week.
One of the best sitcoms ever along with father ted and only fools and horses ...absolute comedy gold

Hello from here in Scotland, you'd shed a tear at the very final episode of Still Game extremely well done.
Your going down a rabbit hole with this. So many series and so much humour. Watch them all.
I'm English through and through but I need the subtitles....one of the best shows ever...
