Great interview. Ross is right. Analytics MUST consider momentum. IMHO teams that have coaches who watch the games & have well drilled plays for 4th down situations are the difference in analytics. A bad team can drag down the numbers where a good team can boost them. A head coach who knows the realistic capabilities of his team is the deciding factor because players, not numbers don’t execute plays.
