- Kathmandu is a crazy but charming city that has been hit hard by an earthquake in 2015. We've travelled to Nepal and Kathmandu was the first city to visit. We did some shopping in the famous Thamel area, got to the Durbar Square and went to the Swayambhunath Temple for the best view of the city!

sorry for all the suffering you had in kathmandu. we also want it to be clean and pollution free,the all sort of wiring should be under grounded ..better road and lovely hospitality to the tourist..any many more things that we lack..thought after so much suffering during this few years we all want kathmandu to get back to beautiful shape asap..thanks for visiting and loving Nepal.

Thank you Hugo and Noemie for your vlog from Kathmandu! I wonder what your travel route was from Sri Lanka to Kathmandu. I thought it would be colder in Nepal but that must be more in the mountains. I looked up the weather forecast for Kathmandu and it was stating 27^C, 28^C and a low of 17^C overnight. Here in Nova Scotia we had a low of 1^C overnight and it has warmed up to 7^C so we are much colder. Lots of overhead power lines in Kathmandu! Great vlog! Thank you! Thumbs up!
Hey Mike! We didn't vlog through our journeys. We wanted to do this more, but we've got so much gear and luggage with us that sometimes it's just too much. We took a flight from Colombo to Kathmandu with a stop in Oman. It is indeed a bit colder than Sri Lanka but during the day it is still very hot as summer is starting. We're actually thinking of going beyond Asia and also exploring the beauty of Canada this year, so who knows we'll be in Nova Scotia!

Kathmandu is one crazy, chaotic city.Though it looks messed up at first,there are beautiful,peaceful places that you can find with exotic temples,shrines and beautiful smiles of people.To be positive i would say organized chaos.And to be honest the cables,roads that you looking its because of unmanaged unstable corrupt government,i hope they will see your video and do some improvement but remember - corrupt government officials kkkk,anyways visit the place like baudhanath,sigal,swoyambhu aka monkey temple, bhaktapur,patan, dhulikel,ason bazar as well do some research before you visit NePAL,i recommend to stay in kathmandu for like 3 to 4 days and head up to pokhara or mountain places or lukla,mustang :)

that's all dust from road construction and water supply pipeline , they are digging now everywhere and almost all street ..we need to wait more one and half year to clean ..

Kathmandu itself is a beautiful city with full of historical and holy places but yet this city is so massy. Government of Nepal and Nepalese people who lives in ktm should be really ashamed for not keeping their city cleaned and organized.
They are working on it and as it is some of the poorest countries in the world, this is a longer proces. Also they have been struck by the terrible earth quake. However they are working hard on it (the people) and we just hope the government will provide them the support they need.
