Great segment fellas. I tell the haters to kick rocks. First time i let my hair grow i had to cut it because i was in my buddies wedding and his fiancé asked him if I was going to cut my hair. After that I promised myself to let my mane ride. Its been five years since I cut my hair. It has history: its been with me during a job loss, three job promotions, a pandemic, bought my first home, and the passing of my dad due to cancer. Truly a warriors locks of struggle and victories.

Had a doctors appointment the other day and was pleasantly surprised when the nurse who called me back commented on how much she liked my long hair. I haven’t gotten any haters yet though, guess I’ve been lucky.

I was walking through the warehouse where I work, carrying some large metal tools I use to make synthetic shackles for emergency vehicles. I have hair past my shoulders and I'm a bit "husky". My supervisor called me aside and told me I look like a fucking Dragon-Slayer (with the hair). Best compliment EVAH!!!

My family always teased me when ever I tried to grow it long, I barely got to my shoulders but it was super shaggy and I often was told I looked like a “surfer from cali” or … a “stoner”. I wish I just ignored everyone’s opinion and just grew it out when I wanted to. I’m now 27, but growing it out since pretty much the pandemic hit and now it’s past my shoulders about to my chest and I’m very happy the way it looks. I feel more confident and masculine than I did when I had short hair.

When was the last time you changed someone's opinion by disagreeing or arguing with them? That never works for me. Just say "thanks", move on and don't let it bug you.

Love the points about masculinity and peoples assumptions. I had a crazy experience a couple years ago. I used to walk to and from work every day, and on a day in the fall, when it was pretty warm out, I was walking the seven or so blocks back through the main downtown Area where I live, and a guy came up behind me and put his arm around me in a really weird like flirty sort of way. Obviously, I kind of stopped, and he took one look at my face and freaked out, assuming that I was a woman, he must’ve thought that that was something that was acceptable to do, but upon realizing I was not, he freaked out, apologized and walked away. I said nothing, because I think the fear hopefully taught him a valuable lesson in assumption.

@@TheWatcher_82 I have a beard now, I’m pretty physically active, but I wouldn’t say I am a huge guy or anything like that, and it hasn’t really happen very often since. It was just amazing to me that that was seen as acceptable.

I understand where you're coming from. Growing up I thought long hair is for girls,but i then realize that whoever said that is ignorant and sexist. Long hair doesn't have to be a female thing,long hair has no gender. It doesn't have to be masculine or something. Anybody can have it no matter what happens every day.

When it comes to guys who have long hair, when someone is dealing with long hair haters, they don’t like it, or gets negative comments about your long hair, it’s on them.

I have people hating on me/my hair so bad that it's become personal for them, they're in competition with me! Idk why but People are hilarious with their ways but I let them do them. I have the ability to grow long hair (for a guy) and I won't take it for granted and certainly will laugh at the haters trying to force me to succumb to their insecurities 😂😂😂😂

Most of my heroes have long hair! I love how feels when the wind blows it, it helps keep me warm (like ear muffs and a scarf) I'm 38yrs most of my friends can't grow there hair and most of the comments are from bald food lol

I’ve got my fare share of haters comments through life. I’ve had buzzcut, mohawk, dreadlocks, “normal” long hair and everything between. Now I’m in it for the third time with long hair because it’s this hairstyle that makes me feel the best in so many ways that I cannot even describe. But the biggest feeling in my chest that I got when I see myself in the mirror is proud. I’m so damn proud of myself that I stand out out of the norm and that I never let bullies push me down! I love this hairstyle and it’s for me only. So for everyone out there doubting if it’s the right thing to let it ride, if it’s for you then go for it! You will be so proud of yourself when it’s at the length that you want it to! And your confidence will grow with the length of your hair! Stay 💪

I'm still learning to love myself and figure out the true me at 30.....part of it has turned into this hair growth journey and I've never felt more myself ...I've heard it from my parents but frankly, I chock it up to 2 things.
1 my dad's been balding since 40
2 they have no control.

This video was quite upsetting, the comments that you’ve both gotten was really horrible! Also, everyone in the comments who’s had negative comments…your hair is yours and it’s on your body! My parents have asked when I’m gonna get it cut and my wife has recently, and my answer is ‘not yet. I’m growing it.’ That’s it. I’m not changing for anyone. I’m quite lucky that no one’s commented in a negative manner at all.
I think our loved ones just want the best for us so much that they forget to consider what we actually want/like.

I think when people find issues with long hair when there are literally millions upon millions of serious issues going on in the world, it just makes you think is my hair really an issue compared to what’s going on out there lol. It’s just ridiculous.

I don't advise a haircut, man. All hairdressers are in the employment of the government. Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight

That’s a good video you made. It’s really common with guys with long hair that get negative comments about their long hair, not positive comments, they don’t like it, or it looks bad on them. My best advice is when a guy has long hair, and someone comments on it that is negative, one is ignore them and walk away and don’t say anything back because it’s gonna make it worse, second is say to that person back “I’m sorry that you don’t like my long hair, I like it long, and it’s my body, it’s my hair, I like it this way, I can do whatever I want with it”, third is when someone tells you to cut it, you can say to that person “it’s fine if your having a problem with it, it’s on you, it’s not my problem, it’s your problem”, fourth is “that’s not very nice to say a mean comment about my hair or say something nicer next time”. Fifth is I don’t care what those people have to say about my long hair that is negative when they have a problem with it. Those are my best tips and advice with guys who have long hair how to handle mean comments about their hair.
And again, it’s not your problem guys, it’s their problem like strangers, people that you don’t know, or haven’t met that don’t like your long hair. 👍🏻🤔😐🙄
I was told my hair was not manly once and I said it’s not manly sitting in a beauty parlor gossiping every 2 weeks.
