WHAT WE ARE BUILDING: We are building a secure online portal for you to choose from an experts selection of promising gem material that can be further improved and re-shaped into your preferred shape while you watch your selection being cut and formed from start to finish. From the Rockefeller Sapphire to the Alan Caplan Ruby, we've shaped - and we continue to shape - gemstone history and now for the first time select gems will be signed as we document their cutting progress just for you on the Cushion Gem website.
WHO WE ARE: Cushion Gem founder Richard Orbach (CEO, CherryPicked) is a serial creator who always pushes the envelope using innovative technology and real-world gemstone trading expertise to offer his clients extraordinary value. Activity centers around the famed Reginald C. Miller lapidary workshop where owner, artist and master cutter Jerrold Green leads his team of cutters in forming gems based on historic carriage trade standards not practiced elsewhere. To uphold these high standards in our on-premises gem-imaging laboratory Dr. Ronnie Xu, GG - Senior Commissioning Gemologist - combines gemological passion with scientific acumen forming the core of Cushion Gem's team.
