I've been to a LOT of concert and the ELO show I went to a couple years ago was easily in my top 5. Everyone should go see them if they have the chance, they have their live shows down to an art form and they may be the only band I've found that they sound better live than they did on the albums. Even in his early 70s, Jeff Lynn absolutely killed it.

One of their classics in "Roll Over Beethoven"--which is actually a Chuck Berry cover. It's an eight-minute rollercoaster that's worth a reaction. A unique song that also worth a listen: "Rockaria"--a combination of opera and rock.

Hey, I love these two and their dynamic is so fun but, given how little they still seem to understand the artists and music that they present, they do little more than watch, comment, and move on to the next song. Another suggestion ... Have you guys ever heard of this German music production group - called Kraftwerk?. They were pioneers in electronic cold tech vibe underground music.
They were asked to colab by many big music stars - including Michael Jackson - but they would never agree to that.
This track is almost like a challenge was layed down for them - "Can you make a tune made up of entirely electronic "found sounds" from the real world and still make it funky to listen to?" Listen specifically to this YT video "Kraftwerk - The Telephone Call / House Phone"
Another good one by them was this one "Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Express (1977)." Ironically, it was played on some African-American R&B channels -like WWRL 1600 AM Band- NYC - back in the day.

Back in the early to mid seventies and on, they, that is bands and producers, were starting to transition between full analog and synthesizer Moog. Pink Floyd wasn't the only one doing a Mega amount of experimentation. To that you can also add persons of musical genius who went out on a limb, Such as Jeff Lynn from ELO, ELP, YES, Todd Rungren, Alan Parsons, From the Alan Parsons project and also much production for people like Pink Floyd and Kate Bush...
It was sort of a Renaissance , and A big switch up from the past.
Speaking of Allen Parsons and also that you too seem to like to be taken on a musical or instrumental journey, I would recommend you do Alan Parsons project "I Robot", From the late 1970s.

Absolutely fabulous how you're digging ELO. Love that! I've been listening to them for decades. The short musical interlude you hear in the beginning is the bridge between Evil Woman and its predecessor on the album Face The Music, a song called Waterfall which is one of my absolute favourites and no one who likes ELO should miss.
    Cheers from somewhere in Germany.

Glad you enjoyed my favourite song. "Mr Blue Sky" and "Last Train To London" are good but this goes up a notch. The piano, guitar, strings, backing vocals and Jeff's vocals everything is flawless 🎧🎶👍
