Camry Rebuild PT5 Balance Shaft delete | Oil pan install

Hey everybody, in this part we're gonna be closing the balance shaft oil feed hole on the engine block and officially installing the oil pan without the balance shaft, sealing the bottom end. I thank you so much for watching and following the build till now.

Good going, subscribers are up! Removing the balance shafts lets the engine rev quicker, noticible with the 2.0 and 2.2

That shaft was just too heavy. I don't think I'll mind the extra NVH that comes with it. Vehicle is well damped so I don't think we'll have a problem 😅

Thanks for,the video 👍 Just picked a used engine for a 97 Camry and was thinking of deleting the balance shaft. Did you noticed the difference?

Engine felt much lighter and fuel efficiency increased as well

How is the vibration now when it's idling ? is it bad?

Not at all hey. Tolerable and almost unnoticeable because the camry is generally a comfortable car

Did you hammer in that rivet or just glue it in with rtv?
