On this video, I do a complete walk around of my new Yoder Frontiersman offset smoker. This smoker is huge and I cant wait to start smoking on it. Thanks for watching Smokin Joe
Love your channel! I just brought back a almost-never used Yoder Frontiersman III on a 21' tandem-axle trailer with two grill and two gas burner situation. Beautiful piece of equipment. Mine is flat gray, so yours is WAY prettier. I can't wait to fire it up!
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ Did you change your grates? Your newer videos show them in all black. Moreover, will you please provide the specs? I am at the Yoder website and would like to order one exactly like yours.
I had mine on a tandem axle trailer built the same inside as yours is but had to give it up because I just couldn't use it for what I needed to do. I liked the way it cooked everything, it was just hard to utilize the bottom grates all together because they dont slide out. I am surprised to see that they still build them this way . I had the temp control system too believe me I didn't have to pull it open too far to even out the temp left to right. Anyway congrats on your new Yoder.
One thing I would check out your tool drawer when you’re using the smoker put a temperature gauge down there see how hot it gets if they get good and warm or hot put a great down there to make it as a warmer but still be able to put your tools in there afterwards my suggestion I love that congratulations that is awesome my new dream smoker ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s an awesome smoker man, never would’ve pictured it looking like that. It’s freakin clean man. Enjoy the food, and I hope you enjoyed your trip to the middle of the map! Glad you made it safe
Joe, that thing is awesome... Very proud for you. Can't to see this beast in action. Since you took that thing to TX I am burning in my OK Joe Bronco so I can try it out tomorrow on a couple racks of Baby Backs.... Congrats Joe...
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ Being Disabled and living at a apartment I have to keep my stuff small. 3 webers, 1 chairbroil gasser n a chairbroil charcoal, OK Joe Highland and now the bronco. Nice, oh yeah that is a heck of a cooker. Congrats It’s time to make some awesome Q now. I hope that one day I can get a beautiful offset as well as that rig. Keep up the good work and glad to see your channel is growing. I’ll be back in El Paso on Friday for the weekend. Hope your weekend will be smoking.
Smokin' Joe's Pit BBQ Good deal I’m gonna be doing some yard cleaning and garage cleaning. Well at least I’m going to get to spend some time with my girlfriend and the family. Will be going to see Gabriel Iglesias on Saturday evening. I have 2 and maybe 4 tickets that I need to sell. Last minute cancellation.
Now that's a nice pit Joe.. Love the functionality of it too.. I'm looking to get a ss sign made up for my pit and was wondering if you could lead me to the same company that cut yours logo out.. Thanks
I had to re watch cause I was only listening before. (was driving). But that’s awesome honey. Good luck and congrats. Can’t wait to see you do your thang on it! It’s a beautiful bouncing baby boy.. weighing in at only 3k! Haha 😆 Thx for sharing your new baby with us honey. Loved it!!! 🙌🏻🔥🔥🔥❤️
Hello Micah, so sorry for the late response. I sold my El Rey almost a year ago to make room for this beast. Is it Rick's on the Westside of town? Rick's tanks I think is the name. If so. I've met them before. 🤘
For those that don't know; 3,100 pounds is the weight of a small car. This is serious grill/smoker. How do you baste or manage the food on the bottom when you have food on the top shelves?
Question Joe: did you have your Yoder delivered and if so, did the Fed-Ex guy wait for you to unpack and check it out before you signed the bills like Yoder suggests? Reason for the ask, I Have a Cimarron stick burner coming from KS mid August...
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ I've worked in the transportation industry all my life and they usually get aggravated when asked to do that.. Just wondered. Would have done what you did but with the way fuel is and motel and such I figured I made the right decision now days getting it delivered... I'm just west of Ft Worth. Thank you for your reply...I subscribed and looking forward to your videos..
I am considering purchasing this same smoker and have been doing a lot of research. I came across someone else’s video suggesting that the insulated firebox upgrade lowers the flavor quality because it was “too efficient”. Do you have any thoughts on this?
There is absolutely no truth to that. The fact that you have an isolated firebox means you'll run efficient and not burn through wood like crazy. Instead of the heat being absorbed by the outside air, it's forced to go through the smoker which means you'll use less wood. 👍🏼
Thank you smokin joe. I typically run a BGE which I think is incredibly efficient and have never had any issues with flavors or smoke. That being said I haven’t ran a traditional stick burner in years and I was beginning to wonder if there was something I was missing.
Brother Joe that smoker is absolutely beautiful! Congrats on your new smoker! You got rid Of Veronica sooooo What’s this pits name! Looks to much like a beast to have a girls name😎 you should have a name your smoker contest!

That is an amazing smoker, big Yoder fan here, I have a 640s and love it. Looking for an offset, what are your thoughts on the stack not being at grate level? Thanks!
Hello Vincent. This smoker is built with tuning plates so the stack being up high is perfect. I can also cook with the damper open which turns this smoker a top down (heat wise) and the exhaust placement hasn't been an issue. Which offset are you looking at?
Smokin' Joe's Pit BBQ I am really considering the kingman on a comp cart. The only issue is that i live in NY and the shipping is very expensive. Also looking at LSG verticals, for what ever reason the shipping seems to be cheaper despite weight similarities.
MOTHER TRUCK! SON OF A BISCUIT!! LMAO!! dang brother. yes sir. and yes the camera does it justice. do you have 20's on that thing. oh they 10's but you keep them clean. lol. if you get that reference?? But why fat cap up? just depends on which way the heat is coming from. right? That is just fantastic brother!! congrats! HAHAHAHA i was thinking transformer and you said it!
