Demoman vs the Iron Bomber fix (15.ai TF2 Gmod animation)

After years being the best grenade launcher in the game, the Iron Bomber was finally fixed.
Which is sad for Demomains like me, but good since it means Valve is not only working on the bot crisis, but they're also fixing other things.
Just a short video before I finish my next main video, Gmod kept crashing for some reason but now I'm saving animation and everything constantly, still lost a bunch of progress tho x.x
Anyway, hope you folks like it, here's all the music used in the video.

Basically how I feel about Shield crits going from "Crash to get a Crit" to "Go far enough to Crit"

Yea, I think having to go far enough to get a crit makes it a more circumstantial kind of item. Sometimes you can't reposition yourself too, having the player crash to get a crit was more of a skill requirement, since missing the target or missing the time window for the crit would be the player's fault, not something out of their control.

Before you would have to figure out a out but now you can stay out of crit range and try to beat a Demoknight or weaken him enough to flee.

I think they nerfed it like this after they introduced the Tide Turner right? Because Demoknights were able to bounce from one target to the other.
Pulling that off was fun as hell and I still think they could've balanced it without making the DemoPinball less viable.

I know it's not much but I always liked the higher explosion radius on Stock.

I used to be pretty competent with the Stock grenade launcher, then I started using the Iron bomber and got used to it, now that they fixed it I can't land a single shot XD
I still think the Iron Bomber is more consistent, because the grenades stay in place when they hit the ground instead of rolling around like the Stock grenades.

To be honest, I think the TF2 devs should make it so the collision boxes match the damned models for once.

Yeah I'm in that boat too. I find it rediculous that the different grenade types all use the same tiny Hitboxes. Like come on, seriously? A lot of people used the iron bomber yeah, but I would think it's because it felt more reliable to hit things with because the damn grenade actually had a hitbox that covered the whole model. Now we don't even have that anymore.
Honestly if Demo's different primary projectiles all had different Hitboxes matching their model shapes and sizes, I think it would balance him out better.

I agree with you, but they'd have to change the Loose Cannon cause the model size for the bombs is frakin huge xD.
I actually used to think the Loose Cannon had a bigger hitbox and played with it a lot back in the day lol.

Idk why but it reminded me of Machine Attacks Rocket Launcher with 200% Explosive Radius and how you can rocket jump and wipe out a entire group of bots.

Imagine scouts not being that much of a threat to a semi-decent Demo equipped with only their primary and a shield. That's how strong it was xD.
Basically, easier to hit your target, it honestly felt like a straight upgrade compared to stock.

It honestly did feel cheap at times, but I think the stock hitbox size is way too small, I think they should make all grenade hitbox sizes something between old Iron bomber and stock.
That's why so many people use the stickybomb launcher as their primary, cause it's harder to do much with the grenade launcher imo.

The hit box is actually around 5x bigger, which translates to +400%, still never used the damn thing bc outside of the bigger hit box it was stock but with WAY worse rollers

the iron bomer would be a good weapons to demo man that can kill just one one hot total damage of demo man the bomer can shot but flys to there Target they have 50 to 40 sec to remove them if they don't they are screwed

It's just as good (or bad, depending on your point of view) as the default Pipe Bomb launcher now, more of a side grade now, as it was originally intended I suppose.
