You know guys... Those of you in the comments endlessly guessing what is it that's wrong with him, whether he's irritated with questions, or tired, or having troublesome private life. You know what? He's just an actor, similar to Cillian Murphy, or Harrison Ford, who isn't doing backflips over an interview, wagging his tail like an excited puppy and flirting incessantly like pretty much all the other actors do, whom you are so bloody used to seeing and hearing that you can't imagine people speaking and behaving in any other way. Harvey sounds calm, analytical, reserved and his throat hurts. Seriously, do you all have to suppose a person is going through a hard time simply because they're not conforming to your idea of having a conversation with all your expectations of vomit-inducing pleasantries and light-hearted flirtations? Get a clue.
I agree with much of what you've said. He just felt like a person going through an interview he really didn't sign up for because he probably had no choice. I prefer interviews like this because they are good reminders that the actors and characters we get obsessed with are just humans living their lives like the rest of us.
I think he is physically tired. He is just as tired of talking about the movie for the hundredth time. He says it clearly: -the film dates back a year and a half earlier; -and he also says that an actor plays all kinds of roles -and that he is happy to move forward with his career and to work in films as on theater stages.
She’s being very sweet, very polite, very admiring, trying to keep a light atmosphere and he is doggedly obtuse, disagreeable, and pompous. He knows what she’s getting at and shows no courtesy or compassion to it. People can say he’s tired and all the rest of it but the fact is it doesn’t take much in the way of effort to just be a bit kinder and not take yourself so incredibly seriously. How you behave when you’re not feeling your best can speak volumes about someone.
(Not here to fight. Just giving my input.) She does seem genuinely impressed by the performance and movie. I feel like to be fair though, she did come out and seemed to offend him immediately by presuming that because he acted in the nude in The Piano that he would pose for a photoshoot to be on the cover of a magazine. I don't think their conversation ever recovered from that awkward interaction. He put some walls up and her facial espression in the second half also reads as very disinterested or just not connecting on a philosophical level. I get the feeling that she enjoyed the movie as entertainment and a love story, but Harvey is more into the art of performing and quality of vision. He still answered her questions, but not every interview is going to work. The interview with Holly Hunter was also a strange interaction imo. End of the day just two very different people that just didn't seem to vibe. That's my take at least.
Yeah she was very polite and respectful but Harvey seemed intent on derailing the interview. It seemed like he just didn’t wanna be there. And I think Harvey Keitel is one of the best actors of all time. He could’ve played along a little better.
I think people are so obssesed with the " nude " in scenes ... I myself think he answered in a very ellegant way . The reporter was really boring and anoysing ... ! ...
Wow. I think he spends an awful lot of time in his own head. It seems hard for him to think in ways outside of that. I know I didn't say that well but that's what it seemed like to me.

Está película captó la esencia de como una mujer se enamora , y como debería hacerlo un hombre!
I guess this was the 327th interview about nudity and he got irritated.

Never should have mentioned that magazine cover.
She ceald her feat ther.
Harvey’s attitude chainged from ther on.
omg she is painful
Harvey seems irritated with her questions.
hes just a philisophical dude, he's answering not just on behalf of himself but his ideological stance
Lorraine Bracco must have been driving him insane around this time..
Why
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc There's articles online about their divorce. It was not amicable.

I wished at the end he snuffed her out with that square orange pillow and yelled somethin' like "I'M PROUD OF THIS TOO!!"

Me encanta él, pero me parece muy mal educado que esté rechupeteando el caramelo.

Weird guess
I think he does not like her.
it's the questions she be asking , like the nudity
I always really liked him. I didn't realise what a pretentious prat he is
why?
@Chinaski just thought he came over too serious. End of tbe day. All actors do is pretend.
@Chinaski Anthony Hopkins. Christian Bale etc. Think they're actually important. 🤔
@@sheronasims6783 You mentioned him on a video that has nothing to do with him so seems pretty fucking important to me lol.
