Eating MUST with hand isn’t related with islam. Cleanliness is an important part of Islam. Allah says “God loves those who keep themselves clean,” in Quran. Also “Cleanliness is half of faith,” the Prophet said in one of his well-known hadiths.---- So as I said it can be a tradition I don’t really know in your cultures. Also It is okay if you eat something with hand unless your hands are clean. Please do not mix Islam and any other religion with traditions.

Hi Dale, we do not eat with our hands in Turkey. We are not India or Arab country. The paper package to the right of the table contains forks, spoons and knives. In terms of hygiene, many restaurants leave the services in the package after washing and leave it on the table. When I saw this video, I thought that you did not fully understand our food culture. I was very sorry. We look forward to seeing you again in Turkey. My sister has lived in Istanbul for 30 years from Scotland, so I've been there many times staying for months at a time. A few points, the drink is called Ayran and it's Yogurt, water and salt. Remember it was the Turks who invented Yogurt. The guy should have told you about the knife and fork for the rest of the plate, the bulgar and salad etc. Or at least you should have figured it out. Turks don't eat with their hands, it's not India. Except to tear the bread and add the meat. That's kind of rude there and would be seen as kinda backwards to do it. The spicy sauce was to put on the Kebabs. The best type of Kebab in Istanbul is called Iskender Kebab, you should go for that sometime. Oh and WATP.
I am a Turk (born and raised) and we definitely eat with our hands in the kebab shops (just not the bulgur)! That's why nobody gave weird stares. The spicy sauce is actually for eating with bread. You and your sister should definitely mix in with locals more time to get acquinted with the culture.

I really recommend you to try Kunefe(The desert). And if you are vegetarian, turkish kitchen is for you. We have food with rice and pasta and you will see pastry works at shops. All of these are good.
But I must warn Kunefe includes cheese so if you are not eating any kind of animal and its products then it has cheese inside.
As a Turk, we love your respect for us. Bir Türk olarak bize olan saygınızı seviyoruz🤗…
Hey Dale bon appetite! Turkish people don't prefer eating foods with hands. It's an Arab tradition I guess. Have a nice trip!
This is nothing to do with Arab traditions it’s sunna when you eat by hand in Islam ☪️
@Her bijî kurdistan Testes better with hand ✋
Eating MUST with hand isn’t related with islam. Cleanliness is an important part of Islam. Allah says “God loves those who keep themselves clean,” in Quran. Also “Cleanliness is half of faith,” the Prophet said in one of his well-known hadiths.---- So as I said it can be a tradition I don’t really know in your cultures. Also It is okay if you eat something with hand unless your hands are clean. Please do not mix Islam and any other religion with traditions.
@@Zhangzhi123 By your logic, living in desert is also sunnah
@@Zhangzhi123 Arab traditions are suited for desert climate.
Bro do you think Turkish people use their hands to eat? Did you think It's India or Saudi Arabia? There were a fork next to you😂
Let him eat however he likes, fuck tradition and fuck religion, as long as no one else is watching, you can eat using your feet

I live in Turkey and this is making me hungry
The best kebabs and desserts are to die for!
The walk up too Galata hammers the oul legs
At least yer man has strong ones
Great to see favorite two vlogers in same video 🤩❤️
Hi Dale, we do not eat with our hands in Turkey. We are not India or Arab country. The paper package to the right of the table contains forks, spoons and knives. In terms of hygiene, many restaurants leave the services in the package after washing and leave it on the table. When I saw this video, I thought that you did not fully understand our food culture. I was very sorry. We look forward to seeing you again in Turkey. We have many beautiful cities; Nevşehir (Cappadocia), Mardin, Trabzon, Rize, Aegean and Mediterranean coasts for sea vacation (Antalya, Kaş♡, Fethiye, Marmaris, Bodrum, Datça....)
Brilliant stuff. Lol, that was so funny you thinking that dessert was for you Dale :) Ibek was a great host who you could see wanted the best of service for you two guys. Well done dale m8.
Had those kunefe a few times in a turkish restaurant in Singapore. They are my all time favourite dessert.

That food looks amazing !! I want to try that dessert so bad !!
Thank you ❣️🇹🇷
I love Istanbul! I can’t wait until I can bring my kids to this beautiful city. Plus, I want to eat $4 kebabs!

Dale, if you come to Turkey one day, I would like to show you around Ankara. There are beautiful historical places in Ankara.
Wow, i’m impressed with the cleeness of the street 💪💪💪💪
What a fine spread. The Indian style of hand to mouth eating is very addictive. The best of both worlds where Asia meets Europe. I think the dude with the durry was more confused about the ownership of that dessert than you were. Great stuff Dale!
this is desi style india pakistan arab afghanistan bangladesh etc
@@MSalmanAlvi Yeah, it's great. I love it.
But turkish ppl dont eat rice with hands
Turkish people don't eat rice with hands.
@@popculture8196 You misunderstood me. I was writing about Dale using the Indian style of eating for this meal. I did not say it was the Turkish style of eating. I am a native English speaker and I think you missed the nuance of my comment.
👍🏼👍🏼😍 For the eyes and smile of your waiter, Ibek! Dale, you always meet the best people everywhere!!
High quality vlog as always.
Food looks delicious BTW
I love your vlogs because you always remember India in any place ..
34:20 It is cheese in goat skin (or lamp skin). It is a thousands years culture of keeping cheese. You can save cheese in that skin for years and it doesn't go off.
no one eats with hands in turkey mate
Great video! One of the best meals I ever had was a takeout doner kebab from Hissoronu, it's completely different to what we get in the UK. So good!!
What they serve in Europe is doner made by minced meat, however real doner should be prepared by antrykot :)
Bro Künefe İş Very Good I think Esat künefe
51 TL tip for a 149 TL check, staff will definitely remember you when you're back 😀you know there's no requirement to tip in Turkey like US etc... Only if you liked the food or service, generally we leave something like %10-15. Your %30 tip means "insanely liked" which is normal as we watched your delightful meal 😉
Tavsiyeleriniz için teşekürler usta, gurbetçi olarak yakında gelmeyi düşünüyorum, bu rakamları öğrenmek iyi oldu 🙂

Big thumbs up for Luke watching Dale eat and keeps filming :p
Next to the plate on which you are eating is a long, dark yellow closed paper. It has a fork and a knife in it. If you had noticed, you wouldn't have been eating rice with your hand. Don't people ever ask or look around where the cutlery is. By the way, cutlery is not out because they are hygienic.
That’s exactly how I want to eat when I go to a restaurant. Brilliant.
Lol I was killing myself when you almost sat down and ate that guys dessert 🤣 I mean it seemed obvious watching, but I'm sure in the moment it was super confusing! Food looked amazing 👍💯
Yeah ., Because that guy told him that they can shoot them preparing as well..poor Dale got confused and it is common .. there was miscommunication ..
I thought he was asked to sit down too xD

Don't tell me you & your sister ate Kebabs 🍢, shwarmas with knife and fork 🍴 for 30 god darn years !!!
@@forefatherofmankind3305 Do you not understand you use the knife and fork to cut the meat and pick up the salad which you put into the bread you are holding you moron. The end part you use your hands with. THese were plated Kebabs. Use your brains. You don't tear Kofte meat with your hands, nor do you pick up Salad which has dressing on your hands. Did you see Dale's hands at the end? Doner and Kebabs that are in paper and already made you 100% use your hands with. As they are a type of sandwich
@@web3wizard381 No Im turkish and we don't eat kebab with our hands maybe only for wings but we don't eat rice and kebab with the hands don't give wrong information
And what's wrong in eating with hands🤡 you guys must be eating pizza's and burgers with knife and fork is see. And Indian food is made to eat with hands, its difficult to use knife and fork to eat Indian food.
I melting since 10 minutes only laughing best steam of you two guys perfect team greetings from Germany
The cheese used for the Kunefe is saltless. Thats why it works well with sweet.
You and Luke are so so perfect together. You both should definitely go for more collabs.😍
