My same car but in white! I paid $45.5K after liking it and leaving, waiting for the dealer to call and saying I am interested but not ready! Then going back and wanting to sit and talk about it, then trading my 2020 Bolt and getting the $7.5K from the dealer directly I financed $30K! Same as any car! I drove this exact spec around for 2 days, and to me it felt like a cheaper car trying to portray itself as upscale. No CarPlay/Auto, horrible audio system, and generally a drab car for what it tries to portray itself as. A $53k MSRP is just too much for the overall quality/experience.

GM needs to make super cruise available in lower trims and less expensive models. You have to pay a subscription anyway and it I think it would help them sell a lot of cars.

I've had mine for 4 weeks. First 2 weeks were uneventful. 3rd and 4th week it went full blown possessed on me. Windows refusing to go up in 39 degrees and raining. HVAC physical controls won't work. Chimes whenever the vehicle comes to a stop. Blind spot indicators coming on on both mirrors at the same time with nothing around. Car not powering down properly. Infotainment system stopping streaming music. Infotainment not powering down when exiting the vehicle. Doors not locking from the button on the handle. Mirrors not folding when locking the vehicle. The list goes on and on. All of the problems except the HVAC problems have been intermittent and clear up after powering down, exiting the car, then getting back in and powering back up. Fifth week of ownership and I took it back to the dealer for an exorcism. They've had it 3 days with no feedback from the dealer.
Fun fact: some EV owners think regenerative breaking means that your brake pads actually regenerate. My coworker and Aunt both thought that’s what that meant 😂
The price tag is straight up ridiculous. I kinda don't get the Apple CarPlay argument. Does it let you text while driving through the UI on the built-in screens usually? If so, I don't see how's that any better than texting on your phone.
North Carolina has put an additional $200 tax on EVs and $100 tax on phev you have to pay in addition to your registration every year. Needless to say I was thinking of an EV but won’t be buying one anytime in the future.
I don't see what you can do with Apple carplay and you cannot do with it, or is it only because of the name Apple? Yes, you can read your message on the screen and you can answer, WhatsApp message maybe not You can install Waze, you can install Spotify, you can install Radio apps, you can install youtube music, if you have a very uncommon app you still can use your phone and still can command next and previous track from the steering wheel. I do that when I play RUclips on my phone. Downside I see is, you cannot install RUclips nor Netflix on such big screen, I know it is for safety but they can just block it while driving
GM changes their core beliefs quicker than farts leave a fan factory. I've been burned in the past by them letting paying customers do their quality testing for them. "Nobody Sweats The Recalls (details) Like GM."
As a fellow GX460 owner you have GOT to buy the Morimoto XB Led 7440 Amber turn signals. I’ve had them in for a year and they have never hyperflashed, dimmed or burned out and they’re relatively cheap considering how advanced they are. They are LEDs with a fan and a CANBUS chip as a failsafe. I’ve gifted them to all of my GX buds and family members because of how insanely good they really are
Usually I'm a fan of red interiors, but this one ain't it for some reason. I think they should invert the red/black scheme on the seats. I guess the car is unappealing to me as a whole (for the price). Yet another example of manufacturers growing out of touch with their customer base by the day.
Enjoyed the review. However , you said (4:22) put on an adapter to use a supercharger? Only Ford and Rivian have that privilege. GM and all others are still waiting on Lord Musk to grant access .
I don't really understand the whole issue with no carplay/andriod auto so long as google Maps is built in. Why is carplay/AA so important to yall? (Y'all referimg to those who wouldn't buy a car that doesn't have carplay.)
My thought is because it’s familiar and uniform across platforms. If you have multiple cars in your family and you switch between them, CarPlay allows for continuity across all vehicles. No need to fiddle and search for icons
For me it’s two reasons. First off CarPlay generally is a more pleasant experience with more app compatibility than anything GM has come up with but most importantly GM is wanting to charge subscription fees to google maps. Google maps is part of onstar connect which is free for the first 8 years or something. Obviously it won’t be free after that. No one wants to pay for this when CarPlay works fine and is free.
It adds lots of functionality that the car can’t replicate and they are only leaving it out so they can harvest more of your data. It’s a hostile move from automakers to leave it out. But specifically, I can choose whatever map service i want, choose any music/podcast app I like, and I can’t text with my voice.
Accountants, pencil-pushers, and corporate mouth breathers should spend a minimum of two months turning wrenches on each model of car they will get to sign off on…

Idk what it is about circular shaped air vents that I hate so much. Whether they’re in Mercedes, Chevy Blazers, Lexus’, they just look so cheap and out of place to me.
It seems to be a very tarted up average electric car. I find the interior pretty ugly, it’s not a place I would want to go everyday. Poor outward visibility is no bueno. The power cord adaptor needs a clamp to hold in place. I agree the charge door is poorly designed. You can see how cheap the body is from the wonky hood to tinny doors. If you have driving glasses, you would have a hard time finding the little icons to turn the car off, etc. And of course, no AA or CP is a nope. So it seems this car is just okay.
