I like the elaboration, and showing the photos. Would be good to show the photo for 2196. I think the photo is at least half of what's interesting about the article. I think the idea is that people see the photo, see the white dot and zoom in on it before reading the article and then are spooked by the description warning against that exact behaviour.
For me the elaboration is nice! But also your genuine reactions to some of the SCPs makes it feel like you are an Intern at the foundation. Like the reaction you had to the most dangerous SCP.
this comment is for the algorithm. I do like the little asides talking about your thoughts! In some previous videos you did occasional short little comments in the middle of reading (like for 5776: "aw it wrote embarrassed? So cute."), and I enjoyed those comments too!
another great one! the addition of your thoughts on the scps scratches the same itch that makes me go check out the comment sections on the articles themselves. i was also having an easier time with the effects and reading the text on screen. i have only marginal photosensitivity, but it's still rare for me to be able to watch stuff with this aesthetic comfortably. keep up the good work!
It's way better when you elaborate more on what you're thinking about the thing you read, even if it's "superficial" stuff, this not only give people a new perspective about it but also make things more clear to understand. Take for example a manga review where a guy reads and tells what's happening and after that he explains what he thinks it's happening and his opinions or theories. When you read a story, you know what's being said, but when you see other person reading and explaining the story, you begin to understand the meaning of what's being said. That's why your main channel stuff work so well, it's simple but effective.
I think no one else has noted this, but the rings immediately reminded me of fusion in DragonBall. AFAIK both have to wear the objects, touch each other and then they merge while releasing heat in the process. Also a suggestion for a video. Maybe a video about SCPs that are l o n g (not the articles, the SCPs themselves)?
looking less egg everyday, gettting less distracting from the amazing editing of the screen lol jokes aside, don't worry too much about what you're saying, whatever pops up in your head it's gonna be okay because if it isn't interesting or funny we will forget by the next SCP
I feel like a potential form the commentary could take, which would require a bit more "research" (reading other SPC articles), would be to quickly clarify and explain what any additional SCPs mentioned in an article are (I've had to pause some of the previous videos and look them up individually). That kind of context could help a lot of with some of these entries.
These three SCPs are super interesting, they are vague but imply interesting narratives, which is my favourite kind of SCP. I've always loved SCPs, but it's so intimidating to go into that archive, so you showcasing them like this has been great. Also: I love the visual design you guys are using, gives a 'I'm digging around in a secret old computer database' vibe that is delightful.
SCP-2196 is vague, isn't it? Doesn't it make you feel like you want to know more? Do you feel a compulsion to think on this SCP further? What if you knew that these weren't the only tests done on this SCP? Would that compel your interest further? The meta-narrative on this SCP is exquisite.
Above all else, what I love about your videos is after an extensive reading, getting to hear your perspective, what you like about them, what they remind you of, and how you feel about them. Keep it up folks!
as far as elaboration goes, and trying to get an idea of what you could say about the piece - the comments section of the SCP website often has incredible fun facts and trains of thought related to the SCP in question. I doubt you could just read them all straight out in a video, but if you go through and look at them it could definitely jumpstart your interpretation!
In the same way you said you might need to read other people's thoughts on the second entry, we just wanna hear your thoughts as you read it. Especially since you aren't, like, INTO SCP in the same way a lot of us are, it's always refreshing to hear a relative plebian's perspective on articles we've seen dissected to death in the community. I get the feeling there are plenty of articles where that's exactly ehat the writer wanted, to have people just take something personal away from it, and never intended for it to be analyzed to the nth degree.
I love and hate how sometimes I think the chair is like a dark hand on his shoulder.... 😅 I guess I would love some kind of weirdness, if only minimal, to the "stage", something that make us be uncomfortable even if subconsciously
I agree that elaborating is good! I like to hear your thoughts on the entries. I would really love it if you guys covered some genuinly terrifying or horror-themed SCPs.
I'm enjoying the elaboration. It could also be nice to include some comments from the article discussion section if there are any that seem worth mentioning.
I agree with the other people, share your thoughts on things! Also, most SCPs have some kind of title on the index. For example, SCP-2196 is given the title of "The Deep Mote". It'd be cool if you add that to the introduction of the readings or something, at least when it doesn't spoil the gag or otherwise diminish the suspense. They do that sometimes.
YES elaboration is good. We need more elaboration.
Could you elaborate on that?
Jeff says, "If you guys don't mind I'm gonna try having an opinion once in a while."
Trust yourself Jeff. Just say what you're thinking while you're reading them
That'd require effort.
@@Greendawn-di3dlinstead we just get jeffort 😔

Really enjoying the new format. Don't mind the rambling, just sharing your thoughts on the entries is great
I agree that 2196 feels like an older entry. It was a little confusing, but sometimes its nice to not have the whole story spelled out.
For me the elaboration is nice! But also your genuine reactions to some of the SCPs makes it feel like you are an Intern at the foundation. Like the reaction you had to the most dangerous SCP.
For whatever reason, I find your voice to be really soothing.

Commenting for the algorithm anomaly.

ACHTUNG.
Yet another banger. Great video

I have a suggestion. Now hear me out: SCP-????-J and it's extended mechanism log.
love love love the elaboration! just that little bit adds soooo much value to this for me, im really glad youre doing them
Maybe this is out there but with the first one changing colors, red light is moving away from you, blue light is moving closer.
Now this, is a banger
Above all else, what I love about your videos is after an extensive reading, getting to hear your perspective, what you like about them, what they remind you of, and how you feel about them. Keep it up folks!
I like how people had to beg for you to have an original thought.

I enjoy it when you share your thoughts at the end of the entry. It lets you gather your thoughts.
I love and hate how sometimes I think the chair is like a dark hand on his shoulder.... 😅 I guess I would love some kind of weirdness, if only minimal, to the "stage", something that make us be uncomfortable even if subconsciously
I love this channel already
Oh! How wonderful, thank you for another video. I've loved all of these a lot so far.
Enjoying the commentary, I would be really interested in hearing Veetis notes on the entries as well

This is great, you’re doing well
always happy to watch a new JVSCP!!
I’m not entirely sure if they are underrated, but SCP-2980 & SCP-1160 are both short reads from Djkatus I enjoyed.
I'm very much enjoying these videos, they're very fun watches.
I love this channel, and elaboration or your comments on the SCPs is great!
