Honestly, Tweek might have won the set if he went Bowser Jr. the entire time; Jr. actually has a decent matchup vs. Ryu. Hard to say for sure, though.

Can we once again talk about how Tweak's Bowser Jr is most hype thing to watch still in this game.
When Tweek dropped the character BowserJr fell into that same awkward position which Yoshi and Rob are in, being a really good character just with no representation from anyone high level.
He's not that good a character. All his power comes from Lack of matchup knowledge. You can see how much better the second round went. Once you start remembering Jr.'s tricks you dominate him. tbh, rob gives me trouble but its pretty similar for him too.

Don't know who to root for. I love Tweek's Jr., but Ryu is hype in general.

ideal I don't actually LIKE Ryu, but people don't like people who root for a person who uses Cloud, and I didn't want to start a flamewar like whenever I state my actual opinion.
Edit: He can be exciting if he is carrying a person offstage with nair and finish with dair, but most characters can do that anyway. I think it's ZeRo that makes people overestimate him.

I kind of thought of these off the top of my head, so probably not the most ideal tier list.
ideal I forgot about ZSS, so replace Ness or Marth with her, and MAYBE the other of Ness or Marth with Sheik, but I think she loses a lot of matchups like Charizard because of rage.

I'll be honest, I only watched this for Bowser Jr. Quite possibly my favorite low-tier character. I feel the character has so much potential to go higher than low but I'm sadly aware that he won't truly ever be

I hope they buff Jr in a few areas in the Switch version of Smash 4, mainly his cannon and mecha koopa. If those two moves are buffed to be actually usable, Jr. would be a perfectly viable but fair character.

It's called mecha-koopa bounce. If jr. grabs the mecha-koopa before it walks. You can down throw it and it would bounce instead of exploding.
