@@KevinHarrington55 So i ran out and looked at the harness and it has a relay on the harness itself. You are correct that it has one and Its most likely for the fuel pump output wire. The reason I ran another relay was amp draw on the pump im using. This is what Holley states in the quick start guid and the reason I had to run a separate relay. Kinda redundant I guess but the power wire on the relay in the harness is not large enough to support my Man size fuel pump. "Do not use this wire to power fuel pumps that require over 15 Amps."
This is so sweet man I sold everything I’d had been collecting to buy the Holley kit. Very similar set up to you just have the eddy Vic jr not the Holley. Can you tell me aside from the kit it self was there anything else you “need” to buy aside from the charging wire? Thanks for any info you can provide
Thanks for watching man! I sold all my stuff too for this so I hope it works well!! As for the stuff you need extra. If your boosted you will need a pressure sensor for the waste gate dome. If you want the computer to know fuel pressure you will need an extra sensor for that. If you have a newer stye map sensor you will need an adapter or you can cut an wire on the correct plug. Last you will need a can bus to USB cable if you plan on using the free software. So yeah lots of little extras but still not too bad. Im running Ebay sensors for fuel, oil, and boost so I will let everyone know if they give me a headache or not. Thank you for watching and let me know how your build goes!!! -Dane

If you have another harness you could just cut it out of that. But I was told it needs a resistor or a light no to burn the alternator up. The Holley one comes with a resistor wired in already. I just put it to keyed power and its charging. Im sure you could look up what it would need. I was lazy and bought the one they offer because im running out of time so its one less thing to worry about.
Burndown what’s a solid switch 12v to use for both the alt & the red/white switch bolt loose wire in the harness? Cig lighter? Or wire to battery (mines in trunk) with fuse?
Subbed! After seeing the terminator x install💯. Pretty basic tuning after it fires thank you for your content! - Brian
It will start a car after you run the wizard function. You basically set the parameters and then it fill all the tables in for you. Once its up and running you can plug a lap top in (after you buy the usb cable) and make changes with the free Holley software. If your new to turning the big thing with a turbo car is to not lean out the fuel on the big end and keep the spark down if your not sure where it starts to lay over on you. Looks like you have a ss2 so you know who sloppy mechanics is. He gives tunes away so you can download one of his and look at how he sets up his car and go Rome their. -Dane

When you did your first start with e85 what did you do for your settings for AFR? Did you spec it to a gasoline based reading? The hand held doesn’t give the option for fuel type which I’m sure you know.
Stoic is stoic. The wide band is measuring how much air it sees. I just run in gas scale because that’s what I’m used to. Lots of tuners use lambda witch I should probably get used to and use as well.
excellent video, well explained, I just bought the terminator X without the 3.5 display and I bought the 7 ”display, my question is, I can do the first steps as in the 3.5 display that asks you in wizard what injectors you are going to use and what engine do you have and be able to calibrate the tps or not?
Yes you use the 3.5" display to get the car running. Very first step is to calibrate the tps , and form there you run the set up wizard to input all your parameters to get the motor running! It coves all of this in the quick start guid! I think with the 7" you can run that and the 3.5 at the same time. I really want to get a 7" dash!
No they were just Ebay 20$ pressure transducers. I bought 2 100 PSI and 1 30 PSI. Used for Oil,Fuel, and the 30 for dome pressure. I believe all the bay ones are the same. Mine came form texas.
I took my alternator to a shop and had them install a self exciting module so all I need to do is run the power wire from alternator to the battery..done.
? Did you do an LS swap? If your using an LS alt it pretty much is a 1 wire alternator but you'll need a diode in the wire that is going to 12v to work properly. If not you'll burn out the alternator from what I understand. Holley makes the wire or you could just look up what you need. Sloppy Mechanics also makes a plug and play harness that is sweet.
No it has a Can-bus connection. They might sell an adapter. Why do you want an OBD2 port? The ecu has diagnostic LEDs on it and you can see lots with the little screen they give you. I still need some hands on time with it so I can get more familiar with all the settings and what not.
I used stock truck manifolds on my first install and had to cut and weld the passenger side up to bring it in off of the frame rail. I have cheap cast swap manifolds on the car now and they fit between there frame rails without modifying anything. Did this answer you question? -Dane

Didn't seem to run terrible on the FIC 850 data tho but I just idoled it to warm it up. Have not taken it out yet. -Dane
I started the car with the wizard and tuned it from that. It ran and drove from the first start up. I think its meant to get you going and it will learn over time but if your gonna beat on it I would make sure the tune is on point first. -Dane
Hey brother is this setup as good on tuning as they claim for beginners on turbo tuning? Very interested in it and making my life easier to get my turbo truck up and going thanks man great vids keep it up!!!
Hey Joseph, I have a video on why I think its the best bang for buck ECU out right now. It will make tuning easier but it will not really do it for you. It has a learning curve but its easier than learning HP Tuners IMO. If your not familiar with EFI I would set you car up NA first with the focus of going turbo. You can run the same cam injectors and everything without boost at first till you work the bugs out. Boost is a new bag of hurdles if your new to efi in general. I ran my car and learned the ropes when it was NA. The turbo has been a learning curve for sure. Tons of fun, frustrating, and nerve-racking all at the same time. I feel the key to keeping motors running is all in tuning and paying attention to the engine. Defiantly adds work to the equation but is wroth it in spades when the car works right! A turbo car sounds so rad!! Happy Hotrodding man👊
I dont know if you watched my why you should buy it video but I talk about just that. I will be putting another one in my Winnebago when I get to that point!
Hey man, I'm on my first build using this harness and idk much. Just one question. Why did you go with a pressure transducer vs just a oem oil pressure sensor/switch?
I hollowed out the original sending unit and tapped it to feed my oil pressure line for a manual gauge. Im not sure if the early GM sensors are the same plug style but that is why I bought one and did it that way. The transducer seems to be pretty accurate as I still have my manual gauge hooked up as well and they read the same. -Dane
@@taylorgrizzle1029 On this set up yes. If you just did a basic set up you could run a truck manifold and fuel rail and its built into the rail. That is what I ran on my first set up.
Love the vids man! I’m pretty local (in Moreno Valley) working on ls swapping my 72 Monte. Just curious your running the sloppy stage 2 cam right? Curious on what stall you went with?
I used ebay pressure transducers on my car. Low Dollar motorsports sells them as well. They are three wire sensors. The fuel pressure will just plug in and same with the oil pressure.
My old intake is going to a kid that is trying to put together his first LS motor. He also spent quite a few weekends helping me with my maverick and some on the Maliboom as well. He never asked for anything and always showed up and did a good job. I like to give back when I can to the people that support me, and im a believer in paying it forward so the manifold is his. I can see if I can get my hands on one if you need one. You want a TBSS intake? Thank you for following along!! -Dane
Yeah a tbss is the intake I would like. They are pretty much impossible to find in Utah. I would be putting it on my 1987 c10 squarebody. It has a 6.0 ls with a 84 mm turbo. Just has the stock truck intake. I will be at ls fest west so I will look out for you.
@@steffaniegeisler1836 The Stock truck intake is a good manifold its just a bit ugly. The TBSS is a 4 bolt throttle body so that is an added expense to remember as well. Ill shake everyone down and see if I can find one before I leave. Im having transmission trouble at the moment so im behind at the moment but ill see what I can do. Ill hit you up on here if I get ahold of one and we can talk. If noting at least I can meet you in Vegas and say hi. 👊
I have an older truck style alt and it works just fine with the one wire connection. I used the Holley wire to save some time. Sloppy mechanics also makes a plug and play harness for the alternator you can check out as well so you don't have to wire anything if you don't want to.
I can cover it more next Thursday but I ended up with a Holley 3 port controller. I was going to use a 4 port mac valve to start with but since I had trouble I ended up with the Holley brand mac valve 3 port. If you run another valve they told me I would have to do PID tuning witch is just another thing to do. I also had the valve hooked up wrong so that was the majority of my issue.
Majority of the stuff I use is from the free RUclips music library. I recently upgraded to a new service but only in the last few videos. I cant really tell you the name of the song. Sorry.
I have to ask, does the system come with your crank wire for the starter? Ive been trying to find out if it does or not and im not having much luck. Thanks.
No. That wire would go to your key or ignition switch. The Holley wire harness for the terminator is ment to run the engine management and thats it. The other functions of your vehicle should be covered by your chassis wire harness. Hope this makes sense. -Dane
Starter Wiring didn't change in my car from previous. Still off the key. Main Battery positive to starter and then the key to the solenoid on the starter.
They all pretty much look the same to me. Just make sure the PSI matches what your after and that its a 0-5v sensor. You can go 100psi sensors for fuel and oil and 30psi for boost reference. Mine where form some company out of Texas.

It comes with everything you need to run the motor except a few sensors and an alternator plug. The harness is different for different applications but the one I have is a drive by cable so it controls the IAC.
We will have to see. I thought the same thing. I think the plastic ones are better about not doing that but ill have to get a temp gun and check. Maybe a little reflective gold tape test on it to see if that might help it 🤔
@@chancecolwell3736 Sounds like you have some reading to do. Just follow the instructions that come with the Terminator X and you will be fine.

No gots Instagram brother I guess it’s time to bite that bullet I suppose
Was that alternator wire kit necessary? I noticed mine doesn’t have a spot for the connector either but wasn’t sure if it was needed.
I have a 4.8 , ss2 cam , pac1218's and now choosing the ecu I am pretty sold on this setup I have never tuned just getting my toes wet , how friendly is the preloaded "turbo ls base tune"! Pretty basic tuning after it fires thank you for your content! - Brian
Also what turbine are you using?
It will start a car after you run the wizard function. You basically set the parameters and then it fill all the tables in for you. Once its up and running you can plug a lap top in (after you buy the usb cable) and make changes with the free Holley software. If your new to turning the big thing with a turbo car is to not lean out the fuel on the big end and keep the spark down if your not sure where it starts to lay over on you. Looks like you have a ss2 so you know who sloppy mechanics is. He gives tunes away so you can download one of his and look at how he sets up his car and go Rome their.

@@wrenchlsx6856 They have a face book group you can go check out. Its cool once you start but sometimes it will drive you crazy trying to figure stuff out. HAHA.
Good luck with you set up! Keep me posted!
Burndown awesome, that’s what I was figuring. I appreciate the help
excellent video, well explained, I just bought the terminator X without the 3.5 display and I bought the 7 ”display, my question is, I can do the first steps as in the 3.5 display that asks you in wizard what injectors you are going to use and what engine do you have and be able to calibrate the tps or not?
Yes you use the 3.5" display to get the car running. Very first step is to calibrate the tps , and form there you run the set up wizard to input all your parameters to get the motor running! It coves all of this in the quick start guid! I think with the 7" you can run that and the 3.5 at the same time. I really want to get a 7" dash!
Thanks for the video! Do you have a link or part number to the transducer you used?
No they were just Ebay 20$ pressure transducers. I bought 2 100 PSI and 1 30 PSI. Used for Oil,Fuel, and the 30 for dome pressure. I believe all the bay ones are the same. Mine came form texas.
Killing the game son!! Shit got me rolling! Nice video man
Thanks for watching man! I appreciate it!!

What did you do for the IAT sensor? Will the Holley harness just plug right in to a generic GM IAT sensor (2 wire)?
I have a screw in IAT off of another gm car. I forgot what car it was. Its in screwed into the intake manifold.
-Dane
Which map sensor did you use. Holley 2.5 bar?
I have a 4 bar now but yeah 2.5 is fine
Right on Dane. Hope to catch ya at lsFest. Is there an obd2 in that terminator kit?
No it has a Can-bus connection. They might sell an adapter. Why do you want an OBD2 port? The ecu has diagnostic LEDs on it and you can see lots with the little screen they give you. I still need some hands on time with it so I can get more familiar with all the settings and what not.
Say HI if you see me at LS Fest! I will have free stickers and am trying to get some Hats done in time as well!
I got a 1965 and I’m ls swaping it and I was wondering how u came around on engine mounts and headers
I used stock truck manifolds on my first install and had to cut and weld the passenger side up to bring it in off of the frame rail. I have cheap cast swap manifolds on the car now and they fit between there frame rails without modifying anything.
Did this answer you question?

I just picked the FIC 850s and if ran on that. Didn't seem to run terrible on the FIC 850 data tho but I just idoled it to warm it up. Have not taken it out yet.

did you setup with lerning tune? and when you installed the turbo did you do the same of lerning tune oh did you do custom tune?
Happy Hotrodding man👊
Thank ya for the reply . I’m working on trying to see what it’s gonna do . 🤞talk to you soon brother!
God I love that intake what did ya give for that baby
The TBSS Intake or my new one?
-Dane
The new one
Great stuff! What'd you ever determine with the Holley alternator harness as to where it goes?
Its a 12 volt keyed source. If your slick you can splice it into the harness form the 12v that feeds the coils.
Seriously considering this for my 4.8 turbo build
I dont know if you watched my why you should buy it video but I talk about just that. I will be putting another one in my Winnebago when I get to that point!
The terminator x just runs the engine right? No transmission? So how I go about running my 4l60e or 4l80e?
You would need to buy the Terminator X Max. It will believe the transmission and the motor. They will also do the drive by wire as well.
Ok thanks!!!!
-Dane
Hey man I’m new to your channel and build what fuel pump are you running and how did you wire it up with terminator x
Im running a Magnafuel 4301 pump and its wired in with a relay for the power that is controlled by the Terminator X fuel pump output.
@@Burndown Do you use a external fuel regulator?
@@taylorgrizzle1029 On this set up yes. If you just did a basic set up you could run a truck manifold and fuel rail and its built into the rail. That is what I ran on my first set up.

Hi, Awesome video quick question what pressure transducer did you use and did you have to cut the wires off the holley harness to make it fit
I used ebay pressure transducers on my car. Low Dollar motorsports sells them as well. They are three wire sensors. The fuel pressure will just plug in and same with the oil pressure.
@@Burndown did you have to use an adapter for the install
If you are going to ls fest west I would love to buy that old intake from you.
Nice
So what fires the coils?
The ECU controls them
Will your alternator charge the battery with just the one power wire. And not running to the computer?
I have an older truck style alt and it works just fine with the one wire connection. I used the Holley wire to save some time. Sloppy mechanics also makes a plug and play harness for the alternator you can check out as well so you don't have to wire anything if you don't want to.
How did you deal with the boost controller? I didn't hear much about it. Excellent job though!
What song is that at 4:40? Sounds like an instrumental of Dotan - Hungry
Majority of the stuff I use is from the free RUclips music library. I recently upgraded to a new service but only in the last few videos. I cant really tell you the name of the song. Sorry.
have you ever had the issue where as soon as you go to boost -.01 then .00 on boost that it starts to miss and will stumble while in boost?
Check your plug gap.
-Dane
@@Burndown thats perfect, thats exactly what I needed to know. Thank you for the response!!
How did you wire your starter im having issues
Starter Wiring didn't change in my car from previous. Still off the key. Main Battery positive to starter and then the key to the solenoid on the starter.
What sensors did you use off ebay?
They all pretty much look the same to me. Just make sure the PSI matches what your after and that its a 0-5v sensor. You can go 100psi sensors for fuel and oil and 30psi for boost reference. Mine where form some company out of Texas.

Yo, how did you run the alternator wire?
Any way you could post the link to the ebay sensor's you got? I would like a fuel pressure reading on my 347 fox body but I am broke!
They were from a seller in Texas. Search 5v pressure transducer sensor. Just make sure you pick the right PSI you need. Oil you want 100 psi sensor but for boost 30 psi will probably work. They all look the same to me on eBay for the most part. Let me know if this helps ya.

No it does not. I bet they will have one out soon. I now Matt from Sloppy Mechanics made a few plug and play units. I just run straight E85 im not flex fuel. The terminator will do it tho but you will need to use an input I believe in order for it to work.
