I am so glad you made this video. It was detailed and I was able to replicate random videos. I am on Windows 10 so I had to press "Shift+Right Click" to find copy path other than that minor hiccup for me this is a genius tutorial.
Thank you. I try to make things clear and simple. When I started out streaming it was hard to find any tutorials on things that weren't long and complicated. Glad I could help you out.
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm going to go watch the rest of your tutorials now. Very clear and easy to understand. One thing that would be nice is to see the command in action after it's been created.
This is how I envisioned getting this done! Thanks for the tutorial! Very clear, concise, and informative. Positive Criticism: Your backdrop has so many cool things, but it's hard to notice all the cool things, it's cool overload. Have a few pieces that stand out, little less chaos.
Thank you for the kind words. Also, the positive criticism, love it. My room was a disaster lol.. I now use a green screen.. for cleaner videos.. thank you again.

Hey Drake, I have a question for you relating to having mix it up read from a txt file. Would it be possible to make a text file with Twitch Usernames, and when someone uses a !command have it check to see if their name is on the list, and if yes, execute the !command?
@@raharuaharu5646 Okay, you can do it, you just need to add a CONDITIONAL action with the CONTAINS comparison option. I put it on my list for another tutorial.
@@DrTaco1982 Did you check for updates in MIU? If it just stopped working I would check for updates, check to see if maybe you moved a file as well.. I've had that happen where I moved a graphic / video and where MIU looks for it its no longer there..
how can i connect the comands to point channels? to make it more interactive with viewers? like, a viewer click on a point channel and a random sound starts
Hey Coopper. MIU actually has a section on the left side list called: Twitch Channel Points. You can create your channel point sounds etc in there. Basically, you set them as commands (on the bottom, just select the middle option: Create New Channel Point Reward) and MIU will automatically add them to your channel point list on Twitch. Then when you're done, you just log onto your Twitch Dashboard, go to viewer rewards, and then edit them. IE: Set how many points, cool downs etc.
Hey my videos arent visible for some reason when i do this but the sound plays. I have it as an overlay exactly setup the same as you, Any suggestions?
Check OBS and where you have your browser source. If the MIU source is below overlays or gameplay you won't see it. Move the source, MixItUp Overlay, above everything. That should solve your issue.
Yes, scroll down in the action list and you'll see Sound as an option. And if you're using it for this aspect it would just be the same but use sound files..
Thank you, very useful video. Is there a way to display the name of the file that is being played in the chat or on the screen? By default, the path to the file will be displayed on the screen, but how from this "D:\stream\MixItUpRandoms\001\XXX.png" get just "XXX"?
Not sure what you mean by dispute name. It will show the actual file: image etc on screen. Not sure about the file name. Is there a reason you want the file name to be displayed? Maybe I can understand better
@@jokingdrake13 I wanted to make a reward for channel points. When it is activated, a random picture with the hero is shown on the screen. But there are no names of heroes in the pictures, the hero's name is the file name. And so that the user knows what he got, I wanted to display this information in the chat.
The easiest way to do that would be to use a graphic program and put the heroes name on the images directly. There's a way to associate a random text line with a corresponding line from another text file so you could have something come up in chat.. its a bit complicated.
I used this for my horror Trivia. You could probably apply the same principles to get the Heroes name in chat. This is my Trivia Tutorial. ruclips.net/video/-WKxc6GupYM/видео.htmlsi=XkdOqZViaMKed-RL

Does this work with webm files because I can't seem to get this to work. All the other mix it up videos are working so I know it's not a layer issue in obs
Hey DJ, I just ran a test with a webm file and it worked perfectly. In your text file you have other videos listed that pull up fine? If thats the case, Try these things: 1) Check is that the actual video is fine (not corrupt file). 2) Make sure the file path is correct in your text file. 3) Make sure you removed the quotation marks "" from the file location in the text file. 4) Double check your MIU is up to date. 5) Check your OBS is up to date. Hope this helps..

I'm not sure how you set it up, but I've have been using this for over a year and my files don't get deleted. I use it for channel points redemptions, and others for entrance commands and nothing has been deleted.

Hello! Is there a way to make the videos appear in random positions on the screen?
Unfortunately not that Im aware of, it's based on how you have the MixItUp source set kn your screen in OBS and the placement within the command..
