Thank you sooo much for this!! I'm the trenches of setting up everything on my channel and will be ready to stream soon. From what I'm understanding, it's good to have a chat bot like nightbot or yours, honkbot for example for stuff like automated messages and mod commands, but this would be great to have as well for more engaging features such as the channel point rewards? Sorry if this is a confusing question!😅 I'm still trying to navigate everything
I was originally going to see if the tutorial had info on how to add special items to daily check ins, but it was SO helpful learning how quick and easy it is to add sound/gif to my daily check in redeem! Thaaaaank you Alyssa
@@TTInventory SORRY IM 2 MONTHS LATE but essentially i was looking for how to add line items to daily checks- i.e.- my daily check in redeem is a cozy drink- when people redeem that they can get a randomized special drink like a "mocha latte" or "lavendar latte" Hope I was able to clarify!
Do you have to have a capture card and OBS to use this? I stream directly from my xbox and dont have a capture card yet or the other things I need, I do have a pretty old laptop I use to manage my stream and look at chat! Thank you for this video
I haven’t streamed directly from an Xbox, so I’m not too familiar with that process! However, MixItUp only runs on Windows, so if you wanted to use it you would need to route the Xbox output through OBS on your computer with a capture card. I use the Elgato PCIE card and it works great for everything I need!
Hello Alyssa! I am having such a hard time right now using Mix It Up. I loved this video however I am trying to set up a raffle command. I want to type !startraffle to start a raffle and !endraffle to end it and then I want my community to be able to type !raffle and I want the tickets to cost 13,000 of my currency but I am not sure how to set it up and I have scoured the interwebs to no prevail. Any idea how to set something like that up? You seem extremely knowledgeable with this sort of thing. Thank you for your time.
Hey!! Have you checked out the “giveaway” section in the menu? That’s what I use for raffles- it’s super super easy. You can do everything you said except I don’t know how I would connect currency to it cause I haven’t tried that yet
@@TTInventory So that totally worked! I am able to use currency and the viewer can choose the amount of "tickets" they are purchasing to enter. My only issue now is I want it to say "Congrats @$username you have successfully purchased (the amount of tickets they purchased) Good luck! But I can't figure out what syntax or argument or whatever I am supposed to put to state how many tickets the viewer purchased. So for example they put !raffle 10 it will deduct the 13,000 points x the number of tickets and whatnot but when it writes it chat it says this "Congrats @$username you have successfully purchased $userraffleticket raffle ticket(s)! Good luck and may the odds ever be in your favor!" I can't figure out what goes in that spot in front of raffle ticket(s). Any ideas? I truly appreciate your help and speedy response time as well.
@@TTInventory That worked but one thing I am stuck on is the chat message telling the community member they purchased the amount of tickets they have. Do you know the syntax or command or whatnot for it to say like "Congrats @$username you have purchased raffle tickets! I have tried certain things but nothing has worked.
@@horrorbecomesthem I'm not sure what that special Identifier would be honestly! I use mix-it-up wiki for all the special identifiers and there are about four for giveaways. Maybe you can make raffle tickets an "inventory" item, and then set it up that way? I have a tutorial for that here: ruclips.net/video/7DdPuAr18oM/видео.htmlsi=vNa5s0lM5Z3lRmgQ
If I’m understanding your question correctly, all you would need to do is create a channel point as I have shown here, and then have a sound that is the same duration as a gif or image of a timer that you choose to add. You can make the timer length as long as you want (example: how I added the mushroom to this video), and then you can either add whatever sound you want, and you can shorten the sound in mix it up if need be. The sound clip you upload to mix it up will play for the entire length of the sound, so you need to edit it on your own in audacity if need be.
Hi Alyssa!! I am stuck on one part of this, maybe you can help with your next video!! Now that I have the daily command created, I want them to be able to purchase things with the money they recieved, however i want it to be random. When the Mixitup bot gives the options, it looks like the viewers have to like type !shop List and get the whole list, then !shop buy to get it. I wanted them to be able to just type !buylunch and it give them a random lunch from the list i made. Is this possible?
I’m actually working on a currency video to post as soon as possible! However, making random purchases with a command is actually quite tedious and difficult. It took me a really long time, so I’ll have to make that in a separate video. As far as using commands to purchase items, I’ll have that up asap ❤❤
Do I need to have the application open when I go live on stream? Or will my chat commands/timers/channel points occur automatically even if the program isnt open?
You just simply create a new Twitch account, and then tell mix it up “this account is my bot account” in the settings! I believe in this tutorial I show an example of toggling off an option that says “send as streamer”. Toggling it off will have the action send as the bot ❤
Thank you mother goose

I started off with nightbot but actually moved everything over to mix it up, I don’t really use nightbot at all anymore!
