I wouldn’t say that in Hong Kong I’ve had some the best Chinese dishes but in North America YES in Toronto many great authentic restaurants on Spidina Ave. also in New York in Manhattan. I’ve visited HK over a dozen times and honestly it’s a hit and miss every time.
Accustomed Chinese people know that customer service is not a factor in the tastiness of the food! Get yelled at and ignored, but the food will be better
Not really the case for the one I went to. There were a lot of details I left out in the video, as to not to disgrace them any further. I’m not asking for exceptional service, but just wanted to be treated equally

I loved HK in every aspect, never been to North America so can't comment on that
I passed by there in December of 1981 on my way to Canada. I’ll re-visit someday.
