But Razageth is a lightning dragon so technically she has an electromagnetic field around her, similar to the earth, which repels solar / fire winds. The beam would have contacted her but the electromagnet field caused the beam to veer slightly off 🤯🤯
The whole siblings vs siblings is getting pretty old. Sargeras turning on The Pantheon, Neltharion turning on the Aspects, Zovaal turning on The Eternal Ones. Alex referred to the Primal Incarnates as Clutchmates so even they are related somehow
Nothing wrong with that, their relationship is kinda what makes the conflict interesting. The dragons corrupted by the titans vs the dragons who naturally evolved using the elements.
Holy hell i LOVED the wrathion/alex dialogue where protecting the clutch is more important then taking the citadel back. That was just fantastic stuff to watch

Besides, it would be really strange if she choose to kill Raszageth after imprisoning her for years to spare her. If she had the will to kill Raszageth, she would have killed Raszageth long ago. And fighting an enemy in the air isn't the same than fighting an enemy on the ground.
There was a lot of critisism about alexstrazas new design, it was changed for obvious reasons regarding reasent events. But i personally think it looks badass. Not to mention shes still hot.
It could be that Raszageth and her allies see humans as tools to be tossed aside but I wonder if they are aware that gnomes humans and dwarves are titan creations and if they don't whether they would still let them be their servants.
Crazy how wrathion just put aside his hatred for the red dragonflight and actively saved alexstrasza. Did he forget in cata he killed the reds who came after him ?
He realizes he needs them to help save the obsidian citadel. That's why he pressures alex so much after the fight. That's why it's so hurtful for her to say she expected him to care more about helpless eggs than he seems to, cause she remembers it was her flight that experimented on him while he was a helpless egg. Wrathion is not afraid to grovel to secure the little bit of beautiful history of his flight thats left.

Also, Alexstrasza abandoned the Primal Incarnates in their prisons, never visiting, she left them alone in darkness for twenty thoussands years to the point that even most dragons didn't know about their existance and she is surprised that she "failed to restore peace between them". But she didn't even tried! 6:40 why would the eggs be considered corrupted? or even in danger? It's not fel energy, it's not demonic or from the void, it's just elemental energy like the very ones that make the world, like the very ones that the dragon flights wields despite embracing the Titan gifts. 11:03 I thought it was Malygos that provoked the slumber of the Drachtyrs?

It's very clear that they treat anything and anyone that don't think like the titan dragonflight is a threat and corruption. As representatives of order, they are incappable of accepting anything but their point of view. Anything else must be destroyed/sealed or converted to their ideology.
Consider 2 things. 1) The elemental lords originally served the old gods. As such, these primalist protodrakes, in serving as a sort of aspect of the elemental lords, in turn were servants of the old gods. 2) Bobby's bigger yacht needs more plot retcons for his next bonus.

It does paint an interesting picture of Neltharion. Even before the corruption he never did a thing without strings attached. While his actions looked heroic from afar they were anything but. Everything was about building his image and gaining leverage.
I don't think that they are. As I think long ago the Dragons the True way of the Dragons was supposed to be un touched by the Elements and the Titans. But the Elements came first and gave Dragons power to spread there way to Fight other Elements for Domination. Then the Titans came did there own with the Aspects. In the end this is just a war of sides in the Cosmological map. The Elements Vs the Titans and the Old God's picking there own sides as the Elements are more aligned to Chaos then say the Titans with Order.
I wonder how they knew about, let alone how to destroy the titan artifact. This all sounds like a plot to enslave Neltharion by the old gods. Isn't it curious that Raszageth let's Wrathion run around unharmed? I bet she is under the influence of the old gods and they want Wrathion for his potential being the only Black Dragon left in existence (and buds with Anduin)
Nah e cannpt be redeemed after having almost killed all dragonflight and destroyed the world. But that can give more flesh to the character than just "yah i became a bad guy"
Why does no one knew about the Dragon Isles but the Baddies are supported by Tauren, Trolls and so on? Blizzard Stories are always dumb and make no sense 🤣 Are these btw. ALL Cinematics of the leveling from 60 to 70? I mean I do not expect 10 hours of Cinematics like in FF14 but 12 minutes is kinda low. They even cut Patch 9.3 to have more time for 10.0 🙄🤔
Fascinating how people keep coming just to spill their contempt. What's funny is also that they often criticise without the good reasons. The Dragon Isles are known from players since a decade or more.
Some obviously knew. Taurens and trolls were there before the sundering, even if the information was mostly lost through millennia, it's obvious few would remember it and be part of it. Plus, considering the protos are about elements, it's not surprising that some shamans learn about them. Really, there is no need to look very far to understand the good reasons. Blizzard's made many mistakes but not everything is bad.
So it feels like Raza thinks she was betrayed and maybe rightfully so Ala accepted the titans gift and Raza wanted to continue drawing her power from the ones that created them. It feels like the primals didn’t like this maybe and so Ala began a campaign of forcing the titan order on everyone so the planet wouldn’t be chaotic in her eyes based with the new power and knowledge she obtained. But possibly not all the dragons felt that way and some liked the world the way it was. You just had two opposing viewpoints with one side feeling persecuted for existing and it didn’t help that the same side got locked away, only fueled them even more. Really if you think about it the titans did in their own way corrupt them because the primals were there first it was their home and the titans sought to bring order to them when they didn’t want it.
Say what you will about Raszageth but I think she was a pretty good villain despite the short amount of time we saw her. Remember that unlike expansions like Legion and Shadowlands this whole expansion isn't centered around a single goal of destroying the Incarnates. It's about the Dragons rediscovering their homelands and the dangers brought with it whether it's the Djaradin, Incarnates or the Sundered Flame rebels. The Incarnates may have the spotlight right now but Raszageth had a role and she filled it. Through Raszageth, we found out about the Incarnates and a decent amount of Dragon history was uncovered with a civil war and all. I honestly loved Raszageth because she told us the story and honestly had some good points. Raszageth's role was basically to introduce us to the story while also being a threat, she's only the first threat we face. Raszageth was the youngest and probably weakest of the Incarnates and depending on how good Blizzard's writing is this expansion the others will not be as easy to subdue since they learned from Raszageth's mistake of trying to release them too quickly. However, Blizzard really underestimates how much people read their lore and since I doubt many of you know, Proto-dragons didn't just exist since the beginning of Azeroth. During the war against the Black Empire, the Titan Keepers fought against the Elemental Lords and pushed them into the Elemental Planes. The elementals that remained slowly turned into the Proto-drakes and with Titan intervention after the death of Galakrond, they became the Dragons we know today. This explains why the Proto-drakes we come across in Dragonflight look like they resemble elementals.

They still can tell good stories, that's what makes me so mad about blizzard as a whole. Everything else about the game and blizzard itself is just not it anymore.
Not sure the meaning behind it. Every other aspect of the games they make is really good, the artwork, the animation, the music, even the voice acting. And often the gameplay can be held up when done right. The issue with shadowlands was the story, how they wanted to subvert things, which is never a good thing in long running stories, it pisses off long time fans and muddles everything for new ones trying to get into it.
I suspect that a significant part of the quality of the writing for WoW is dependent on how much content has to be cut during an expansion. Rather than designing the game to tell a story, WoW instead focuses on the gameplay stuff (raids, dungeons, etc) and uses the story as a means of moving players into the endgame content. Even the best writers would struggle with trying to tell a good story if they had to deal with not knowing how much of it would be cut because the dev team managed their time poorly. I also suspect that's why so much of WoW's story ends up in books. The writers have far more control over the book than they do over the game. I'm not saying that the writing team are blameless for all the story issues, but I do think their job is made more difficult by the poor time management of the dev team.

Sibling vs Sibling, again. Another "Powerful Entity" breaks out of prison. We've literally fought Old Gods, which are far more powerful than the Primal Dragons- so I guess we're taking a step back on the wrung of the enemy danger level ladder and still struggling. Glad I quit, gonna love the end of the expansion when the Old Gods rise up once more and we have to help the Primalists fight them or find out they're all corrupted by one.
Has anyone else noticed Deathwing's actions were not of a villain during the time travel story? No proof he tends to use them as weapons against his own and only turns to the side of old gods once his creations' lives were in danger as well seal them away even when they would have been still loyal to him and able to be controlled by the old gods. Nothing Deathwing did make sense if he was evil at the time he did it if anything it proves he might have been a good guy up to the point of old gods power being used.
Ehhhh. You see a cutscene in one of the quests that revealed that Netharion had actually enslaved the Dracthyr using a titan relic. The attack that caused him to turn to the old gods accidentally destroyed the relic, releasing the Dracthyr from his control. He put them in stasis because now the Dracthyr were free and were not guaranteed to not question his orders. He was 100% using them as weapons because he was using a titan relic to ensure the Dracthyr could never disobey him.
Agreed that the tiny arms look off but keep in mind that the proto dragons first debuted in wrath of the litch king as less wise under evolved dragons. These cunning proto dragons are something new/forgotten we are seeing in dragonflight
Really makes me go "So the aspects never did anything useful?". Okay, sure they stop Galakrond but that was before getting the upgrade. They get the upgrade and barely manage to beat the unpowered flights, can't beat the demons,, Don't stop the orc invasion, can't stop Kelthuzad from killing like 1/5th of the world. They never do anything that matters once they get empowered.
I'm a big lore fan, SL crushed all my hope for a decent lore and DF is doing no better. Having said all that, DF by far has the best zones even for antiquated wow engine, it all looks beautiful. I have long forgotten the story which I enjoyed all the way to the end of legion. I now play DF purely for the content it provides and so far, I'm very happy. There is still that lingering hope for the lore to get better.

I don't think that they are. As I think long ago the Dragons the True way of the Dragons was supposed to be un touched by the Elements and the Titans. But the Elements came first and gave Dragons power to spread there way to Fight other Elements for Domination. Then the Titans came did there own with the Aspects. In the end this is just a war of sides in the Cosmological map. The Elements Vs the Titans and the Old God's picking there own sides as the Elements are more aligned to Chaos then say the Titans with Order.
I wonder how they knew about, let alone how to destroy the titan artifact. This all sounds like a plot to enslave Neltharion by the old gods. Isn't it curious that Raszageth let's Wrathion run around unharmed? I bet she is under the influence of the old gods and they want Wrathion for his potential being the only Black Dragon left in existence (and buds with Anduin)
The story keeper of Hull Highmount is a ebon drake there is a handful a live not just Wrathion.
And there's also Sabellian + what he recreate from his Flight, Wrathion is not the only uncorrupted black dragon anymore.
Don't forget the Black Dragons still on outland
they did wonderful job with face animations in engine cutscenes.

The Dragon Isles are known from players since a decade or more.
Some obviously knew. Taurens and trolls were there before the sundering, even if the information was mostly lost through millennia, it's obvious few would remember it and be part of it. Plus, considering the protos are about elements, it's not surprising that some shamans learn about them. Really, there is no need to look very far to understand the good reasons. Blizzard's made many mistakes but not everything is bad.
So it feels like Raza thinks she was betrayed and maybe rightfully so Ala accepted the titans gift and Raza wanted to continue drawing her power from the ones that created them. It feels like the primals didn’t like this maybe and so Ala began a campaign of forcing the titan order on everyone so the planet wouldn’t be chaotic in her eyes based with the new power and knowledge she obtained. But possibly not all the dragons felt that way and some liked the world the way it was. You just had two opposing viewpoints with one side feeling persecuted for existing and it didn’t help that the same side got locked away, only fueled them even more. Really if you think about it the titans did in their own way corrupt them because the primals were there first it was their home and the titans sought to bring order to them when they didn’t want it.

Say what you will about Raszageth but I think she was a pretty good villain despite the short amount of time we saw her. Remember that unlike expansions like Legion and Shadowlands this whole expansion isn't centered around a single goal of destroying the Incarnates. It's about the Dragons rediscovering their homelands and the dangers brought with it whether it's the Djaradin, Incarnates or the Sundered Flame rebels. The Incarnates may have the spotlight right now but Raszageth had a role and she filled it. Through Raszageth, we found out about the Incarnates and a decent amount of Dragon history was uncovered with a civil war and all. I honestly loved Raszageth because she told us the story and honestly had some good points. Raszageth's role was basically to introduce us to the story while also being a threat, she's only the first threat we face. Raszageth was the youngest and probably weakest of the Incarnates and depending on how good Blizzard's writing is this expansion the others will not be as easy to subdue since they learned from Raszageth's mistake of trying to release them too quickly.
However, Blizzard really underestimates how much people read their lore and since I doubt many of you know, Proto-dragons didn't just exist since the beginning of Azeroth. During the war against the Black Empire, the Titan Keepers fought against the Elemental Lords and pushed them into the Elemental Planes. The elementals that remained slowly turned into the Proto-drakes and with Titan intervention after the death of Galakrond, they became the Dragons we know today. This explains why the Proto-drakes we come across in Dragonflight look like they resemble elementals.

They still can tell good stories, that's what makes me so mad about blizzard as a whole. Everything else about the game and blizzard itself is just not it anymore.
Not sure the meaning behind it. Every other aspect of the games they make is really good, the artwork, the animation, the music, even the voice acting. And often the gameplay can be held up when done right.
The issue with shadowlands was the story, how they wanted to subvert things, which is never a good thing in long running stories, it pisses off long time fans and muddles everything for new ones trying to get into it.
I suspect that a significant part of the quality of the writing for WoW is dependent on how much content has to be cut during an expansion. Rather than designing the game to tell a story, WoW instead focuses on the gameplay stuff (raids, dungeons, etc) and uses the story as a means of moving players into the endgame content.
Even the best writers would struggle with trying to tell a good story if they had to deal with not knowing how much of it would be cut because the dev team managed their time poorly. I also suspect that's why so much of WoW's story ends up in books. The writers have far more control over the book than they do over the game.
I'm not saying that the writing team are blameless for all the story issues, but I do think their job is made more difficult by the poor time management of the dev team.

Sibling vs Sibling, again. Another "Powerful Entity" breaks out of prison. We've literally fought Old Gods, which are far more powerful than the Primal Dragons- so I guess we're taking a step back on the wrung of the enemy danger level ladder and still struggling. Glad I quit, gonna love the end of the expansion when the Old Gods rise up once more and we have to help the Primalists fight them or find out they're all corrupted by one.
I've got a feeling Alexstrasza will be the big name they kill off this expansion

Has anyone else noticed Deathwing's actions were not of a villain during the time travel story?
No proof he tends to use them as weapons against his own and only turns to the side of old gods once his creations' lives were in danger as well seal them away even when they would have been still loyal to him and able to be controlled by the old gods.
Nothing Deathwing did make sense if he was evil at the time he did it if anything it proves he might have been a good guy up to the point of old gods power being used.
Ehhhh. You see a cutscene in one of the quests that revealed that Netharion had actually enslaved the Dracthyr using a titan relic. The attack that caused him to turn to the old gods accidentally destroyed the relic, releasing the Dracthyr from his control. He put them in stasis because now the Dracthyr were free and were not guaranteed to not question his orders. He was 100% using them as weapons because he was using a titan relic to ensure the Dracthyr could never disobey him.
If they had no pathetic T-Rex arms and looked more like GoT Dragons these had actually potential.

They get the upgrade and barely manage to beat the unpowered flights, can't beat the demons,, Don't stop the orc invasion, can't stop Kelthuzad from killing like 1/5th of the world.

I'm a big lore fan, SL crushed all my hope for a decent lore and DF is doing no better.
Having said all that, DF by far has the best zones even for antiquated wow engine, it all looks beautiful. I have long forgotten the story which I enjoyed all the way to the end of legion. I now play DF purely for the content it provides and so far, I'm very happy.
There is still that lingering hope for the lore to get better.
