As for the Bronze Dragonflight, there's speculation that the Infinite Dragonflight had been trying to kill Chromie because there was a timeline where she successfully saved Nozdormu, so they're trying to stop her in other timelines. If true, this raises hope that Nozdormu's fall may not be as inevitable as he believed, and we may actually get to save an Aspect for once.
Okaaay, gonna say this here. Malfurion isn't dead. He is in Ardenweald until Ysera is done with her job in Azeroth. The reason she'd never ask it of him is because if she dies on Azeroth he would be stuck there. So again, he isn't dead, he is just there until Ysera can finish her job and make her daughter an aspect.
Malfurion is "not needed" in Dragonflight. They'll have him back, riding the new World Tree / Night Elf Capital (now with fire extinguishers) and nothing at all will have been lost.
Malfurion sacrificing himself actually makes a lot of sense. As we learn in the lore, he eventually concentrated every possible Druidic power, including the Forms (Bear, Raven, Wildcat), plus the ability to explore the Dream as he pleased (or so it's mentionned). Suffice to say, he had become the EMBODIMENT of nature, to some extent, hence his unchained rage when Sylvanas burnt Teldrassil down. But still, it's not enough to keep the balance as a whole. Malfurion was the ultimate Druid. The Ultimate Keeper of Balance. He was simply the fittest to handle taking Ysera's place.
And that's how the long history of the Stormrage Brothers comes to an end. One as the Jailer of the most evil of Demons, and the other as the Guardian of the Balance of the Afterlife.
This title is misleading. Malfurion didnt die. He temporarily took Ysera's place but he didnt die in the process. The Winter Queen simply moved the bond from Ysera to him. So hes very much alive in ardenweald right now learning things about druidism he didnt and probably couldnt have learned on azeroth. That there is as much power in death as there is in life. That one cannot exist without the other and that the balance he knew of before he got there is small fries compared to the great existential balance that the winter Queen and her sister Elune uphold and maintain.
Tyrande and malfurion "illidan how could you accept volatile power to help defend our people against the Burning Legion? You're banished forever" also tyrande and malfurion " tyrande it's totally cool if you perform this forbidden ritual to gain dark powers to exact vengeance upon those who killed our people"
Tyrande is tired of Blizzard's bullshit, just like the fans Malfurion is sidelined again Illidan is fucking disappointed and he ain't even around to see it
And we did such a banger of a job at that. I have a headcanon idea that throughout Mists of Pandaria and to Shadowlands, Alexstrasza was just facepalming atop the temple at Dragonblight, until finally deciding that nope, she can't let mortals fuck things up any longer.
"You have always been the strength of our people" 1. got saved by malfurion in WC3 2: almost lost her political power to staghelm when Malfurion was trapped in the emerald dream/nightmare 3. malfurion presence saved the whole world during the cataclysm 4. Tyrande had the patience of an child and was lectured by Wrynn a human about being patient during pandaria 5. during legion she got fooled by Xavius by like 4-5 times and was overly obsessed by malfurions safety only to abandon him for a temple she hadnt seen for like 10000 years. 6. during BFA she uses an ancient spell to unleash the power of elune which could have killed her, only to lose it in SL while fighting Sylvanas overpowered plotarmor. Blizzard what the fuck,,,, how is this female night elf the strength of her people,,,,, no wonder night elves keeps losing in WoW.
Tyrande: 1. always had political skills, e.g. when she convinced Alexstrasza to help in the war of the ancestors. 2. she fought the legion together with Azshara. 3. she is Elune's high priestess 4. she rebuilt the night elf culture after the world was divided 5. she was skillful enough to bypass Archimonde
To truly walk the path of your brother, who gave everything to ensure the safety of our world, required sacrifice Malfurion. Something that you now finally understand.
So when the new lore will be released? I want to see alex and ysera see each other after years :( and other aspects see ysera their face like what, how except nozdormu maybe he already saw that their sister will join dragonflight again.
This...makes no sense....They wanted Ysera back to take her place once more as the Aspect of the Green Dragonflight, only for her to pass that to her daughter...so that means Malfurion died for nothing. The writers at Blizzard are so pathetic.
I dont know .. i would be sad ... but last expansions that shows us that someone who is dead is not really dead and can be brought back some other day ... i am not so sad of it :D malfurion dope tho .. it was emotional when tyrande said that she is tired of everything .. :)
In the words of Muradin in Heroes of the Storm: "Oh no, Blizzard killed yer favorite character...Well don't fret. Odds are they'll be returnin' in an expansion or two. Trust me, I know."
I don’t understand, when and how did Ysera even give up her life for Malfurion? She died because she was corrupted by Xavius using the Tear of Elune when she tried to attack him. And then she tried to destroy the temple in Val’sharah but Tyrande and the other Kaldorei stoped her and killed her. She NEVER interacted with Malfurion nor tried to save him. That’s the story that happened in Legion when she died. Nothing more to it
Malfurion was supposed to die by Xavius' hand after being captured, but Ysera interfered during our search for him and she instead became corrupted which resulted in her death by our hands. Ysera wasn't meant to die that day. It's why only Malfurion can temporarily take her place in Ardenweald. The life saved for the life that was taken before its time.
@@Mittoa if you don't remember, Ysera interfered and didn't saved Malfurion. His life was not saved or traded for her, because Xavius didn't plan to end him there. Malfurion was used by Xavius to lure her. We saved Malfurion in a dungeon long after she was gone. Malfurion supposed to die by Xavius' hand by whom? Blizzard from 2022? That is the only explanation. Because he is a toxic man I suppose.
I really wish they had done this a little more accurately. Ysera DID NOT give her life for Malfurion. She chose it. My hypothesis is that she had darkness in her heart she must have fought against it. The corrupted Tear of Elune hit her straight in the heart...where by their mythology lies in the heart and Ysera gave into the nightmare. It was way too easy (Dragons are not invaluable of course, but they're not easily swayed. They're has always been a catalyst aka hate and all its buddies). Malfurion feels guilt for not BEING the one to die since he was the one that charged after Xevius blinded with rage for what was done to his master and mentor, Cenarius. Did Blizz forget their own story lore? Don't get me wrong, I love this game and happily blame my brother for introducing me when it was just BC. The Legion expansion is my favorite to level up in above the others (I didn't play it when it came out, but I do spam it when leveling now). If I missed something, I'd like to know. I've studied the cinematics and it doesn't point to where this new cinematic claims. It should have been different, at least in terms of why Malfurion would take her place. This scene is still touching, but annoyingly wrong. Not sure who is writing for WOW now, but whomever it is should know the WOW lore before creating content. It makes for a lousy storyline when WOW has the potential to be freakin' awesome with its storylines. Over all, love DF much better then SL. I believe that WOW is heading in the right direction. Just hope they stop with the botched storylines......not even going to mention some of the content. That for another rant. End of rant.
Malfurion = aight i'll take your place in the after life they need you Ysera = sike my daughter will take over my position thanks i guess ? Malfurion = ......... the amount of crapy writing after legion is just epic lmao
Malfurion was set to die in Legion during the nightmare. Ysera "took" his place in that part. Besides he has not been active since the Druids of Flame. He had a minor appearance in BFA but it was not sufficient. Man almost got hacked by High Overlord Saurfang.

HORDE: A lot of iconic characters treated like a joke, happend to be mad for some reasons. Leaders dying like flies. ALLIANCE: Great sacrafice, potrated as martyrs, honorable at the end. And here we go, people cries about Malfurion, and people tends to forget few things. Malfurion sacrifice makes total sense in scheme of things. Like, if not for his "short temper" towards Xavius, Ysera wouldn't die in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I do holds some respects towards Malfurion, but we have to accept the fact, that his sacrifice is making total sense. He felt guilty of being the very reason, why Ysera times has been ended. Not to mention, Balance needed to be maintained, and he knows this well, as Ysera too. She couldn't ask of this to Malfurion, but Malfurion did know what needs to happend. Before anyone jump in and yells of saying - It is bad writting, hur dur, let's me remind you of one thing - we've been told that becoming Night Warrior it goes with the great price, and Tyrande did not paid this due being Elune's favourite. Sylvanas characters has being turned upside down. Her main goal was to bring down Arthas, and afterwards - secure place for her kind (Forsaken), atleast we've been told in Cataclysm, then she went warmonger path and happend to be a puppet. Vol'jin dying due random mob, when Varian commits ultimate sacrifice, Cairne dying off-screen, or even Thrall spitting on traditions of Mag'hora for the sake of defeating Garrosh. There is more of that, but in this case? It was great moment to see, that Malfurion's fate is actually properly managed. Like, it wasn't out of his character, and goes well with theme of Stormrage family, for example? Illidan sacrifices everything and his personal freedom to keep Sargeras in check.

@@thegreatjedi309 As much as I want Nozdormu to remain alive and well...I also want to see Aspect Chromie.
@@thegreatjedi309 really hope they dont change Noz for chromie...
Im not crying nope not me. Oh heck who am I kidding played since 2007 on both sides this gets me in the feels so hard.
Furion's been trying to catch a break from Tyrande for 10,000 years and always jumps on every opportunity to take a nap away from her.
He keeps watch over the Dream, and always comes back to her... don't know what you're talking about.
@@PeaceCrafter That's just what he says. Bro just goes back to his mancave.
@@darigaaz66 This comment literally made me laugh out loud in a meeting at work that I was definitely supposed to be paying attention.
Ysera has always been my favorite..
ME TOO
You did great with the editing at the end. Man :( this all hurts my heart.
Or they just needed to get rid of the male leader for muh female empowerment
@@thezerowulf2046 Jesus, get a grip on yourself. Not every bad plot point is a super-secret cabal's efforts to ruin men.
I need alexstraza and ysera reunion next 😭
Wow. I hope that they do Alez and Ysera reunion.
My heart aches for the elves.
That one cannot exist without the other and that the balance he knew of before he got there is small fries compared to the great existential balance that the winter Queen and her sister Elune uphold and maintain.
the title makes it sound like Ysera killed Malfurion
According to what im reading in the comments, she kinda did, and for no reason
This was amazing!
Poor Malfurion, he don;t get much love in Wow lore
"much"
Tyrande and malfurion "illidan how could you accept volatile power to help defend our people against the Burning Legion? You're banished forever" also tyrande and malfurion " tyrande it's totally cool if you perform this forbidden ritual to gain dark powers to exact vengeance upon those who killed our people"
Tyrande is tired of Blizzard's bullshit, just like the fans
Malfurion is sidelined again
Illidan is fucking disappointed and he ain't even around to see it
i feel this...blizzard has woketarded writers.
Wasn't the whole point of the end of cata that the aspects are just big dragons now, and it was up to mortals to defend Azeroth?
Merely a setback
Have you not paid attention since?
That was then, until Blizzard run out of ideas for story and expansions. Don't overthink it.
And we did such a banger of a job at that.
I have a headcanon idea that throughout Mists of Pandaria and to Shadowlands, Alexstrasza was just facepalming atop the temple at Dragonblight, until finally deciding that nope, she can't let mortals fuck things up any longer.
Mortals basically failed. Dragons found a sword in the world, watched mortals literally nearly kill the world over it and decided "Yeaaah bad choice."
Waiting for the reunion of Ysera with her sister!
"You have always been the strength of our people"
1. got saved by malfurion in WC3
2: almost lost her political power to staghelm when Malfurion was trapped in the emerald dream/nightmare
3. malfurion presence saved the whole world during the cataclysm
4. Tyrande had the patience of an child and was lectured by Wrynn a human about being patient during pandaria
5. during legion she got fooled by Xavius by like 4-5 times and was overly obsessed by malfurions safety only to abandon him for a temple she hadnt seen for like 10000 years.
6. during BFA she uses an ancient spell to unleash the power of elune which could have killed her, only to lose it in SL while fighting Sylvanas overpowered plotarmor.
Blizzard what the fuck,,,, how is this female night elf the strength of her people,,,,, no wonder night elves keeps losing in WoW.
for real
Tyrande:
1. always had political skills, e.g. when she convinced Alexstrasza to help in the war of the ancestors.
2. she fought the legion together with Azshara.
3. she is Elune's high priestess
4. she rebuilt the night elf culture after the world was divided
5. she was skillful enough to bypass Archimonde
Jesus christ, we got Ysera...a nobody, effectively, instead of a truly jacked/powerful Malfurion. Jesus christ Blizzard.
I'm strarting to think that the writers hate the nightelfs for some reason, like give them a break ffs 🙄
where is justice for Ursoc!!! JUSTICE FOR URSOC
WE NEED URSOC !
Malfurion just discovering some new fab forest locations to nap. He'll be back, don't worry.
I just want vengeance for my people. I'm still bitter.
We all know that Merithra is going to be the new Dreamer and the new Aspect.
Trust me, I know."
everytime i rewatch this it make cry.
Illidan enters the chat
Malfurion left the chat
For 10,000 years I am now prepared
Ysera is always shaking peoples hearts
STOP ASKING QUESTIONS MISOGYNIST! GURL POWER YASS! GIRL BOSS!
Is Thrall still untouchable? I haven’t played in years but I feel like Thrall will always be the favorite.
green jesus always has a place in our hearts
He's nowhere to be seen though
Malfurion = aight i'll take your place in the after life they need you
Ysera = sike my daughter will take over my position thanks i guess ?
Malfurion = .........
the amount of crapy writing after legion is just epic lmao
so like was Ysera brought back for nothing and Malfurion is just died for no reason???
Yes
FMA: Edward: It was a equivalent exchange
Malfurion was set to die in Legion during the nightmare. Ysera "took" his place in that part. Besides he has not been active since the Druids of Flame. He had a minor appearance in BFA but it was not sufficient. Man almost got hacked by High Overlord Saurfang.
Just wanted to point out two things:
1.Great video
2.Reported the spammer in the comments, please be aware of this kind of people and don't click on their profile pictures
I hoped both Malfurion and Ysera would return to Azeroth
The Heroes come back...they always do.

Why did Malfurion need to do the exchange again if Ysera will still not be a aspect ? Oh man this lore team...
He needed to go away because he was a positive straight MALE character and not a female, gay, or trans cripple. It's all about GURL POWER YAS! now.
Ysera's death was so sad and emotional...... and this just destroys her emotional REAL death and destroys Malfurion..... WHY? so stupid!!!! WORST IDEA EVER!!! WHY kill Malfurion like that?
