I'm Brazilian and I watched your video with subtitles. What a spectacular video, it reminded me of 2016/2017 at my grandmother's house, I spent hours watching videos of My Summer Car and dreamed of being able to play it one day. 2 years ago I realized my dream, I played My Summer Car for the first time. After watching this video I'm going to open the game because I have to get my new pieces that arrived at the teimo.
The map is quite similar, just with more features. A big thing is the flea market (and the whole getting parts) which will add a TON of playtime, with very likely a new story
what sucks is that as time went on the dev kinda grew a distain for people who use the game mechanics to make it an easier process and started adding negative reinforcements to make you play as he intended. uuuhg, i miss when it was a fun playful simulator that had the easy to play hard to master vibe instead of being thrown in the deep end and told to "swim correctly"
I tried to come back to the game after not having played it for around 6 years, and I gave up very quickly. I don’t like the fact you don’t have the van at your disposal anymore, and all these stupid little rules that weren’t ever there. For example: You want to listen to the boombox? You have to buy batteries. And don’t get me started on the jail system. In 2016-2019 or so, the game was plug and play. It was simple. You start in your house, you get the van, you go and get some supplies, and start building the car. Now that process isn’t as simple anymore

If you're caught having fun with his life simulator, he will patch it so you can have the authentic devs life sim...

Then I didn't hear it about it again until a couple months ago and so much has been added and changed. Before it felt like a "forever early access" streamer slop game, but it really does feel like an actual game now.

I remember when i was 9 years old at the time watching Squirrel everyday and waiting for his next full length episode of the game. I really miss the old version, i hope someone simply makes a mod that brings back all of the old removed features such as: the brighter colours and reflections and brighter graphics, old ambient sounds and the old white HUD, with all the benefits of current day my summer car. I will always love my summer car for turning me into a proper car enthusiast.
I've played this game since mid 2018. I ran it on a old hodge podge of a PC that i got 15 frames on (if the world had just been created that is). The love i feel for this game is undescribable
This definitely isnt a major difference, but just a fun fact i know, the truck you crashed with the gifu used to be a wood truck, but because whenever u drove past it the fps would drop a lot so they changed it to the beer truck (at least thats what i remember)

to be honest i still prefer First Release Bc Its Capable With 32Bit systems (broke 4$$) i can even play this game on my schools laptop lol (yes i tested it)(P Quality) (20-7 fps) And its easy to play you dont have that creepy wiring thing 😭😭😭 peeing in sauna and echo Teimo is so cool !!!! old ui looks like xp not the modern sh- i think thats cool and simple too !! i love old textures. final is i played 2016 version for like 400 hours pirated !!

a lot more has changed than i thought it would, one thing i don't like is how the graphics got duller in color. i think the vividness of the original game was much nicer
tbh i dont understand why people like old msc more just because it had FUN in it but the game just seems so creepy and lonely with almost no one living in sucha a large map! I mean i know the veterans find old msc nostalgic but i think developer did the right thing to make the game more challenging and alive After all you dont play this game because you find FUN in it,You play it because the game is challenging....
I love the early version, played it like crazy but i kind of stopped after 2018, its evolved so much i dont think I even understand it anymore. I should buy it out of respect, I pirated it and loved it.
I own the game but I have a bootleg portable copy that I have loaded onto my work laptop. Some paid tomfoolery never hurt XD Fun fact, the saves are compatible with the old versions. I loaded a save from the old version into a new version and my stress meter was maxxed out to the point where it took 2 whole cigarettes to get it off red
i seed you forget to say the satsuma can be the body and the another parts off the body damanged throwing EVERY THING and the another cars and the featrue you can see your arms in the rearview and the bug in the change a gear in the satsuma
This game has been on my wishlist for a few years now... I finally want to pull the trigger and give it a shot but the "negative" reviews saying that it used to be better and some new features making the game less fun have been holding me back. Would you still recommend picking this game up as someone who never played it?
I bought it a month after it's release. my fav thing was immortal truck, no wiring mess, leaving the sauna on 100% of the time, and the money glitch TY graystillplays
I am about 95% sure that MSC is abandoned. No updates in a very long time. MWC is a game i'll probably skip as from what i have heard it's going to be the same game/map but with winter. and to be honest , there is a mod to make MSC into MWC. so...idk. i guess i'll have to wait until there is 100% solid news on the next game. i have well over 700+ hours in MSC.
MSC is not abandoned, it’s finished. There was just a small update 1 month ago. Toplessgun is working full time on My Winter Car, and just because he’s not leaking the entire game before it’s released doesn’t mean that he’s not working on it. Be patient

Typical Indie dev's. they all seem to have one thing in common , Make a game , update it a few times and either abandon it and/or make another game. I have 850 hours played. i like the game , hell i was one of Toplessgun's testers back in 2015/2016. i have been with this game since literally the beginning. I believe another reason it got removed was because the dev couldn’t find a excuse to put logging facilities in the town

the game was pretty boring after a while without the story because it got to easy after the 10th play through building the car back then
